Looking for a quick bite, we went by fellow Yelpers reviews, and in a rare 1-off, found this place to be unremarkable. We both got a bagel sammie, and the eggs were half-black from a grill that obviously needed cleaning, maybe from use from the day before. Bagels were fresh, but nothing out of the ordinary. Kind of feel like we wasted a good bagel opportunity . . . Cheers! RS

Bagel Buffet was one of the few places right by Union Square that serves an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage, and they're available at lunchtime! I was nursing a craving for this specific but popular breakfast sandwich but was sad (and surprised) by how hard it was to find a place that would satisfy it. The bagel unfortunately had some burned bits on it but was otherwise good. There was a pretty thick sausage, fluffy egg, and good amount of cheese--and it was only $4.60! (It ended up being $4.20 after using a college ID for 10% off.) While I wouldn't recommend coming out of the way to get a bagel here over one of the famous bagel shops, I think Bagel Buffet deserves a solid 4 stars for a cheap sandwich that checks all the boxes! :)

I've lived around the corner from Bagel Buffet for almost a year and I'm sad to say that it took me this long to try it! The number of times I've passed it on the way to Murray's bagels is embarrassing. The staff is nice and service is quick! I got The everything bagel with egg cheese and sausage, toasted with a fresh squeezed OJ for a little under $8! This hit the spot & i will def be back!

Super quick bagel spot! Very soft and tasty bagels. Limited seatings, but several different bagel options. Very quick service and friendly staff. Coffee is pretty good.

Bagel Buffet NY Manhattan Union Square/Greenwich Village 1pm BagelSunday 31st January 2016 Three Stars This small place served up an okay bagel. They didn't have Salt Bagels. Grant got an everything Bagel with Bacon, Eggs, and Cheese. I had Chorizo, Eggs, and Cheese on an Egg Bagel. They were smaller than usual. The eggs were freshly cracked and cooked. The meat was lacking and cheese was barely melted. Overall, it was okay but definitely a quicker alternative to Murrays Bagels down the street.

    Run!

Do not take this place for a real bagel shop. It's not. They have a basic selection of starchy bagels, though I don't know where they are trucked in from... the word 'bagel' shouldn't even be in their name (it's more of a quick/greasy lunch & sandwich joint). I think they offer nova salmon, but I didn't trust it here. I'll save my craving for another venue. Would I return? Ha. There are too many good (& legitimate) options nearby, at least for breakfast. Lunch? I'll pass. I don't know who is boosting this place with 4-5 stars, but whoever it is, please stop comparing places to the Path Station holes you frequent. Come above ground, come up for air, and treat yourself better. Don't give a place 5 stars just because their dingy fluorescent bulbs aren't burned out.

I think this is really me...and I'M in NYC! I live right around the block from Bagel Buffet, which has performed splendidly over the years. Love their tuna, egg, grilled cheese sandwiches on toasted bagels. Have lots of great, unusual salads and cream cheese specialties, as well as burgers and meat sandwiches. Since the pandemic and the warmer weather, Bagel Buffet has set up a small outdoor dining area...very cute and decorated with beautiful and real plants. New furniture also selected by only woman working there. And you can sit there forever. Here are some pictures.

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. They also offer an option to pay an extra $45 to take your leftovers home, which is absolutely worth it. I ended up with so much food that my fridge is still full. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Even though it looks old school inside, it's actually very organized the way they have multiple shelves with various packaged foods. It was a bit overwhelming trying to decide what to get. The part I appreciate the most is how there's records of when every batch is cooked and when they need to be disposed of. I think it's because they put these prepared foods in room temperature and need to be more careful about bacteria growth. Per my observation, most of the items could only last ~3 hours. I kept seeing staff go around to check inventory and the time. I went in at 4pm and 8pm, and surprisingly it was busier late afternoon. At 8pm, more than half of the options were gone and there's also plenty of seating. I think they open till much later, so perhaps they're taking a break until people come eat before/after drinks. Less options on the shelves also meant less of a struggle figuring out what to eat. I saw staff put 50% off stickers on two items. I'm assuming it's because they're both reaching the end of their shelf life and have a lot leftover. I ended up getting white fish fillet jeon and japchae with beef bulgogi. Appreciate how they have microwaves and plenty of seats. I actually tried tasting the items cold and no, they need to be microwaved. I wanted either jeon or kimbap as one of my items. I ended up getting fish jeon since it seems healthier with big pieces of fillet vs other jeons seem to have more batter. It was simple without much flavor. It needed reheating. The sauce included tasted like a light soy sauce. I originally didn't think I would want to use it but it actually enhanced the fish jeon without being too salty. I'm satisfied with this item but don't think I'll get it next time. I was thinking of japchae or fried rice for my other option, but the fried rice options I was interested in were sold out by the time I returned at 8pm. On the first few bites I didn't like the japchae and beef bulgogi. It was a bit too sweet and oily for me, but then I got used to it and it grew on me. I was actually wishing to add some black pepper to it but also got used to it without. The portion is pretty big and I felt full before finishing the whole dish. I'd be glad to get this again.
