Great option for bagels in the village... large selection of bagels, schmears, sandwiches from eggs to smoked fish (many different salmon options), sides etc. Next time I have my eye on a bagel with lox! Dark inside, has some historic charm. Lines move at a good pace, filled with locals and tourists. read more

They forgot the cream cheese! Now, to be clear, their online ordering system is a little ambiguous on this. When you order a bagel with lox and cream cheese, and then it proposes a "cream cheese add on" you get confused. Am I paying an unnecessary buck for cream cheese that's already included? That certainly happens. But here's the rub, I did the exact same order two weeks ago (without taking the cream cheese "add on" in both cases) and it had cream cheese. Solution: fix the ordering application to remove these ambiguity and you'll get your stars back. read more

Overall: 4.5/5 [delivery] My husband ordered the New York Style Pastrami Sandwich on a toasted everything egg bagel with sauteed onions and avocado for delivery to his workplace. He got it at lunch but didn't eat it until dinner and it was still so good after just a quick pop in the microwave. It's a thick, loaded sandwich that's perfect for sharing with so much pastrami packed in. Honestly one of the best pastrami sandwiches we've had. read more

HAD to pay them a visit because what's a trip to Manhattan without a bagel thrown in there. They were busy but luckily we nabbed a table by window. They had a few tables inside and benches out front but it really is "cozy". The bagel had great flavor and the perfect chew. The strawberry cream cheese was light and made of real ingredients. The potato latke was ok. I wanted it crisper but it was still flavorful. The staff could be nicer but whatever... the food was yummy! read more

Did a Too Good To Go pickup from here. Despite being day-old bagels, the quality is high. The bagels are thick and chewy with a nice crust on the exterior. They included a good variety of bagels as well. Great bang for your buck. Would highly recommend a TGTG bag from here! read more

I came to Murray's Bagels during a weekday lunch. I felt like the line wasn't too bad to order, and after ordering, I got it within 5-10 mins. I had the Traditional. Which is basically a salmon bagel with cream cheese plus the standard toppings. For the bagel, I got the everything bagel. I paired that with the strawberry cream cheese. I felt like the bagel was solid but I did wish there was more salmon. My favorite part of it was the strawberry cream cheese! I found it really flavorful. read more

Pretty good bagel spot. Not the best place ever but the bagels themselves are pretty good. Shop is also cool and the prices are pretty reasonable. The special of the day salmon was not my favorite as I found the texture to be off. Should've just stuck with my favorite classic lox. Anyways if in the area I would get it. read more

I love Murray's ever since my first time in New York years ago. They're consistent, fast, good people that get your bagels right. I got the whole Megillah and they stuff it to the brim. It's really two bagels in one. I think I would have liked a saltier cream cheese spread to add a little more flavor but loved all the veggies. My friend got a breakfast bagel and loved it as well. Happy to come back here for a great bagel. read more

I've been a Murray's devotee for many years. Love the whole wheat and multigrain the most. Best whitefish salad in town. In addition to the bagels and fish their lentil soup is great. But the main reason I'm writing this review is to give a huge shout out to Melanie, one of the managers. I've connected with her on the phone numerous times and she is the boiler plate for what great customer service should be. She, and Murray's, are the best! read more

Simply stated: my favorite bagel spot for over 15 years. The bagels, spreads, omg the spreads, the sandwiches so good, so big and the coffee!!! Some places can make an item and serve coffee and one or the other isn't as good as it should be. This place provides both. I always recommend them to people who are going to nyc. read more

The space here is really cute and spacious, which was a nice surprise in the middle of the city. It's definitely a place you can sit and relax for a bit. Unfortunately, the staff didn't add much to the experience. Even though it wasn't busy, they were pretty transactional and not especially welcoming. I wasn't expecting over-the-top friendliness, but it still felt a little cold. The menu is massive, which honestly felt more overwhelming than exciting. It took a while to sort through all the options, though I appreciated that they had a little "popular picks" section first time visitors (or just anyone who gets overwhelmed by too many options). I ended up ordering the BECA, which was huge and looked great, but it didn't quite deliver on flavor. The avocado kind of took over the whole thing, but weirdly, it didn't have much taste itself. It just muted the other ingredients instead of adding to them. The iced coffee, on the other hand, was genuinely great. It was strong, smooth, and refreshing. Overall, not bad, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again. It gets the job done, but I was expecting a little more across the board. read more

Great bagel place in Chelsea, the lox avo and egg on everything bagels combo was so good and filling. The ingredients are fresh and the bagel was toasted just right. Service was quick and friendly. There's ample seating spaces and classic nyc deli ambience we got seats right away even on busy Sat morning. Def recommend! read more

I was looking for a bagel shop while visiting NYC and discovered Murray's Bagels. They offer an amazing selection of bagels that are hand-rolled and made fresh everyday from just a few simple ingredients. Murray's Bagels offers a selection of signature sandwiches featuring authentic, fresh-sliced meats and cheeses from the deli as well as homemade salads. All sandwiches are made fresh to order. Upon entering, it looked just like what I was expecting with a NY city vibe. The menu was massive so it took me a while to decide. The service was not overly friendly and seemed a bit annoyed as I figured out what I was ordering. I ordered a poppyseed bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon, and it was exactly what I wanted from a New York bagel spot. It was hand made fresh, perfectly toasted, and generously filled. The poppyseed bagel had great texture and flavor, and the egg, cheese, and bacon were hot, well-balanced, and satisfying. I paired it with a lemonade, which was refreshing and a great complement to the sandwich. However, I should have ordered the large lemonade as the price point was only $2 more than the small. Fast service, classic vibe, and consistently solid quality. If you're craving an authentic NY bagel sandwich, Murray's is a good choice. read more

I got a bacon egg and cheese poppyseed bagel. It was good but the bagel felt too thick. The price of the bagel was about $8. It is very pricey. Murray's does brisk business on this stretch of 6th Ave with assembly line efficiency: queue to the left and choose from an almost baffling number of toppings for your wide variety of bagels, put in your order, and wait for your number to be shouted out. I dropped in on a blustery Monday afternoon and nabbed a smoked sturgeon + tofu cream cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel. It wasn't too busy, so my order came through in about five minutes. I managed to find an open table and sat down. The bagel was pleasantly chewy and bigger than most, though the fish was a little underwhelming. I ordered a takeout pick up order from here. It was super busy around 10:45am on a Wednesday. Orders are placed towards the back of shop and pick up is in the front. They call out your order number when it's ready. They have maybe half a dozen tables for seating. The pick up experience was a bit chaotic because they don't call out pick up orders by name if you placed them online or through an app. So you have to ask one of the employees and they have to retrieve the order from the back. My order was about 15-20 minutes delayed. Another woman was also waiting for quite awhile. The employee handing out orders had some extra bagel sandwiches and was kind enough to give them to us to make up for the wait. I ordered egg, cheese, jalapeños, and beyond sausage on a croissant. It was just okay. The jalapeños were pickled and a bit sour. The croissant dough wasn't the freshest. Still, it was decently filling and I do appreciate that they offer vegetarian meat and a variety of toppings to choose from. I also got an M&M chocolate chip cookie, which was pretty dry. read more

I get to visit a few times a year when I'm visiting my eye doc around the corner. IMHO, this is the BEST BAGEL IN NYC!!! I used to rank Ess-a-Bagel 1st, but Murray's turned up their game! Oh, Murray's, where do I even begin? If bagels were a love language, this place would be shouting "I love you!" from the rooftops. My friend went with the Woodstock on a poppy seed bagel, and let's just say, the addition of bacon was IT. Now, as a gluten-free gal, I was mentally prepared for a bagel that could double as a doorstop. But lo and behold, the Beca on a gluten-free bagel (hold the cheese) was shockingly delicious! Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside--it was good. Murray's nailed it, and I left with zero gluten regrets. If you're looking for bagel heaven with a bacon upgrade, this is the spot. read more

Thanks to numerous positive Yelp reviews I decided to forego my usual (closer) bagel spot and try out Murray's. Very glad I did! Even in a bagelcentric city like NY, the top quality of Murray's bagels and smoked fish stands out. For my first visit I splurged on "The Rivington", comprised of lox, sable, cream cheese, capers, sliced tomatoes and onion on your choice of bagel - in my case, everything flavor. The fish was fresh and absolutely delicious, as was everything else about the generously well constructed sandwich. I particularly liked the crunchy consistency of the bagel, no need for toasting. My partner got a turkey club which he said was yummy as well. The only (minor) downside was the small pickle which I would forego next time, not a biggie as everything else was plentiful with excellent value. Service is brusque yet efficient, as can be expected in a bustling place like Murray's. I look forward to many repeat visits in future. read more

Really good! I'd put it up there with russ & daughters or brooklyn bagel co! highly recommend. They have a good selection of everything- bagels, toppings, spreads you name it. Hello, I gave this place 3 chances and they messed up every time with my order. Every time ordered a whole wheat everything bagel with my eggs, it was a regular whole wheat bagel. If you place an order for organic bagel or gluten free along with the other options, you will never know which one is which. They just drop everything in one bag for you and let you to figure which one is gluten free, or organic, etc. Wouldnt recommend this place since all 3 times the sandwiches were messed up. read more

This place has great fish and super bagels. I walked 10 blocks in 21 degree weather and it was well worth it!!!

They let dogs in here. There's a big sign "no dogs." I told the employees and they did nothing. Bagels with "light butter" are slathered in much I can feel my arteries clogging as the dripping oil stains accumulate all over my clothing. Do not recommend. read more

There was a bit of a line on a Saturday morning but the wait was overall 10 minutes or less, so not bad. I ordered egg and cream cheese on my bagel. I was charged for an "egg sandwich" and bacon came on my sandwich. Not sure if that was a mistake or they don't allow simply egg on the bagel, but I guess I'm not complaining either way because it was really good. Because I ordered egg on the bagel, my order took longer than most to come out. About 10 orders came out before mine did, while my friend who ordered just cream cheese and an iced coffee got his right away. There are several tables here, and so a lot of people were enjoying their breakfast. I can imagine it's good to come early to grab a spot if you're interested in dining in, but the bagels are wrapped well so if you wanted to -you could eat it on the go! read more
