everything bagel with scallion vegan spread and tomatoes

Tried my usual bagel here (everything bagel with scallion vegan spread and tomatoes) and it wasn't bad but it wasn't the perfect bagel. I wish the everything bagel had salt as one of the seasonings because it was missing some flavor and salt would've brought it together nicely. The bagel itself tasted a bit eggy to me and as someone who isn't a big fan of egg it was a little off putting.

Sofia's is a cute bagel place in west village. There's maybe 3-4 small tables inside with good lighting since it's got big windows. It does feel more like a takeout place since the space is limited. I ordered the Sofia's bagel and it came out really quick. The person at the register was also kind and helpful as well. The toasted bagel was crispy and warm, not too hard. I enjoyed the amount of lox and the cream cheese on the bagel. It was delicious and I'd come back again.

Sorry to say it's a 2. While I always want new businesses to succeed I have to be unbiased in my reviews. Place is nice overall with 2 2 person tables inside and 10 2 person tables outside to sit at. Service-despite having 4 guys preparing the food and 2 cashier stations things went kinda slow. Now onto the food. Coffee was good with self service opportunity to moo it and sugar it. For me that works well. The bagels, not so much. A little too chewy and a sparse amount of cream cheese. Also, a bagel with a shmear and a large coffee- just short of $12 bucks. No thank you. I'm gonna equate it to this analogy being the US Open is in action. A 100 or so players show up to play in the Open. Only 64 make the cut to qualify into the first round. Sofia's Bagels didn't make the cut. Not coming back anytime soon

$6.79 for a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagels are flat and not nearly as large or fluffy as a typical New York bagel. They also barely added any cream cheese. I would've been disappointed if I paid the standard $4 for this, but nearly $7 is ridiculous. And they don't list the price on the menu because they know they are price gouging. Will not be back.

Breakfast burrito was kind of middling for the price--the hot sauce was essential to give it a decent amount of flavor. (Season your eggs or add a tasty sauce or something!) Still, I enjoy coming here and having a relaxed bite at the outside seating.

Mexican burrito (eggs, hot peppers, tomato, onion, cheese, avocado) but on a whole wheat everything bagel

Good bagels/sandwiches. Expect a wait on a weekend late morning/noon. NYC/west village prices should be expected.

Horrible and expensive. It is most certainly not a NYC bagel. Would rather get one at the bodega down the street.

Prices are right on point with the rest of the West Village and it's great to have a new dedicated bagel shop nearby.

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

Anyways, the girls had bookmarked another bagel establishment but the line was hella long like they were giving away Knicks gear for free. Ironically another "bagel shop" search on Yelp showed PopUp Bagels was like three doors down lol. No line! That in itself was making me question but there is a PopUp in San Diego that my daughter swears by. PopUp advertised itself as "Not Famous, but known." Whether or not this bagel is better than the one store three doors up is something I cannot attest to. However I can say THIS WAS A DANG GOOD BAGEL! And it was freshly made! How do I know? It literally burned my fingers when I ripped it open! The pain was worth it. Outside, a slightly crisp texture generously coated with "Everything". Inside was a dense and chewy dough that was pliable but able to withstand the dipping and shmearing of cream cheese (which was smooth). Best I have ever had for sure but then again my most common bagel experience is the place named after a scientist where tons of bagels are sitting in bins for who knows how long. So why wasn't this a 5-star experience? One, I only ate one thing. Two, sevice and setting are "just there". Considering it wasn't busy I would expect a bit more of a welcome. To eat you're bagel you can full on just leave, sit at the three stools inside where it is super hot (bc hey they actually cook), or three stand outside. There is a little, I'll say "patio", where you can stand, eat, and true story, watch two people argue about who gets to sort through the recyclables from the neighborhood eateries. Snack and a show???? I just stood near the door and enjoyed my bagel.
