Everything bagel LOX CAPERS DILL SANDWICH
    Tinesi P.

I tried to place an order for a TooGoodTooGo bag at Gramercy's Bagels, but for some reason, it didn't go through. After struggling with the app and watching the last bag leave with someone else, I was left heartbroken and bagel-less. Determined to satisfy my craving, I searched for nearby bagel spots and stumbled upon Pick-a-Bagel. Despite some mixed reviews, I gave it a shot; and I'm glad I did! I ordered an everything bagel with the Lox caper dill cream cheese, and it was fantastic. It lifted my spirits immediately, so much so that I even grabbed two pumpernickel bagels to take home. The cream cheese was rich and flavorful, and more reasonable than spending $20 for lox on your bagel. I'll definitely be back! My only critique: when they toasted the everything bagel, some of the toppings got a bit burnt. If they can fix that, it would be perfect! Also, the cream cheese portion was so generous, I'll have enough left for another bagel in the morning.

Moshe L. A couple things. See image below and thank you for validating my extremely accurate review. Also if you're not responding to negative reviews or apologizing for poor behavior.....what made you respond to mine? The proof is in the pudding. Your lines are way shorter then your competitors just down the street. Maybe instead of focusing on not apologizing for bad behavior try focusing on ways to improve. You have a lot of opportunity there. Best of luck.

Pick A Bagel is always fresh and spotless, with flaky croissants and smooth lattes, all complemented by exceptional customer service.

On Thursday I had an Everything Bagel with chicken salad. It cost $13 & change. I was shocked as I had no idea that prices had skyrocketed through the roof. When I questioned the price the man behind the counter spoke rather rudely to me. I didn't like it. I ate the sandwich but have decided to find another bagel place with better prices. The slice of pound cake has also risen to $5.15. Sticker shock all around.

One of my favorite bagel spots in the city. They have fast service, indoor and outdoor seating, and some BIG bagels. Get the sausage egg and cheese toasted on any bagel and it'll be a good time. Reasonable prices and lines that will not kill you. Should be a classic NYC bagel on all peoples lists. They also have gift card specials if you realize you want to be a regular!

I've lived in NYC for 7 years and have had my fair share of bagels over my time; and Pick a Bagel is up there with some of the best. That said, their BLT's are without a doubt one of the best sandwiches (bagel or not) in the city! If you're a BLT fan, you must try immediately... you'll be happy you did! Lastly, their staff is always so incredibly kind and appreciative of any/all customers. I'm a big Pick a Bagel On 23rd St fan and think 5-stars is very much deserved!

Bagels are nice and chewy. Just a bit dense and the prices a bit high which is to be expected in NYC and the heart of 23rd street. But it's nice to have choices of mini bagels and flat bagels. The toppings and cream cheese flavors are super fresh and good. Lots of tuna, whitefish, salmon, lox, and vege choices. Nice healthy juices and coffee made here. The best part the staff were very nice. That always makes me appreciate the place more than the food.

We had to get an NYC bagel while we visited, and Pick a Bagel didn't disappoint! I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and it was so delicious. We picked them up and ate them at the park - a perfect Sunday morning. I miss the bagels already!!

A staple in the neighborhood. It's open all day long and closes at midnight. I grab food here when I am not in the mood for a big appetite. The new space looks amazing and has more sidewalk space to wait for your friend to hang out with in front while preparing for what's next on the agenda. The variation in bagels and cream cheese will blow your mind. I always get the everything with regular cream cheese.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because a closer bagel shop to my home is much cheaper. This lox spread bagel was ~$7. It was delicious but that's too expensive. Generally I pay $5. This place is good but pricey!!!

Their white fish salad is probably the best I've had in the city, it is not overwhelmed by mayo, it is mainly just delicious fish.

Jalapeño cream cheese on a FLAT sesame bagel toasted lightly will change your life. I always walk into this location looking a hot mess but the girl who runs the register always seems to give me a compliment every time and literally told me I have nice nails with no nail polish on last time. Like how cute and sweet. So, customer service is on point. They move FAST! The line is quick so if you are in a rush in the morning commute, definitely come to this location. It's hard to find a morning breakfast quick casual that has fast service but is not RUDE TO YOU. And this place is quite the opposite :) Food is on point and I love their coffee. They serve it super hot which I prefer. Only thing I wish they had is French vanilla creamer. They only offer half and half but no biggie. Pick a YAYgel ;) love em.

Pickled veggies, fresh falafel, the works. The waffle was also delicious and it had an addicting maple-butterscotch sauce that kept us coming back (I wish I ordered one just for myself it was that good). Can't wait to come back, Banter Brunch days will definitely be a part of my routine.

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
