Came across this spot as I was walking around the area and was hungry. I had never heard of this spot before. Walked in and did not know what to expect from here. Their menu looked extensive but I just went with a sesame bagel not toasted with scallion cream cheese. It seemed like alot of people here got breakfast sandwiches, they looked good from the people I saw eating them. I was surprised at how the bagel was pretty doughy/ soft which I like. The scallion cream cheese had just the right amount of scallions in it. There is outdoor and indoor seating, way more tables outside though. There is an open kitchen so all the smells from the kitchen you can smell when you walk in. It's a bit much for me.

Tried my usual bagel here (everything bagel with scallion vegan spread and tomatoes) and it wasn't bad but it wasn't the perfect bagel. I wish the everything bagel had salt as one of the seasonings because it was missing some flavor and salt would've brought it together nicely. The bagel itself tasted a bit eggy to me and as someone who isn't a big fan of egg it was a little off putting.

Sofia's is a cute bagel place in west village. There's maybe 3-4 small tables inside with good lighting since it's got big windows. It does feel more like a takeout place since the space is limited. I ordered the Sofia's bagel and it came out really quick. The person at the register was also kind and helpful as well. The toasted bagel was crispy and warm, not too hard. I enjoyed the amount of lox and the cream cheese on the bagel. It was delicious and I'd come back again.

Sorry to say it's a 2. While I always want new businesses to succeed I have to be unbiased in my reviews. Place is nice overall with 2 2 person tables inside and 10 2 person tables outside to sit at. Service-despite having 4 guys preparing the food and 2 cashier stations things went kinda slow. Now onto the food. Coffee was good with self service opportunity to moo it and sugar it. For me that works well. The bagels, not so much. A little too chewy and a sparse amount of cream cheese. Also, a bagel with a shmear and a large coffee- just short of $12 bucks. No thank you. I'm gonna equate it to this analogy being the US Open is in action. A 100 or so players show up to play in the Open. Only 64 make the cut to qualify into the first round. Sofia's Bagels didn't make the cut. Not coming back anytime soon

$6.79 for a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagels are flat and not nearly as large or fluffy as a typical New York bagel. They also barely added any cream cheese. I would've been disappointed if I paid the standard $4 for this, but nearly $7 is ridiculous. And they don't list the price on the menu because they know they are price gouging. Will not be back.

Breakfast burrito was kind of middling for the price--the hot sauce was essential to give it a decent amount of flavor. (Season your eggs or add a tasty sauce or something!) Still, I enjoy coming here and having a relaxed bite at the outside seating.

Great bagel sandwiches (sausage egg & cheese was my favorite!) and their iced coffees were amazing! They serve them in plastic/metal sealed containers so they tend to stay cold longer. I tried 3 different coffees in 3 days and they were all great! Service can be a little slow at times because it gets CROWDED in the mornings, but I won't knock them for that. Also there is only a tiny area to sit but it's NYC so that is typical.

The ambience was really inviting as the decor was whimsical and colorful. For a rainy Sunday the…read moreplace was packed, but my husband & I were able to secure a table to dine in. For it being our first time, we were a little confused with the ordering process, and they were so busy that it took a while to be acknowledged. There were kiosks to place the order, but we couldn't find a place to request special requirements, so we had to figure out how we could order at the register amongst the slew of other customers. Our order for 2 bacon egg and cheeses were called with a biscoff iced latte and we were excited at first. But when we opened the sandwiches our bacon was just 3, maybe 4 fatty pieces when we specifically asked for crispy bacon. My husband settled for his, but I requested a reorder where they corrected the bacon issue, and even put more slices. Besides that snafu, I was excited for my latte, but was also underwhelmed by the taste. I assumed since it was a biscoff cookie latte (which I love) that it would be sweeter... The establishment was nice, and there were so many selections, so we would give it another try before writing it off completely.
