Grab some breakfast and lunch before work so I stopped by here. I was very early so I was the only customer. Service was very fast. You ordered on the kiosk and then she will call your name out 10 mins later. There is no option to toast the bagel Bagel shop also a Asian snack store. There are tons of Asian branded drinks and snacks on the shelf. Very interesting blend of products. This is not your regular mom n pop bagel shop for sure, not much interaction with the owner/cashier. Bagel sandwich is pretty good. Price is decent and they open very early. 6am read more

Super fast and great tasting bagels! Their bagels and cream cheese are super fresh and their menu allows you to customize based on your preferences. Personal favorite is the sun-dried tomato cream cheese! read more

Great environment, awesome quality, really quick! They have the best bagels in town. Really great sandwiches.

I love the Arizona breakfast sandwich here! The Asian lady is always very quick and they have some of the best bagels in town.

I honestly had no idea this Bagel Beanery existed, but used to visit the location in Grand Rapids pretty regularly. (Apparently they are not related though) The menu includes bagels, bagel sandwiches, and regular sandwiches, as well as coffee and non-coffee drinks. I recently grabbed lunch here and really liked the bagel sandwich I got, the California turkey: smoked turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, guacamole and ancho mayo all stacked on a toasted Asiago cheese bagel. The sandwich was made quickly and the ingredients were all fresh and tasty. The bagel was soft enough to bite and I loved the combination. There are a few shelves of Asian snacks for sale, which I thought was fun and interesting. It was pretty warm inside, so you might want to take your food to go if it's hot out, but there is some seating inside if you want to dine in. Since I don't live in town, I did have a little bit of trouble finding this location. It's in the same building as a record store and I think the main entrance is in the back off the parking lot. The parking lot was a little rough, so be careful of potholes! read more

I LOVE this place. Makes me miss Kalamazoo. I do wish they were open later in the day- but it's worth getting moving early for. Food always hits, coffees always great and the customer service is always friendly! Not to mention- great hangover food!!! read more

I hadn't been here in a while but was coming through downtown so I stopped. The breakfast bagel was disappointing - it's definitely not like it used to be. I doubt I'll be going back. read more

I came in only 4 minutes after they opened due to work but The food I ordered was perfect! It came out very quickly and I had a very nice conversation with the woman working behind the counter. The coziest, nicest place on Vine Street. Incredible bagels that remind me of New York. So many snacks that remind me of working at my korean restaurant job. read more

Ordered a iced vanilla bean, a chamomile tea and a honeydew bubble tea to go. Cute and cozy bagel and coffee shop here in the Vine. I asked for my chamomile tea chilled, it comes with whipped topping, had no idea. I had to scrape it off. There seems to be other stuff in my tea in my tea as well. It wasn't what I expected at all. It tastes okay, just wasn't what I was wanting or expecting at all. The Honeydew bubble tea was good as well as the iced vanilla bean and a chamomile tea with some unexpected caramel and whipped cream. I couldn't drink the chamomile tea, as I was only wanting an iced chamomile tea clean. read more

Not at all what I was expecting when I went inside - looks like an Asian market. Smells amazing inside and all of the bagel options and cream cheese choices looked so good! I got the havarti dill bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese. So so good! If I was local this would be my bagel go to spot! Quick service! read more

I may have just had the best bagel in Kalamazoo! I was really hungry sooo I forgot to take a picture but I got an Everything bagel with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese toasted and cut in half. I will 100% be going back! Now, after having lived in NYC for years - nothing and nowhere can really measure up to Essa Bagel but still I was delightfully surprised They also have a bunch of Japanese treats that remind me of my time in Japan! read more

Food is alright, not bad, not the best bagel I've ever had. Unfortunately, I think they take the Grand Rapids location prices to Kalamazoo. Over priced here in kzoo. The bummer about this place is the younger man working front cash. Extremely rude, always rushing our order out of us. Always seems like he has a cold, runny nose, coughing, sniffling. We always hope he doesn't make our food or drink because of this. Overall, mid. We only come here because it's close. read more

Bagel Beanery - Fantastic bagel sandwiches! Kind ladies that run the place. Get there before noonish or you'll have few flavors to choose from left! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Kalamazoo, Michigan

Let me tell you the truth: I LOVE BAGELS. I love finding great bagel shops, eating bagel chips, toasting a bagel in the morning for breakfast... They make me happy. Since we moved to Kalamazoo a few years ago, this has been our favorite bagel place. They aren't the cheapest (that would be Aldi, i think, but grocery store bagels are another creature), but they ARE the best. While the outside and toppings on a bagel are important, the true mark of bagel goodness, to me, is the inside. Bagel Beanery bagels are doughy and light inside - with a perfect mouth feel and delicious taste. The staff has always been friendly, while I'm there. Today, the woman helping me was kind, funny (she also loves bagels! Of course!), and informative. Did you know that fresh bagels are only an hour away? If a flavor is out, it will be restocked within an hour with freshly baked bagels. I love their salt bagels (my go-to), but the other flavors are also delicious. They have many cheese flavors, including a tomato pepper jack that tastes a little bit like spicy goldfish crackers. There are also sweet bagels, but that isn't my thing. You can get them to go (by the half dozen or dozen), or sliced, toasted, with toppings, etc. There is coffee (made or beans), as well as muffins and other snacks. I haven't gotten a sandwich here, so cannot attest to that. The decor has local landmarks in murals on the wall, and a cute black and white floor. Large windows let in the sun, and allow you to people watch, if that is your thing. On street parking, and a handicap spot right in the lot, so you don't have to deal with watching for traffic on Westnedge. read more

This has become my go to bagel place. The service is very courteous and quick. The bagels are DELICIOUS! No matter what time I come into their store, they always have fresh bagels and muffins. It's all I can do to limit myself to two times a week. My husband has tried several of their sandwiches and they too are very good. Now, it's time for a bagel run. read more

Amazing bagels and lattes. Delivery was packed carefully and I could smell the amazing bagels while carrying it inside. Perfect.

Not a bad option in Kalamazoo given choices are slim for bagels. It's not going to be the best bagel you'll ever have, but it certainly won't be the worst. Asiago cheese is always my go-to. read more

I always get cream cheese ON THE SIDE because everyone adds way too much. There was enough to put cream cheese on a second bagel. When I told the person who made it that I ordered the cream cheese on the side, she said how they always put it on the bagels which is funny because when I went in on Monday, they put the cream cheese on the side like I asked. It may not seem like a big deal, but this is disgusting to me. And I ordered two bagels, the 2nd one which I won't be eating for a couple of hours, so it's going to be sitting in that mess for awhile. I'm sure they don't care, but I won't be back. read more

We went to the restaurant next door(since apparently everything else in Kalamazoo is closed on Sunday mornings! Haha)- however, the wait there was almost 2 hours, which is unimaginable when you're starving after a night out. So we walked across the parking lot to Bagel Beanery and I'm so glad we did! They had tons of options and everything we tried was amazing! Plain bagels, bagel sandwiches, soup, macaroons & coffee. The setting was quaint- just a local little shop which we loved (although some people rated it lower for that!). Several table options and lots of stuff in the cooler if you'd prefer something bottled. The employees were so helpful in navigating the menu and making perfect recommendations- the wait time wasn't long and they had a constant line which just proves it's a good place. I'll definitely stop here again when I'm leaving town after breakfast. read more

We came upon this place by accident after there was too long of a wait at Crows Nest. It's just what we needed - coffee and a quick breakfast prior to catching the train! I ordered the Tuscan Scramble and my bf ordered the Arizona. Both were delicious! Both sandwiches, coffee, and a large pop was $17! Another thing I noticed was that all of the tables had been wiped and cleaned. I appreciate not having to wipe crumbs off to sit down, which is usually the case in delis like this. read more

Best cream cheese and lox sandwich in the area. Fast, friendly service. Get there before noon for best selection of bagels.

Someone introduced me to this place by buying an assortment for our group. I thought they were pretty good bagels, so I dedided to purchase a couple dozen for my office. Called the day before, talked with a nice lady, and set up my order for the following morning. Arrived not long after they opened and my order was ready and waiting for me. Got a latte to go, and was out the door. My staff loved the bagels! read more

Went here for a quick late breakfast as the popular brunch spot next door was too crowded. I didn't go in with the highest expectations but I left very satisfied. I had bagel sandwich and chorizo and peppers and it was delicious. It compared the the bagels I get in Chicago and I'll come back next time I'm in Kalamazoo. The coffee was also decent, I had an iced latte and they used pretty good coffee. read more

Start your morning with Hot Lips, a tasty cinnamony coffee. But if that's not your style, they have 9 other coffees you can choose from. Staff is friendly. Bagel sandwiches are solid. Cream cheese is super creamy. And the BAGEL CHIPS ARE SO LEGIT. Also they have raspberry cream cheese, which I've never seen before. read more

They make bagels and sell coffee! Nice and simple. Bagel tasted fresh, maybe a little chewy (undercooked?) on the top half but I don't mind, maybe it's supposed to be like that. I'm the kind of guy who gets his pizza "light baked." read more

Haven't been here much but me and my kiddo like it a lot and they are always friendly. We got hooked on the bagel crisps (seriously had multiple bags in our car/house all summer). The lady behind the counter even put together a snack bag of sweet bagel crisps for us to try so she had my 10 year olds heart for sure. I've gotten their sandwiches since too and like them. Well it's not Klines. I still feel the sting of that loss. I still wake up sweating sometimes thinking of their pasta salad. However for a bagel chain this one is pretty good. Large menu. This has been the worst experience I have had thus far. I eat pretty much about everything, but I ordered the salmon rice bowl and it honestly was unedible.... it tasted so old and stale and came in a to go tupperwhere pre made which made me also feel after tasting it that it had been sitting in the back fridge for a couple of days. My husband said his bagel was ok, so that's good. But the bubble tea and salmon bowl was NOT good at all..... do not recommend to anyone! read more
