Originally Nate and I stopped in to try to get a coffee and maybe work/read for a bit, but every seat was taken when we were there. We still got some drinks to go, and I also bought a locally made birthday card that I saw on display. The interior of this coffee shop is pretty bland and not that cozy, it's just a little sterile for me and doesn't seem like a spot I'd want to hang out in for long. I like that they have a food menu (bagels, pastries, etc.) but we didn't get any food on this visit. I went with my regular, an oat milk latte, because I didn't see a cappuccino option listed on the menu. Nice little spot to grab a drink near downtown but kind of limited seating. read more

My guilty pleasure is the smash burger. I always order it with just one patty, two is too much for me. The pistachio special latte they had at one point in time was amazing. Hardly any parking nearby and kitchen closes at 4 every day. Often times theres not anywhere to sit while dining in. Definitely a great take out spot. Gorgeous little spot downtown though. read more

It's been awhile since I stayed for a long visit with my mom, so I was able to explore more new (to me) businesses during the holidays. My husband and I would just grab Starbucks each morning and on one occasion, the owner's brother told us we should check out better local options and pointed us in this direction. First, I absolutely loved the location and interior. I would have stuck around to hang out, but we were always busy running errands in our limited time. So we ordered to go drip coffee and oat milk latte the few times we were able to swing by. We also tried two of their breakfast sandwiches and they were also so so good. But I have to admit that I really really like their coffee and lattes. There's a flavor/taste that I can't quite pinpoint, but it's unique. Parking was easy meter on the street and when the weather improves, I'd like to come back to visit and walk around and hang a bit more. Looking forward to trying them again on my next trip back. read more

Didn't even order a coffee because I felt so unwelcomed and uncomfortable interacting with the barista. Came in not sure if I wanted a cold brew or a latte, so I asked the barista about their cold brew options. Keep in mind this was not at all a busy time and we were the only ones ordering. The barista seemed annoyed about my question, almost snooty that I asked about the difference between a nitro cold brew and regular cold brew. Sorry, but isn't it your job to help customers learn more about what the cafe has to offer? I was super polite and straightforward as well when asking. Come to find out they don't offer that many flavorings either, I think just plain syrup or vanilla. Barista also seemed annoyed when I asked about their flavorings -- almost as if they were a coffee snob judging somebody who enjoys a sweet coffee/something other than a cappuccino or whatever fancy minimal coffee drinks there are. I've been to many coffee shops in my life time, I love coffee, and this was not an enjoyable experience. Other shops the baristas would at least make recommendations if the customer was unsure. Again, the barista just seemed annoyed at my presence and disinterested. read more

This place is so cute! The vibes inside are just so welcoming. Great outlet options and lots of people can be seen doing busy work. Very clean and unique place. They have sugar free sodas for kids as options (although I was tempted to get myself one haha). The little bar gives such NY library feels and I'm in love with it. Baristas are so warm and welcoming. For a cardamom latte, you'll pay $6. The syrups are all home made and let me tell you -- I came back for 3 days straight. Very worth it! Sundays are free parking so plan around that day and you won't be paying for parking downtown. read more

Absolutely delicious! We came a little later in the day on a Saturday so they were out of bagels but that was okay because they were kind enough to direct my attention to a breakfast sandwich that came on regular bread that was absolutely amazing! Amazing place in downtown Kalamazoo! I read good things about this coffee shop and decided to try it out. I was not aware that the kitchen didn't open until 8 when I arrived at 7:30, but I enjoyed a delicious iced chai tea latte while I waited. However, the breakfast sandwich was definitely worth waiting for! The homemade bagel was fabulous, and the ingredients were extremely fresh. Would definitely return! read more

Everyone else in my group liked what they got but I had the worst dirty chai latte of my life. It did not taste like tea at all. The best way to describe the taste is boiled cardamom water with the bitterness of coffee. Couldn't taste any other flavor. I had my friends try it to make sure it wasn't just me and everybody else agreed. I've only heard good things about this place so I'm assuming the other things are good, just do NOT get a chai latte!!! read more

Coffee- about $6 for an oat latte. Guess thats the norm these days As another person said, it's cold inside and the staff is blah- not friendly and not very inviting. The case where they have their baked goods is placed in a very weird area that is hard to find. Not a big deal but makes the experience a little less streamlined. Excellent Cafe, coffee, and food. The staff here goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. Very high level of customer service. They need to work to keep the music levels lower, occasionally its a little loud. I highly recommend Factory Coffee. They have excellent oat milk lattes, ask for it in the largest cup though. Probably some of the worst coffee I've had outside of Europe. It's always unfortunate when ppl think "good" or "strong" coffee requires a grimace-inducing, ultra-bitter flavor profile. Too often ppl use that as a benchmark for good beans when it's not. Good coffee is actually supposed to be smooth, rich without foul off-notes, and drinkable. This coffee is not. Brought my family here while they were visiting from Chicago and the smell was instantly an indication of a bad tasting experience. They persevered past the smell and ordered coffees. I said nothing bc I wanted them to try without my influence. One sip was all it took to make their face contort with unpleasantness. We left shortly after. It's a shame bc I live in the building and I thought this would be a great convenience but it's simply undrinkable. I gave 2 stars however bc the workers are friendly and they have good breakfast sandwiches. read more
