An acquaintance had visited me & brought along 3 pieces of dessert from this cafe ---a lemon bar--zucchini cake---there was a pie among the collection that I had split into 2 to share before having a chance to photograph it --it was a half moon shaped apple pie--- nonetheless my favorite one was the zucchini cake--service doesn't apply ---if you count dim lights & glare of a tv as ambience ---then I suppose it was ambient --‍

Amazing gluten free donut and freshly roasted espresso. I didn't take advantage of Fourth Coast when I lived in Kalamazoo but am so happy I made a stop when I was in town. Prices are on par with other areas but much fresher. Bit of a hipster vibe.

Great place! We were waiting for our time to be available at the Crow's Nest and was just hanging out here. Got a Half-mast coffee and a chocolate chip brownie and a lemon bar for the kids. Everything was good! Lemon bar was the highlight for me!

This place is so cute! I've been here twice now, my sister took me this past February and now I'm back in November. I got a cinnamon, vanilla, honey latte with oak milk so yummy!!!! Perfect temperature and cream espresso. I also bought a chocolate chip muffin it's very yummy a little crispy on top but nice and soft in the middle. Highly recommend coming here if your ever in Michigan!

From the moment the door opens the robust scent of coffee fills your nose. What a way to start the morning! The staff was friendly and service was quick! Tons of options for all dietary needs. The bakery counter hosts a number of treats for all the enjoy! I grabbed a caramel latte. Great espresso! I'd definitely recommend and come back.

After visiting crow's nest, i webt downstairs to drink something while reading a book I had a toothache so i requested something cold ( Hazelnut milk chocolate) it was okay. I also found on the chair table som other good baked stuff. I finally decided to take honey almond granola for home. I couldn't stay long because ther was noise and working in the background area. I think it is more a place to hang out with friends than to read a book.

Cozy coffee shop. Seat are not comfortable for long term seating. Coffee was great and favored well. Music was a little too loud.

I've heard great things about Sarkozy Bakery for years, but never had a chance to stop in since…read morethey close at 5 pm or earlier. We happened to be in town during lunch time so Nate and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their lunch menu includes some sandwiches, a couple salads, pizza, soup, and quiche. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, and Nate got an 8" pizza. The food came out pretty quickly, and I liked the sandwich. It had plenty of mayo and thickly sliced ham and cheese. It came with a little cup of pickled veggies, which I enjoyed. I had a bite of the pizza, which was very tasty! The prices were great - I think my sandwich was $7.50. We also got some pastries for dessert - I chose the cherry danish, and Nate got the pistachio croissant. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. The vibe of this bakery is more old-school and homey than some of the more "trendy" bakeries that I'm used to - not a bad thing, just a little different. They sell loaves of bread, cookies, and pastries. I loved their merch, too - cute pins, hats, tote bags, etc. They have brunch every Sunday and they were swapping out some art while we were there. It's a cute spot and I'm glad I finally got to check it out.

The matcha was just sweet enough, but not overpowering, and the lavender syrup tasted as it should - no soapy vibes! I loved that they had GF/vegan treats so I could get a surprise for some friends with allergies who usually can't find yummy options at coffee shops. If I had to say ANYTHING negative about this cute spot, it would be that I wish it was bigger! If I lived locally I'd be in here all the time.

The food menu is what you would expect from a standard coffee shop with a little more consideration for allergen prone or meat avoiding type. The flavors are always on point. The Vegan Tres Leches is always a knee slapper whenever you want to divert away from the basic toast with avocado. However if you do go with it, the pickled onions on their Toast with Avocado AND micro greens is also just right. *chefs kiss* You can sit on any of their cute chairs while talking about art deco soaking in their welcoming rustic ambiance. The baby pink and matcha green wall paint is a nice choice. In the back you can find a nice little selfie back drop if you and the person you want to get in bed with are up for taking a selfie together. The service is great. Always a welcoming energy. The owners take their time to say hello and ask about their food/drink. This is a good sign of confidence in their product. They can recognize repeat customers and know what drink you will order, also another good sign. Price is what you would expect. This place is located down town Kalamazoo. In my opinion they have the best matcha in town, and just about everyone that I've talked to mutually agreed. With the service, the taste and as a complete package i would say this is justified for little old Kalamazoo.

Best cake ever. Great customer service. 2nd time I have…read moreordered a cake from them, and both times everyone wants to know where I got it. I'll never go anywhere else.

A complete nightmare! BEWARE!!…read more The owner Amy is full of herself and has absolutely no professional etiquette whatsoever. Starting with her inability to answer straight forward questions and ending with her backing out of contract and cancelling our order 50 days before my wedding after I already paid the down payment! She cancelled the contract and refunded the down payment I made to hold the date - leaving us to find another cake vendor on short notice! Her excuse? She has worked "for Bert's for 42 years and made over 10,000 cakes and feels like no matter what she does, she won't make me happy." Photo attached. All I did was ask about the pricing for the samples because no other cake vendor had required payment for samples so I didn't know how much they cost. I also asked her which location we should visit to try the samples. Lastly, I told her that I couldn't believe that she was charging us the same amount to deliver the cake across the street as she would charge us if she were driving across town. I didn't say I wouldn't pay for delivery... I just told her I was surprised that she would do that. The other cake vendor we were considering wasn't charging us a delivery fee at all and they are located 30 miles away from our church! I was put off by how unprofessional she was from the beginning when I first reached out last fall. The only reason I decided to finally give Amy a chance is because she was cheaper and right across the street from our church. Now I understand, you get what you pay for...... because Amy is a MESS. Absolutely awful and I feel sorry for anyone who has had to deal with her. I saw in other reviews that she is described as rude, cheap, disorganized, snobby, and that she talks down to customers. I can confirm that she is ALL of these things and worse. The cake isn't even that good and at this point I'd rather buy one from Sam's Club than have to work with Amy and her staff. She doesn't send you a contract until you pay her a down payment, which is strange. Typically you create a contract/agreement, have both parties sign it, and then you ask for the deposit. The contract looked incredibly sketchy - Words were misspelled, font was all over the place, punctuation and grammar were hideous. Photo attached. Just so you know, AMY - Nobody cares HOW MANY YEARS you've been making cakes, HOW MANY CAKES you've made in your lifetime or HOW GREAT YOU THINK THEY TASTE if you continue to be a an inconsiderate, egotistical, uneducated, defensive, stubborn old woman who can't figure out how to treat people and keep your word. That's just bad business... I don't care who you are. I'll "wish you the best" as well...
