Bagel 13 is a small chain of bagel shops located in Brevard County, Florida. Being from the northeast, I have noticed that Brevard County has several bagel shops in the area, as well as hot dog places. Two things that I missed from the Northeast that I don't see on any normal basis down here in sunny Florida, but in Brevard county, both of these things have several options. Anyway, Bagel 13 is a good place to grab a bagel. Are the bagels the best I ever had? No. Definitely not. However, they are good especially considering that I am down here in Florida where I don't see bagels on a regular basis. Sometimes you have to look at the geography when considering giving it a grade. My go to at any bagel shop isn't everything bagel with cream cheese. Here, it is good. I truly had no complaints and as an overall rating I will give it five stars because I am taking the geography into account. There are not a lot of places to grab Bagels here in Florida and this is a decent place to grab a bagel to satisfy your bagel craving. read more

Lots of bagel flavor options including egg everything! That's my favorite!! We had a few bagels and cream cheese. I went in this morning to buy a dozen bagels. They offer a "Lucky 13" option. When I checked the place out, on Yelp, the price said $10.29. When I got to the location the menu on the wall said $14.99 for 13 bagels. When the server rang up my order, she said that will be $20.00. I said to her that the board says $14.99, her response was, "I only work weekends, the owner must have raised prices, I'll have to mention it to him when he comes in." Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. The bagel selection was very good and the service was first rate. Everyone who came in seemed to be a regular that the staff knew by name. Horrible experience and they won't even pick up the phone for us to complain about our very bad experience.. burnt bagels for starters however from the get go they gave our food to another customer who never verified it was his .. we also waited over 30 minutes for it all to be recooked, she just handed it to him assuming that it was definitely his order which struck me as odd and very unprofessional conduct.. we also paid for extra bacon which was never added to our order and the bagels were burnt on the bottom ..to add insult to injury they forgot to put our sons plain bagel in the to-go bag ... we will never frequent there again because every time we go there its one thing after another with constant mishaps .. .. Store was closed at 2:30PM even though Google Maps had the hours listed as 3PM. They did correct that to 2PM a few days later. The Bagels are Decent-not spectacular. Not awful like Einstein or Panera. What's missing is Lox Cream Cheese... I dont want to spend a fortune on actual Lox. Lox flavored cream cheese would also be expected at a Bagel Place. This is one of my favorite local chains. Whenever I come out to the Cape Canaveral area, I make it a habit to stop here. Even if it's for half a dozen bagels for the week. What I love most here are the bagels. They are baked like water bagels. Closest thing to a north east bagel I can find in Florida! There coffee is really good as well. Nice well rounded flavor. Their dark and lighter roast. I'm not usually a dark roast fan, but I loved theirs. Can't beat their breakfast sandwiches. So filling and just good in the simplest way. They also host some great sea food options, which is harder to find in my experience. Being pescatarian, I rather appreciate it. Since I discovered this place, I've probably been a quarter of a dozen times and never received a bad thing. read more

Food was good. Ordered a few different bagels and smash items. All tasted great. Only complaint is regarding the fulfillment of my order. They had missed my smoothie, coffee, fountain drink, and two smash items. I wouldn't of missed the drinks but thank goodness I checked my bag to make sure everything's else was there. I want to take a moment to thank Kristen at the Rockledge, FL Bagel 13!!! Yesterday, I was desperate to find a working internet connection to process payroll (my own was acting up in our RV), so I did what most would - I hunted down a Starbucks. But they were closed to inside seating. I searched from my car and found Bagel 13 right around the corner. Thank God, I thought. And boy, did I hit the jackpot of customer service!! Kristen not only saw me in the parking lot and invited me in (their sign indicated they weren't open yet), but then assured me I was welcome to stay as long as I needed. Hours later (it's a messy payroll!!), Kristen came up and handed me a cup of coffee and said, "you've been at it for hours; I figured you might need a boost." Really?!!? When was the last time an employee of a business came up to you and showed that type of empathy and compassion!! We stayed together until they closed at 2:30 pm. She never, not one time, made me feel unwelcome or a burden or that I was inconveniencing her. And I watched her treat every single customer the same friendly way. I got payroll done and I can tell you that the 70+ people who received their pay today are equally grateful to Kristen's above and beyond, lost art of superior service attitude. And BTW - both the bagels and coffee are awesome!! If you are Kristen's boss, please know (and treat her accordingly) that you have a gem here. read more

Last Sunday, 9/24/23, I ordered online and went to get my order just to find the store was closed. When I called the next day they told me no one showed up for work and that's why it was closed. I asked if I could be refunded since I never received my food and the girl on the phone rudely told me they had already refunded everyone and that it isn't her fault. I asked when I would see the money because it was $27 and some change and she said she didn't know but maybe 2-3 days. It has now been a week and I still have not been refunded. I tried to call on Friday morning (9/29/23) around 6:40 am to ask and the manager asked if he could call me back in 10-15 minutes so he could sign into the system, but never called back. About an hour later at 7:40 am I tried to call again just for my call to be ignored. I tried to call again today (Sunday, 10/1/23) at 12 pm and the call was not answered yet again. All I am looking for is a refund for a meal I never received because the employees decided to just not open the shop when it says it is supposed to be open. Since my call was not picked up today I am assuming that "no one showed up" again this Sunday as well. I have not been contacted by any manager despite filling out a contact form TWICE on their website. read more

You HAVE to greet/acknowledge customers when they walk in. "Hi" or "We'll be right with you." It is 100% okay to get busy. It is 100% okay if people have to wait to have their order taken. I get it. But as awkward as it is for you, when you know you're busy... it is just as awkward for your customers when you're avoiding making eye contact because you know you can't serve them right away. Stopped by for the first time today. Got 6 bagels "dream cheese" and a smoothie to go. $14 and change total. Bagel looked under baked. Wife likes plain bagels not toasted. She said it wasn't good. I went home and sliced and toasted my onion bagel. It isn't chewy like every other bagel I've ever eaten. The smoothie was made by blending a packet of already blended fruit and who knows what else and ice for almost $5. Was hoping I'd find a good bagel place. I've given this place so many chances but I'm done after today. Every time I've been here, all I've gotten is a bagel with cream cheese - seems simple enough. The first time I came, I ordered at the register and it took at least 5 minutes...for just a toasted bagel and cream cheese? I wasn't super happy with the service but I liked the bagel so I decided to keep trying. To skip the wait, I had started to order online so I can just go in and pick it up and not have to wait. The bagels have been fine but service is hit or miss - once I walked in and said I was there for a pick up order, and she handed it to me and walked away, no greeting no acknowledgement that I was taking the order, nothing. Then today, I ordered online like I always do. I got two bagels, one cinnamon crunch and one chocolate chip. A few minutes after placing my order, they called me and said they didn't have chocolate chip and asked if I wanted a different one (I was bummed, and I think there should be a way for them to remove bagels they don't actually have from online ordering, but I acknowledge that they may not have that feature available to them) so I just got a second cinnamon crunch. I got there, picked up my order, the lady was pleasant. Then I get home TO THIS. Are you freaking kidding me??? They have the option "well toasted" on their menu, which is what I usually get because it seems to be the equivalent to regularly toasted, but this is straight up BURNT. And I opened the first one to find the burnt top and was so upset, only to open the second and find the burnt bottom. So now I have one burnt, inedible bagel and one barely toasted bagel. I cannot even believe that they could let a bagel like this walk out the door without even asking "hey, is this TOO 'well toasted'? " to which I would've said YES THATS BURNT.
