My friends and I are of color, and every time we go to this location, the greeter/waitresses make us pay before they bring us our food. We had no problem with this at all, until we noticed that other customers who weren't of color, did NOT have to pay until after they had finished their meal. There is a lot of racial profiling here, but other than that we really do love the food. read more

The customer service here was exceptionally great! The staff were friendly, patient with my indecisive loved ones, and we're super attentive to our table. In fact, since the restaurant did not have a high chair for my son to sit in, and the waitress was sweet enough to walk over to the business next door and borrow a high chair just for him. The food, however, was horrible. It was a waste of money, and a sad disappointment to my seafood craving that evening. The shrimp and clams were cooked well, but the flavor just wasn't there at all. The crab was clearly old since the meat was sticking to the shells, and it was overcooked. The roasted garlic in the sauce tasted like it was cooked days prior to being served. The sauce itself was bland and oily. I mean there was a SERIOUS lack of flavor ...a lack of sauce, period. I didn't try the links, but my sister said that was the only thing she enjoyed. Their plain fries were plain fries, but the crinkle-cut sweet potato fries were good. The calamari rings were a bit too rubbery. Moreover, I was insulted by that poor, sad, single soft shell crab that they brought me laying on top of a heaping amount of fries. Y'all know y'all are wrong for that hahaha! You should at least serve folks 2 crabs for that price. I've never paid that much for one measly soft shell crab...it's always at least two. If you're going to do that, write it in the menu so that the customer isn't surprised when the order arrives. The corn was way over cooked, mushy, and wasn't sweet at all. Keeping the trend going, the garlic noddles were also overcooked and mushy. On a lighter note, we delightfully ended our meal with complimentary ice cream. The ice cream was the best tasting item of the night. Again, the service was excellent. If they can revamp their menu, they may be alright. As of now, I can't see this restaurant staying in business much longer, though. We came here because my fiance's dad wanted some seafood so I searched for some good seafood in the east bay and found this place. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as a place that we usually go to in Sacramento, but it was actually pretty good. The waitor was attentive just enough and refilled our water at exactly the right moments. The food was really flavorful and the seafood tasted really fresh. We ordered the C3 combo of 1lb headless shrimp and 1lbs Dungeness crab with a mix between the cajun and garlic butter sauces mild. Inside that combo bag was also potatoes, two corn, and sliced sausages. We also got a la carte 1lb mussels and 1lb headless shrimp in the malay medium spicy sauce. I was surprised to see that the malay bag came with veggies like squash, celery, and onion. If you order more than $10 worth of food, they give you free ice cream! It was a nice treat after the meal. I forgot to mention that we also got fried calamari with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries weren't anything special, but the fried calamari was cooked perfectly and came with a tasty spicy mayo that we all really liked. read more

The garlic fries I had with my fried shrimp were not fit for human consumption. They were completely soaked and saturated in grease. Upon arrival, it was a pretty small restaurant. I asked for a tour. The Manager refused to let me see the kitchen which is the vital artery of a restaurant. I don't know how the reviews on this place is so high. My husband and I ordered the combo with a crab and 1 lb of shrimp. Both were overcooked. We assumed the crab was old and was previously cooked since the shell was already separated from the body and the body was also cut in half. We could tell this crab has already been cooked because the innards was already congealed when we took it out of the piping hot bag. The garlic noodles were meh... they had flavor but were over cooked in its own juices which is weird since all the places I have been to serves them dry. My husband started with their strawberry mojito, which tasted watered down to me--someone who can only handle 1.5 drinks per night. We then ordered their Combo 4 (lobster, clams, shrimp, crawfish) with the atomic sauce in mild. The sauce was all heat no flavor. And the shrimp tasted rubbery, like it was frozen and not fresh.
