The dumplings are not soup filled like Din Tai Fung but they were very tasty. I did not care for their Taiwanese beef noodle soup because I do not care for the type of noodles and found the beef to be tough and too gristle. Maybe I had a bad batch of beef because my friend went separate from me and he said the beef was good and tender. I like the Din Tai Fung version of Taiwanese beef noodle soup much better. What I did love is that the prices are so much more reasonable and no tip. It's not a full service restaurant. There are nice clean tables. You order at the counter, pick up, and take your tray to drop off area when done. There are lots of sauces you can try. You service yourself which I prefer given the reasonable prices. I would go back to try some of their other items like pork chop and won ton next time. read more

Ok, i just tried this for lunch today. Let me just say it's reasonable for the prices. Yes, flavors are light for say the signature potstickers, but they are fried on one side and steamed through and i found them quite delicious. It didn't come with sauce, i must have missed it if there was a sauce counter but i made my own sauce with rice vinegar, soy sauce, layu (chili oil) and a sprinkling of asian chili powder to give it a little more kick. Was super good with sauce. I got a side of these signature potstickers for 5 dollars for 6. I also got the #8 combo which is porkchop and a lo mein like fried noodle (not sure if this is the signature noodle). which came in a pretty good size round container. It's just lightly seasoned with i think some chinese dark soy sauce and had a very slight sweet taste and very minimally dressed with green onion and some sprouts (not spicy although i'd have prefered it if it had peppers). I really like this flavor in my fried noodles and this was good. I think if there was more things added to it, it would be great, but for a lunch combo, i really liked it. The pork chop is tasty, has that chinese 5 spice like flavor and although fried, was still soft and good. I thought it had some rice on the bottom like din tai fung, but no it was just the pork chop. I guess that would be too much carb. It came with white raddish with that sweet flavor like in japanese pickles and new years where it's cut fine with carrots. Like the stuff in banh mi sandwiches, raddish and carrot mixture. The cucumbers also were very lightly pickled and delicious as well. The pork chop combo also came with a black lemon tea which was on the smaller size, but tasted good like a lemon tea should, and the combo was about 15 dollars. Today seems like it's the grand opening if you buy 2 bags of frozen potstickers, they have 3 flavors, you get an insulated carry bag and a coupon for spicy potstickers, which i will try next time. Anyways, not bad at all for a like lighter din tai fung like menu for a quick lunch. And if you dont know where this is located, it's just past panda express on the right side of artesia blvd. going west, if you reach in n out burger, make a quick right, and turn right past the baskin robbins and you're there Not a whole lot of parking but worst case you can park by the in n out. They have a lot of other things, wonton soup, hot sour soup ione of my favs), chili pepper fried chicken, and besides the signature potsticker, they have a kimchi potsticker and corn and chicken potsticker which sounded unique. Overall, a great place to pick up sides if you are tired and dont want to make dinner lol. And lastly, super interesting that they don't make any rice dishes at all. some fried rice would be great with these foods. read more

I've been to the City of Industry location and their service is quick & the food is good. Saw this location on the way home and decided to stop by. It wasn't busy and there was only 2 other people waiting for their food ahead of my family. I received my order within a few minutes but waited over 25 minutes for my sisters dumplings and iced tea. My sister inquired about her food and they offered to give a refund. The food was bland, my order was wrong (combo #4, and the service was beyond slow. Everyone behind the counter looked confused and operations didn't seem organized. Pass on this restaurant. read more

I really wanted to like Bafang and have been waiting to try since the had the coming soon sign. Well, I wasn't really satisfied. The noodles are a great texture, chewy and just the right thickness. The sauce on the old fashioned noodles was really thick and gelatinous, almost like something from a supermarket jar sauce. The beef noodle soup broth was lacking a richness. Now, the potstickers were undercooked and not browned. The taste of the raw dough made it very unpleasant. I think the potstickers would have tasted really good had they been cooked properly. The black vinegar was more like a watered down soy sauce with some sweetness. The pork chop reminded me of a French toast coating, definitely will not order the pork chops again. The lemon iced tea was really bitter, I couldn't drink it. I might try this again later but for now it will not be joining my regular line up of restaurants. read more

You're greeted with a smile and a welcome. Very good service. We ordered the old fashioned noodles and it was delicious. Had a little green onion,bean sprouts and maybe parsley? The noodles are thick and good chew to it. Served super hot! I loved the pork chop. It looks like it would be crunchy but it's not and I'm good with that. The flavor was a little different for me but very tasty I liked that the meat wasn't dry at all. The skins on the dim sum had a good texture. We only tried the kimchee pork. Very good. Barely any spice so don't be scared. I didn't need any sauce the flavor was good on its own. Although I did make me a cup of garlic sauce and sesame oil very good. I tasted the black vinegar and personally I didn't care for it. My suggestion is to have more than just one trash can or get a larger one so the trash isn't overflowing. But it didn't take away from the cleanliness of the business I definitely will be returning for the reasonably priced , delicious, filling food. read more

Tried most of the items on the menu. Our favorite by far was the beef noodle soup. Chewy noodles (even at the end!) And very good soup. The beef was tender and tasty as well. Small menu includes several types of dumplings which you can get steamed or as potstickers. I got the house potstickers, I think they are pork and cabbage, and they were pretty good. Two bites each. Not super flavorful. I also got the sesame noodles, which were disappointing. Again, the flavor just wasn't pronounced enough. Prices are fair. Portions are large. I will probably return and I'll doctor up the noodle sauce when i get home. read more

Delicious boiled dumplings. I loved the garlic soy sauce. Beef noodle soup was a perfection: chewy noodles, tender beef and flavorful dikon in the soup. Skip the Hot and sour soup and side dishes. A self service restaurant. No trash can available. All foods taste sweet. Hot & Sour Soup is sweet, not sour or savory enough. Beef noodle soup is on the sweet side, not the traditional or Taiwanese favor. Potsticker is mostly cabbage with minimum meat, so greasy that the bottom of the paper container has a layer of oil. It is more of an Americanized Chinese fast food. This is only my personal opinion. read more

The potstickers are delicious and the prices can't be beat. Above all though was the service - our daughter lost her balloon and it floated to the top of the ceiling. Tears ensued. Customers and employees alike worked incredibly hard to get the balloon back for her. Two employees took it upon themselves to retrieve a stepladder and a broomstick with tape to grab the string. Crisis averted. An employee even came out to us after with a candy to weigh down the balloon. We couldn't have been more touched by their kindness. We are definitely coming back. read more
