The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! I definitely got what I paid for. And like many others - I am a satisfied/happy customer. Definitely my new go-to mechanic!

So they drilled out one stud and replaced it with a hardware store bolt and no nut leaving the other stud cut off. When I went to confront the owner his wife started telling telling me to get out and the owner started also saying I was trespassing. I called 911 when the police came they went to talk with the owner then after statements were done I received a criminal Trespassing charge and vandalation charge the owner claims i kicked in the office door!! Found out after that A1 Mufflers sold out and the new name is "Stable" off E Veterans Memorial. I attached photos of the shady work and the office door they claim I kicked in causing damage

I showed them where the leak was (weep hole) they proceeded to tell me my intake manifold gaskets needed replacing and the water pump was fine. $1000.00 and a week later I got it back. I drove it to Salado, and when I got out of the car the exact same leak was there. I'm a mechanic , but I elected to have it fixed because I was traveling and didn't have my tools. They didn't even check their work. When I took it back to them, they said they would fix it no charge. When I picked it up they charged me for the pump... Now all these years later I get a text message telling me i can get 10% off on my next service. I thought I had put this behind me years ago, only bringing up the story to illustrate how even mechanics can get taken for a ride given the right circumstances. Now I'm compelled to leave a review . When I replied to the text : Why in the world would I ever come back to a shop that fucked me over so bad that it's the worst experience I've ever had in my life? I went to this place they kept my truck for a week and charged me $127.00 for nothing. That did absolutely nothing. I don't even believe they did a test drive to diagnose the problem. My check engine was on when I got there and had been on for 2 years for the catalytic converter but the truck run fine and that was not why I was there. I believe they saw the light was on and did a scan which told them the catalytic converter should be replaced which I already knew. Bottomline, they told me something I already knew and never addressed the problem I was there for. They charged me the previous $127.00 I mentioned for 2 minutes work. On top of that I had to rent a vehicle on top that which cost me an additional $300.00 plus. I'm 65 and I been to many, many mechanics in my life and this ix by far the worst i've ever seen. The old guy at the front counter has the worst attitude I've ever seen. He's just plain rude and has a extremely nasty disposition. Steer clear of this place and find a real professional garage to service your vehicle, this place is not that.

I spoke with the owner, David, for at least 30 to 45 minutes, he attempted to assist me, experimented with disconnecting my phone and then re-connecting, but to no avail. He concluded that my car stereo was too old and would not connect with the newer iPhone. He seemed knowledgeable, tried his best to be helpful, but ultimately concluded that, due to the age of my car stereo, it would not pair with the new iPhone. We talked options, including a new radio, but he advised against this because of all the modifications which would need to be made in my car and because of the expense. We were able to establish a connection, but only when the phone is plugged in. I appreciated his honesty and integrity, his knowledge, and the fact that he didn't try to "oversell" me. David even refused to take payment for the time that he spent with me. I appreciate him and HP Audio for what he did and give it the highest 5 star rating that any business could have. Dave S.
