This was our second time giving this restaurant a chance. My husband and I don't remember why we didn't like it the first time, but it was enough reason to not go back. This time, we came on a Sunday morning and we were seated within 5 minutes (party of 4). Good sign! We ordered our food with the server right away. After waiting for 45 minutes and no one having checked on us, I finally asked the waitress to check on our food. She came back and said at least another 10 minutes. 15 minutes goes by and we had to ask for it to be packed to go. We were there for over an hour and no food. I completely understand when places become short staffed, but at least let the customers know so they can choose whether or not to sit around hungry for an hour. Yes, you might have people leave but it's better than losing more customers over the repetitive reviews about the same issue. The thick cuts of bacon on our food was really good. I ordered a Turkey supreme and substituted my torta roll for sliced sour dough. Ok, I told you I would not give up on this place cuz I love it so much. yesterday we went there and I ordered the frittata I want to try something different every time I come in. Needless to say it was fabulous I think it's going to be my new favorite breakfast here! The owner Tien is rude and wouldn't understand my friend ordered a salad and was served it with chicken. She's vegetarian and he accused her of ordering wrong and being wrong. She ordered a regular salad and didn't order it with meat. I've dealt with him before and he doesn't like confrontation. I'd never recommend going to this place. read more

We were looking for a non-chain breakfast spot and found Bacon thanks to some other reviews. They had a very cute outdoor set up that reminded me of a little cafe. The inside had a very different vibe, with rich cherrywood tables and decor. The staff was incredibly nice, and there were plenty of options for breakfast. I chose the California frittata. It was delicious, although the avocado was cooked inside and I am not a fan of cooked avocado. The service was speedy, and everyone was masked (including all kitchen staff) with sanitizer available and parties seated far apart. I would gladly return on my next trip to Novato. read more

One of my favorite things about Bacon is they have a smart menu- what I mean, is it's diverse enough to satisfy anyone who has dietary restrictions. I'm gaga over their heathy frittata - it has egg whites, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and herbs. So good I crave it all the time. Loved this order so much that I was so close to ordering the honeybee bacon as a side all on its own! Homemade jams are on the table to enjoy for free, which is perfect if your order comes with sides of bread. Classic flavors too -- strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, apricot, and marmalade. Came in on Memorial Day. There was a party of 3 ahead of us. Around 1230. They were advised of a 15-20 min wait for outside seating but they decided to leave. We were next and within 5 mins we were seated indoors. The place was super busy but that's a sign that the food is awesome but it's a trade. Good food for a little wait isn't bad. The food took long to get to us but Again it's understandable with the full capacity they were operating on. Good thing I had a bloody Mary and mimosas and beers to keep going as we wait. I'm all for mom and pops places. I always think local. Summary is we waited 40 mins for the food to be on the table but the waitress were super nice. & common it's as busy as it gets anywhere on Memorial Day so . I've been coming here for awhile now. The service is now great and the food it's outstanding. I especially recommend the frittatas and the BLT's. I have been able to decide which frittata is my favorite yet! Hmm, the sausage, artichoke & feta? You can't seem that go wrong with any combo. The frittatas come with home fried potatoes and delicious ciabatta toast. Bacon has just started serving dinner in October, sounds like they are here to stay.
