Racks is a great place to go for a get together with some old friends. I enjoy going there for a few drinks and some pretty good food. Drink choices are plentiful and same with the food. My favorite menu item is the Spicy BBQ boneless wings with some fries. Sports bar environment so lots of high top tables, mounted TV's with games on and even some pool tables. The only issue here is sometimes the wait and service being slow/inattentive. Location is great and parking is good unless you go during very busy times. read more

Aside from a long wait to get any one to even ask if I needed help, it was a pretty lack luster night at this place. I was hungry for some BBQ and noticed some choices. The half rack of ribs was my pick. The cold beer was a nice start and I was served in a good time. The down fall was the ribs not being very tender. I think they were a bit dry and chewy. Was not the fall off the bone yum you can get a other places. The fries also had been sitting around a little long. I was hoping to find this new spot a go to place but alas it fell a little short. Every-time and I mean every-time I go here I always wait at least 10 minutes or more before anyone acknowledges myself or my company as customers. I'm not a fan of the food but the drinks and service are great once you are served. I feel as though the staff is either overwhelmed with business or they just do not care. read more

I was in town for work and wanted a good place to get a bite to eat. I ordered the spicy BBQ boneless wings and I was very happy. These weren't some cheap tiny wings, and the sauce was perfect. The bar staff was friendly and quick to help with my order, and the kitchen staff did great at getting the food out fast. It is a sports bar, and the atmosphere is exactly what you would expect. I used to love this place, however; the last two times have been a complete disaster. First we saw people who came in way after us get there food before us. Only to find out that our ticket was lost by the kitchen. We were not told about this until I asked. I thought I would give them another chance. But, here I am again, as I'm writing this post, waiting over an hour for our food. I also ordered another beer, 20 min later my wife had to go up to the bar and order the beers again. Visited with my family of four after a long day of traveling. Kids ordered grilled cheese and chicken strips with fries with a soda. Husband had a flat iron steak that was so tiny he couldn't stop laughing. He took a pic of it with an iPhone 5c to compare size and the phone was much bigger. For 15 bucks in a sports bar behind a liquor store, it should have been cheaper or larger. He said it tasted ok. The sides were even tiny with that steak. I had the steak nachos and they weren't great, but ok. Plenty of high placed tvs, keno, and seating. I'm not sure we'd go back before trying other options. read more

Coming to Nebraska from California doesn't make sense as it is, but my family and I were optimistic. To our disappointment the food and options are terrible in quality and selection...that was until we saw the opened sign at Backaracks! Walking in the bar and patrons are subtle and kind. We sat where we liked and service was on point. I ordered the Swiss & mushroom burger w/fries and wife had the 1/2 rack of ribs w/ onion rings. Our 2 year old had the chicken strips with fries and let me tell you, the best part was not expecting much and seeing the quality, smelling the aroma, and tasting these orders as they were meant to be prepared. The cook came out as requested by me and as we complimented his kitchens efforts. We were so HANGRY at the time and Backaracks restored the Christian in me. Awesome ribs and ribeye steak. House salad and steamed veggies could be improved. The waitress was outstanding! Would certainly return.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Waited for over an hour to get our food, once our food finally came out the bread on the BLT's was stale, and the prime rib was completely rare. Waitress was nice and did her best but the food was terrible. Manager came and offered free drinks, it was obvious she didn't care about the situation. Fantastic! We called ahead for a party of 30 on a Saturday before the Husker game. They accommodated us easily. Service was excellent, food was good and hot for such a large party. They brought us plates and service for a birthday cake we had brought in without question. They staff was very pleasant. Didn't rush us. Would highly recommend. read more

Went on a recommendation from the desk person at the hotel I'm staying at (Fairfield Inn) and was happy with the food and beer selection Got the steak sandwich, medium. Was done perfect and was juicy and tender and received with the fries still nice and warm. Staff was friendly and attentive without being overly attentive. Was there early in the evening after traveling to town and parking lot was just starting to fill up as we were leaving, so appears to be popular with the locals. read more

Food and service was great. But after paying with my credit card I had an extra service charge added that caught me by surprise. They add a 3% service fee when paying with credit or debit card. There is a sign on the door informing people of this, but the door was held open for me and I never saw it. It was only $.55 so I didn't make a fuss over it, but I think the establishment should share this information in a few more places other than just the front door. read more

Wanted to have dinner before the party people hit so we got there with the dinner crowd. We were pleased with our dinner selections. I had the rib eye steak sandwich with slaw and my husband had the half a rack of ribs dinner. We were both pleased with our meals. Delicious. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Upon reading some reviews, we were hesitant if we wanted to try Backaracks. I'm certainly glad we did decide to go, and judge for ourselves. Each family member had something different off the menu. Everything was wonderful!!! Our waitress was friendly, and efficient. I was skeptical to try the ribs, and I certainly wasn't disappointed! I went here a few months ago and don't plan on going back. I was drinking beers with a couple friends at a table and every time I went up to get another I would have to wait for the bartender to stop flirting with a guy at the other end of the bar to notice me. It wasn't busy but there were plenty of people for her to be checking in on. When she finally noticed me she was very rude and asked me if I wanted another like it was a huge inconvenience to pull a leaver on the tap. I've had other similar experiences with the female bartenders. The only reason I give them two stars is because there is a couple servers or bartenders who have been good in the past. read more
