Our server was a family member of the family owned business and boy was she really nice. She filled our travelling water bottles with ice and fresh water for the road trip to Earls Cove, then helped us through ordering a build your own breakfasts kind of deal as we wanted eclectic items. The overeasy eggs - while normally pretty basic by short order standards - were actually done perfectly. No greasy fried bits showing just perfect circular eggwhites and yolks. The sourdough toast was simple but tasted thick and "meaty" with just the right amount of butter. Yes, sounds silly to nail down superlative descriptions for basic toast, but hey, it seemed like everything had that home cooked vibe about it where food is made with care and concern. The pancakes were beyond basic as one member of my family who loves flapjacks noted the fluffy texture and classic taste perfection. The indecisive one of us finally asked for a burger and mashed potatoes at 10:30am. No problem was the reply. Our daughter dug in immediately at its serving and again, all smiles and dripping juices. Coffee was totally adequate, refills consistent, and the tea was hot. Price was so very fair other than we tipped too high perhaps being so tickled pink having expected more of a greasy spoon experience. And that it was not.

We were pleasantly impressed by the wonderful view from the patio overlooking Porpoise Bay. The service was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the fish and chips that we noticed other customers were enjoying as well as a glass of white wine. While waiting for our meal we enjoyed the lovely view of the mountains, bay and boats while sipping on our glass of wine. Everything was perfect! The meal arrived and it was beyond my expectations. I rarely order fish and chips and I would definitely order it again at the lighthouse pub. The fish was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. The portions were great for me and my big appetite. The price was reasonable for such a lovely meal and atmosphere. I look forward to going back to eat there again on my next visit.

The menu is quite large, lots of mains and handhelds to choose from. Our group ordered the salmon burger, beef burger, beef quesadilla and pasta carbonara. All was good and tasty. Especially loved the yam fries!! Our only complaint was the wait. It took a while to get our drinks, and also to order the food. For drinks I ordered a lavender coconut margarita, it was quite strong and a bit too salty. The others had different beers so no issues on that side. Overall a good place to have a relaxed meal.

Very diner feel, with the stacking church hall / school chairs of the 1950s-70s... My companion had the French toast special (bacon and blueberries, banana for people who aren't allergic) and loved it. Bacon perfectly crisp, well-saturated bread toasted right to the edge of carmelizing. I had several sides: perfectly soft poached eggs on hashbrowns with half an avocado... filling, flavourful and allergen-free (for me.)

There were also two empty tables on the patio, but customers were told that they don't like to seat customers there, since their kitchen likes to throw things out there. In my opinion, if that is the case they should have removed the tables in that area to avoid confusion. I ordered the crab cake bowl and strawberry milkshake. The crab bowl flavor was good, but could have used more crab. The hash browns were nicely cooked and the vegetable ratio was good. Strawberry milkshake was really nice, not too sweet and just the right amount of strawberry flavor. Had the customer service been better I would have rated this higher, but unfortunately our experience started off poorly.

Also used to be Goofy's pub, so I've been there before, half a lifetime ago. The building is big inside, and out. Post and beam design and quite nicely decorated inside. We were seated quickly, and appeared to just beat the rush, as a bunch of party's came in right after us. Our waters were quickly dropped by the young lady who sat us, and we were then handed off to our server. We sort of got lost in the shuffle, and sat for a bit before she came by. We ordered our beverages and food at the same time, which we typically do not do. Our food came out before our beverages which I am never a fan of. My Togarashi Orange bowl was a big portion, but I got none of the Togarashi nor orange in it. It had a hint of heat which was great. The mango had no taste at all. K's Beef dip was ok, but lacked real flavour and the au jus was just alright. We also felt the fries were a little sparse. If I was given the opportunity to give half marks it would be a 3.5, not a 4, but also definitely not a 3. We'd give it a go again when on Sechelt.

While delectable, that, wasn't even my favorite part. My favorite part was the service. It felt like home the first, and the second time I stepped into Twenty Two. Prab made all the difference for each of two nights I was there. The first night, Prab helped me to taste the wine before deciding upon one. The second night I purchased a bottle of wine. She was awesome in helping me to understand that on Wednesday nights, they have specials on bottles. She didn't have to tell me that, but she did. She has great ethics about her. While there I made other friends too, and was treated extremely well (Brandon, Aja), and others made it feel like home to me; like your neighborhood lounge and all were so very professional at the same time. They all made me feel very special, and like I was visiting with friends as a solo traveler, each of two nights. Can't wait to come back when I'm in BC next time.
