I attempted to get some gelato at this queen River ice cream shop in Pasadena, but the line literally wrapped around the corner! My boyfriend and I wanted to get ice cream after dinner, but sadly the gelato store was closed!! I was surprised to find out the next week. There was a gelato shop opening in Santana Road, and it was the same company as the one I tried to visit at old Pasadena!! Sold!! My friend and I went here on a Monday morning around 10:30 AM and luckily there was nobody in line! The whole Cafe area is set up like a cute little grandma's house or something very clean and modernize, but I love all the little fixtures! Kind of like Giada De Laurentii's house when she goes to Tuscany!! Hee simply adorable! The three employees that were there were incredibly helpful and patient as my friend and I got to sample the different various flavors. We were so happy nobody was in line behind us! Lol found out that they make all their ice cream/gelato fresh daily in this giant machine in the back and you can see through the windows people working hard at their craft!! When we got our ice cream, we sat outside since it was a beautiful morning and we got to enjoy our ice cream and play catch-up. I can't wait to see the different flavors that they come up with since summer is right around the corner!! I also loved the baked goods they had!! I got three different pastries!! First timer the other day and luckily the line wasn't too long when we got there but that changed fast in a few mins during lunch time. I ordered the waffle cone with pistachio cream and pistachio crumbles, then got three scoops: Strawberry Cheesecake on the bottom, Pistachio in the middle, and Liana's Shortcake on top. It was amazing. The pistachio flavor was rich, smooth, and tasted high quality, while the Strawberry Cheesecake added a fruity, creamy contrast. Liana's Shortcake on top was such a fun choice and made the whole cone feel extra indulgent. I also loved that the cone itself was part of the experience, not just a container. The quality of the ingredients is amazing. The gelato taste fresh, creamy and authentic! Had such an amazing experience at Bacio Di Latte on a random Monday. I've heard rave reviews for some time and finally had the opportunity to stop by and try it out. This event allows you to get a piccolo (2 flavors) I typically don't get gelato, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavors here! They have plenty of indoor, outdoor (with and without heaters) seating. When you get to the front you are encouraged to try as many flavors as you like and the workers there are so patient. Aeuyura (sorry if I misspelled) was kind and offered me her recs for creating a tasty matcha affogato. I'd only ever had the original kind made with espresso, but I do love me some matcha, so I went with her recommendation. It was perfection! Slightly sweetened by the incredibly smooth & nutty pistachio gelato, with that herbaceous, slightly earthy matcha flavor. I loved it! I also got to sample a few of their vegan gelati, like the vegan Belgian chocolate and the strawberry sorbet. Both very decadent! I think next time I'll go for the espresso + chocolate combo...che bello! The shop itself is what you would expect when thinking about elegant Italian style. Definitely feels much more elevated. Cute storefront, long line on a cold Saturday evening. I got tiramisu and 3 cioccolati in a waffle cone. Smooth, creamy...I wouldn't get tiramisu again (tho I'm crazy bout tiramisu in general), flavor wasn't pronounced enough. 3 cioccolati, super rich, 5/5. I appreciated that the waffle cone didn't come with a paper wrapper glued to it. I probably won't come here again without a coupon, I felt it was a tad pricy compared to other cold treat options in the area without a corresponding increase in quality/experience. read more

This location seems to be brand new! It's located in Santana Row all the way in the back. Everything was clean, organized, and looked Insta-worthy. It was popping too, so expect a bit of a line! Crema & Biscotti: This gelato was amazing, but I would argue that it had more of an ice cream consistency rather than gelato. This started melting almost instantly, which made me iffy about whether it was even "gelato." Regardless, it was delicious and creamy.
