A delightful spot in what used to be a fairly quiet part of lower Westchester. Service was quick and polite, and the food delicious. The artichoke with cannellini beans is a dish I could eat several times a week. The bean sauce complimented the grilled vegetable perfectly. The trout was light and well seasoned, and not a morsel was left in the bowl of fruta de mer. For those local or visiting the area, a meal here is worth the trip. read more

I used to come here all the time before COVID, and I had the pleasure of going back this week. I was pleased to see that the restaurant had undergone some renos. It looks wonderful! My party of 4 was seated immediately in a comfy spot near the warm fireplace. Service was great throughout the whole meal. Several servers continued to check in on us throughout our time at the restaurant, and they were kind and respectful. I ordered the Fettuccine alla Bacio, which was very tasty! This used to be my family's go-to restaurant when I was younger! Since then, it has undergone a beautiful renovation that expanded the restaurant. I ate dinner at Bacio recently but didn't take any pictures because the food was so good that we ate it before anyone could take out their phone! We ordered the Garganelli allo Zafferano (creamy and flavorful. Definitely a must-try), the Fettuccine alla Bacio (packed with seafood! I feel like restaurants usually skimp out on this part, but there was a ton of shrimp!), and the Chicken Cacciatore on the Bone (this was on the "specials" menu). Everything was delicious! The service was also impeccable. The staff were very attentive and gave excellent food recommendations. The restaurant also has a beautiful fireplace that kept us nice and warm during the meal. I absolutely loved my *homemade* (whatever 'homemade' might mean in a restaurant) 'Ravioli in Fresh Tomato Sauce with Basil'. Loved. It. (Did I mention I loved it?) Staff were reservedly gracious and tuned to our party's situation -- former work buddies separated by the retirement of one, and with our respective significant others -- doing our best to keep the camaraderie flowing. * my Ravioli -- generous portion, and basil so fresh it was still breathing . . . I made a 'scarpeta' with the fresh, warm bread to soak up the overflow sauce. I am still pinching myself to determine whether I was asleep and dreaming . . . . * my date's dish -- a saffron-based sauce over a 'home-made' (again, whatever that means) multi-syllable macaroni I'd never heard of . . . I think there was prosciutto in the mix too . . . It was clear by her blush she was transported to euphoria . . . . * my Work Homie loved his fragrant, bespoke Risotto . . . And, (speaking as a visual professional) the risotto was beautiful . . . glistening silvery grains of perfectly seasoned Arborio rice (WHY DIDN'T I ORDER THIS!!!) *W*H*Y*??? * Work Homie's chic Date: broccoli rabe-centric pasta; it was -- evidently -- sublime. She was glowing in joy, savoring every sub-molecule . . . . That our meals were *Heavenly* was the prime success factor. Minimalist interior, understated . . . We chose simply: excellent tap water was refreshing; each of our requests were better than as described on the menu (and PERFECT), and delivered to our table all together at the same moment, (and all same price, making dividing the bill So Easy). Went there on a Friday after Thanksgiving without rez and the place was popping. The place was very welcoming and the atmosphere was very friendly, warm and chic and well-designed inside . We decided to sit at the bar, what was a pleasant experience - Yolanda is very knowledgeable and no nonsense woman and very friendly and personable, she runs the bar and carry out. Food was flying out the door. I had the NY strip which was cook to perfection, per my request and my partner had gnocchi which was amazing. I almost left out the best part of all! We ordered an appetizer and we were delighted with 3 homemade large size meatballs. We also asked for ricotta cheese dolloped on the side. I'll end with that they were very close to what I have every Sunday so they hit a home run with me! I will definitely return to this gem. read more

Hiked at nearby Ward Pound Ridge in 34 degrees and needed some hearty, winter dinner and this, my friends, is the spot. Got the Sunday dinner "at Grandma's" dish that was pasta pomodoro with ribs, sausage, and meatballs and it was extraordinary. The sausage and meatballs, especially, were so perfect and flavorful. Also got the cannelloni, which is super creamy and comforting, but the Sunday dinner is tops. The side salad that comes with it is even great. 5 stars!!!! read more

Nice spot with plenty of tables, good food and great service. We found the items (calamari, lasagna, salmon) to be good but not great. The calamari and lasagna were a bit plain and would benefit from some attention to seasoning. The salmon was good but the consensus was similar that it could have used some different seasonings. Not a bad option for a good meal. read more

The food here is so delicious. The calamari and the fried zucchini was out of this world. They make their pastas fresh in house. The service was really good the wait staff was very nice. It was amazing what they did with this place I was at this restaurant as a kid when it was a diner. The decor was simple yet elegant. My family loves this place they go often it was my first time. Delicious! I had dinner here recently and was excited to see how many different kinds of homemade pasta dishes they had to offer. It's been a while since I have indulged in homemade pasta, so I jumped in and had the penne with calamari, mussels, clams and shrimp. This delightful dish was served with a light marinara sauce. I might have been humming while I was eating. Yes....it was a work dinner. So, what. Take me as I am. My dining companion ordered the beet salad and a wonderful pasta dish (homemade, of course) with a light cream sauce and prosciutto. He loved it. We shared some of that beet salad and it was excellent - creamy, crunchy, salty and a bit sweet. Bread basket with olive oil? Sadly, I can't help myself. I wolfed down a couple of pieces of those crusty slices with perfectly delicious olive oil. I've driven by this place so many times over the years and never noticed it. Went to Bacio for the first time, in a group of 8 on a weekday night. It was crowded at 630pm when we arrived but by 8 it was quiet. The appetizers we ordered, (fig, antipasto and beets), were good. Main courses included rigatoni broccoli rabe and sausage, a boar sausage special and fusilli with eggplant. Everyone said they enjoyed their meal. Desserts and coffees were standard and the prices were reasonable. read more

Another great dinner! The best Italian restaurant and bar in the area. Service is very good both at the bar and while dining at our table. The owner came over and gave us a shot of delicious house-made lemoncello which was much appreciated and a nice touch. To start, the bread served at the table was ridiculously delicious ... maybe the best bread I've eaten all year (it's November). The olive oil was the deepest green I've ever seen, and the stuffed artichoke brought me back to my grandmothers kitchen! So great. The best part for me was "Sunday Dinner at Grandma's" - it consists of 2 meatballs, pork braciole and Italian sausage in "gravy" (spaghetti sauce). It comes with ziti, but I special ordered it with linguine instead. Spot on, what I grew up on and DELICIOUS. They also offer black squid ink pasta and an assortment of other pasta dishes, as well as salads, entree and desserts. This is a soup to nuts experience and a wonderful way to spend an entire evening. read more

This is a solid Italian restaurant tacked away in bucolic Cross River. Delicious red sauce, excellent home made pasta, respectable wine list and attentive, familial service. Prices are very reasonable in this crazy unreasonable times. We spent $350 before taxes and tip for 6 people ordering primi, secondi and the appetizers, a bottle and two glasses of wine and a drink . Food always is delicious though portions have gotten smaller in last 2 years. Service is always impeccable, extremely nice and prompt with any needs. Sadly, I wish the building was larger so it could accommodates more seats and larger outside seating area. Im giving it 3 stars because the waiter wasn't pleasant. He made us feel uncomfortable. He was short, didn't smile, wasn't welcoming, etc.... It was as if he didn't want to be there or we bothered him and it showed. The busser who filled our glasses with water and brought us bread was much nicer and knew more about the Menu than the actual Waiter. Maybe they should switch titles. (Dude if you hate your job that much maybe you should quit) Went here on Sunday around 1:30 from NYC for lunch, 6/01/2018. The place was very clean, atmosphere was quiet which we both needed. We ordered the Antipasti which was a great choice. We then opted for the Pasta with Mushroom w/ Spinach and Shrimp. That was amazing, however, we also ordered the Frutti De Mare and that was Mediocre. They used large rigatoni which became overbearing so the seafood was over shadowed. The dish had a bunch of calamari and not enough of anything else. It was basically rigatoni with calamari. The sauce on both dishes were exceptional. When we asked for the dessert Menu the "RUDE WAITER" didn't bother getting it for us and said "he knew everything from the top of his head." I said Oh ok, however, the way he said it was rushed and didn't leave any room for imagination, we therefore didn't order any. My Husband had the Cappuccino and asked for the bill. As we were waiting for our tab the table right next to us asked to see the dessert menu and the waiter brought it to them no problem. Let me just add that I travel often to these neck of the Woods. I highly doubt I'll be returning here. I'll be sure to tell my friends and family about my experience. Ps. Although our experience here sucked we managed to change our perspective and continued have an amazing Sunday thereafter. read more

Walked in and were promptly seated on a busy Friday evening. The drinks were strong and wine list delicious. They offered whole wheat and gluten free pasta which I greatly appreciated. Went with whole wheat penne and their meatballs. The sauce was delicious and meatballs all I could have hoped for and more! Most the staff are Italians too so gives a fun European vibe inside. Went with a group of 4 for a double date and everyone else loved their dishes that we were all sharing with one another. Highly recommend for a well prepared and designed meal. read more
