Went to Aversonos on an early Saturday evening for dinner with my wife. Started off with the Asian calamari and parm garlic bread which were both outstanding. Wife had the veal cutlet parm and spaghetti. She loved the veal but was a little sketchy with the spaghetti, said it tasted a little off. I had the rigatoni Bolognese with a side of meatballs. I am usually not a big fan of Italian meatballs but there meatballs are actually pretty good. (My wife does make better) Their rigatoni are short, fat little things that are outstanding. Good gravy. Service was excellent and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was a little noisy (bridal shower in the back room) but other than that, I would not hesitate to go back. read more

Valerie is a waitress and she is excellent all the specials what they're about. OK, so let's talk about appetizers Nonna meatballs are unbelievable, then we move onto the Cajun calamari oh my god what a twist it is absolutely a new taste. That's unbelievable. Then he had a special was kinda like an egg roll with sausage and broccoli Rob and something else I wasn't paying attention but when they tasted it, oh my goodness so good. My meal was Catelli and sausage with ricotta. So between the appetizers and the main meal, there was so much food. I'm definitely haven't leftovers. Now we move onto the chocolate martini I've never seen anybody put this whipped cream with some chocolate syrup on the top of it and it is excellent and then we move onto the rainbow cookie dessert cake it tasted like a rainbow cookie unbelievable. read more

We enjoyed Aversano. Very nice staff, really nice menu choices. Prices are reasonable. Pastas were very good. Appetizer Asian Calamari was really terrific. We thought the pasta portion for lunch was a little small but not a major issue. And Toasted Almond Tirimisu was terrific. read more

We actually went to Aversano's by mistake ... But am so glad we made a mistake! We had multiple friends in town and after touring our museum in Patterson and studio at Mt Ebo, we frequently go to another Italian restaurant 5 minutes down the street. Thought that's where we were going when I searched on Yelp but Aversano's came up #1. We had an amazing dinner. The baked oysters, calamari and pepperoni trey was delicious that we all shared. The short rib was one of the best I have ever had. Everyone at the table bragged about their meal. They even had port wine from the best winery in Porto, Portugal that we personally visited. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and checked on us consistently. Many tour this area: this is a great place to bring guests for dinner. Parking is super easy being in a shopping center. You can tell by the entrance that the inside is on the fancier side. It definitely matches the interior. The interior is dim, calming, and inviting. There are two entrances, one that is closer to resembling a fancy pizza parlor. The staff is attentive, they listen to your preferences and respect them. I got dessert before my entree and it came out stat just as I'd like. I got my entree after my dessert was finished and cleared, just as I'd like. The staff is friendly as well and try their best with their attitudes and overall service which I love. I got their popular sachetti which lives up to its popularity-- it's delicious . The blend of cheeses are just right, smooth, and not overpoweringly rich. I would def come back here . Their cosmo was delicious, not just thrown together. Puzzling evening here. Have been here several times, each time convincing myself it will be better. Beautiful dining area with all the sensory things; terrific music, candlelight, bustling friendly staff, charming hostess. The waiter did a lovely job of reciting all the numerous and detailed specials, though it was way too much work to memorize them and to compare with the wine list; I asked for a printed version (I'd be happy with a chalkboard) but there was none, so I ignored it and stuck to the menu. We enjoyed our mozzarella and tomato appetizer very much; seasoned perfectly and the dressing was absolutely phenomenal. The bread and oil was delicious and my husband loved his meatballs and "gravy". The salmon and asparagus was fine, though the sauce was a little chunky and more copious than necessary. A solid meal. Sadly, our server disappeared half way through. I would have enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, and our water glasses went dry. The third busser my husband asked for bread for his delicious sauce finally brought some. We never were offered a dessert or coffee suggestion, and after each of used the facilities and waiting around some more, the second busser we asked brought us a container for the scraped off salmon and found our waitress to give us a check. I'm an ok cook myself, and I enjoy cooking a lot. So, about 75% of the motivation to go out is to feel the luxury of being "waited on". Excellent Italian food! We came with friends that had only ever been in the takeout/pizza side, but we dined in and it was fantastic. The service is excellent, the food was amazing and the ambiance is warm and inviting although the tables were a little tighter together than I like. That's frankly a minor detail compared to how awesome the food was. Our group of 4 each had something different. I had their chicken parm, which was outstanding, my wife had their seafood pasta and loved it. One friend had their sausage and broccoli rab over orichette, which he said was awesome and finally, our other friend had their short ribs (which was a special) and it was amazing! I definitely recommend this restaurant. My family has been with them since their first restaurant in North Brewster Rd. Live in the area and ordered a pizza to go on our drive home. A convenient location and we hoped equal to the quality of other area pizza. With the added topping pepperoni .onion, and green pepper the cost was $43 , roughly 2x the price for the same pizza at our normal place. Quality was weak with a cardboard crust. A specialty slice at Bruno's is $5 in New Fairfield would have cheaper to by a slice at a time. Frankly , no pizza in the area has been more than $25 piled high so sticker shock . Very glad that we decided to come here. The service was excellent! The hostess and servers were all extremely nice and attentive. I'm not sure if they were the owners or the chefs, but there were two men in chefs attire checking on us, and everyone else, in the dining room and they were very friendly and welcoming. We had the chicken parm, chicken alla vodka, apple sangria, and espresso martini, and everything was delicious!! We were too full for dessert, but took a cannoli to go. The strangest worst "truffle" pizza we have ever had. This "truffle" pizza has prosciutto, capers, and truffle oil on it. It was so bad we didn't know what to do. The total shock and horror of seeing these toppings on a truffle pizza. But wait there's more. The calamari was frozen tiny rubbery round pieces. You can't even call it calamari, maybe put on the menu "round pieces of rubber" instead. It was horrendous. Then you think okay well the buffalo mozzarella has got to be good, right? Wrong! It was old cooked prosciutto wrapped in a brick of mozzarella with some after thought old tomatoes on the side. Absolutely appalling. The sacchetti was their only saving grace and probably because it wasn't even made in house. I would never ever go back there for a dinner. Maybe a quick slice of plain pizza if I was starving. My family and I have been coming here for years, and have rarely had bad experiences. The food is great, the staff is friendly and management is visible and involved. The overall atmosphere is what we continue to come back for. Normally, our favorite waitress is Kathy. She's phenomenal and always takes care of us. We love her recommendations. Our last visit, we started at the bar then shortly moved to a table, at which both Brian was our server. He was helpful and knew his specials. We can be a difficult and indecisive group, but he seemed to stay patient with us. We enjoyed this past experience, however, one of the two problems that came up was that they ran out of mushroom ravioli, and we didn't know until we tried to order it. But that just proves how delicious it was that it sold out! The app specials we ordered were good, and luckily they came right after we all scarfed down the complimentary bread and oil, which is always a tempting starter. I got my usual, red pepper ravioli and as per normal, it was delicious and so filling I couldn't finish it! I was slightly disappointed in my left overs, the bus boy hadn't wrapped up my raviolis with any of the extra sauce or extra red peppers. It had looked as if he just forked out the two raviolis from my dish, they were quite bare. Dessert is always delicious here, I tend to gravitate towards their tiramisu options. My boyfriend's mom had her wedding ceremony/celebration of close to 40 people at Aversanos on Saturday night and I feel the need to rave about how fabulous the night was. My boyfriend and I arrived an hour early to setup table decorations and 3-4 staff members immediately offered to help with whatever we needed which included filling 15 vases with water & lighting 15 floating candles. We got the setup done in no time. I appreciated the detail they put into setting the table in terms of beautifully folded napkins, bread & oil plates with parm. cheese setup every few seats, etc... When the party started, the wait staff was fantastic at getting each course out quickly and clearing dirty plates in a timely manner. Drinks were flowing and the bartender was personable & helpful. One of my favorite parts of the night was when the live band started and played several love songs which got everyone up & dancing in the bar area. Such a special and fun night.
