Cutillo's is a unique fine dining restaurant with an atypical setup but still provides a good fine dining experience. In a way Cutillo's caters to the entire rural area its located within. As a restaurant it is located on Farmers Mill Road. Not too far from the highway but still significantly deep in the woods so to speak. Cutillo's as far as I remember it never was too populated except maybe for Valentines Day when local people collectively wanted to eat somewhere nice which to me signals that the clientele eat only sporadically here. The restaurant itself is more of a house as well with the restaurant portion being on the bottom floor. This is actually quite nice and adds to the cozy feeling of the place (along with being in the woods.) The interior is quite cute and homey. It reminds me of my old country home's dining room with the wooden furniture. The food here is quite good. When I came here with a group a lot of us got the duck special they had and it was fantastic. The duck was finely portioned, juicy, and the tangerines they serve with it pair great with the duck meat. They also serve good pasta here that some of us really enjoyed. There is a big veal menu we noticed but we are not fans of that that kind of cuisine so we we have no comments on that. The waitresses here were friendly and again homey. A lot of restaurants around the area higher teenager kids to do the waiting but here the staff are professionals. Its a very lovely place to eat at. If there is one complaint we could have is we felt the meals were a little much but overall it is worth coming here to eat and enjoy a relaxing day out.

My family of 12 enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cutillo's. We were comfortably seated in a room all to ourselves which was greatly appreciated allowing my 16 month old granddaughter & her parents some freedom. Service was terrific and food, delicious. We shared fried calamari, scungilli salad & garlic bread as appetizers. Entrees were plentiful. Cozy atmosphere making us feel we were "at home".

Then seated. Anywhere is a good spot; most have an outside view. The decor is tasteful and inviting. An excellent venue for a date night, family event, or just a dinner in a beautiful restaurant with the one you love, or maybe impress. ; ) The menu has something for everyone. There are also daily specials. Your selection will come from the kitchen the way you'd expect. Done perfectly and at the right temperature. You're not rushed. Service is impeccable; from linen napkins and silverware, to a waitstaff that knows there is more to a dinner service, than shoving a plate in front of you and then disappearing the rest of the time. The Chef enjoys the career. like someone who is cooking for family, it is a special occasion! Overall, I was truly impressed with our Sunday lunch. Sunday's special the seafood risotto was perfect! None of the ingredients were over or under cooked. I just wish I had the appetite of a 20 year old! There was a clam with wine and cherry peppers appetizer. That could have been our main. There was more than enough and along with the bread from Mario's as a scarpetta it was glorious. Server Angela was helpful, professional, and attentive. She and the venue made a cold and cloudy day a ray of sunshine in June. We will be coming back. Now that we know it's right off the Taconic at Carpenter Street.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

Usually I like to pick what dishes are considered popular on Beli but I really wanted to try them, they're just too hot and not very satisfying to kick off your palate. The bread was okay, a little (very) messy and the hummus trio was cute but not necessary or particularly tasty. The pollo al limone and gamberoni e fagioli were good, a little dry but not a deal breaker. Service was nice, the place is pretty casual so I would recommend for a regular casual date night, it's not fine dining--the experience was nice but not luxurious. What I mean is it's cozy and inviting, not elegant and stuffy. Cheers!

Our service throughout the meal was excellent with both our server and the manager (or owner?) checking in consistently. I really liked the decor and music as well. The decor is minimalistic, but I really liked how clean everything felt. I asked about the music -- it was 80s and 90s rock like Journey and Elton John and it matched our tastes perfectly for the particular moment in time we were there. They said they use pandora and the music varies from night to night, but we were fans. The food is where things weren't quite up to 5 stars, which is why the rating. We started with an autumn (squash) soup and wedge salad. The soup was good or maybe even a little better than good, but not great. For me, the salad was the same way. It comes with candied bacon and that just doesn't fit the profile of bleu cheese and iceberg. I ended up eating the salad without the bacon and then having the bacon at the end as an "opening dessert." The salad was super fresh and the dressing was well done. And the bacon alone was delicious--just not great together for my palate. We went with a couple handmade pasta dishes as our mains and they were both good. Again, not quite great. I liked mine better than my wife's. That is sis's new favorite was well named to my mind. It was spicy, but not overly so and the tomato and broccoli added depth to the dish that was missing from my wife's pasta. I would 100% come back. If we do, I think we'd split a pasta and a main. Some of the fish dishes we saw go by looked fantastic. The one negative to me was an occasional whiff of marijuana. I'm totally fine with someone taking a break to calm themselves if that's what they need. I just don't want to smell that while I'm eating, especially in a restaurant that is otherwise very very nice.
