The moment I walked in, the restaurant gave off an upscale vibe--maybe it was the tablecloths, the wine racks, or the waitstaff in uniform, but it immediately felt like a nice place to settle in. It was a late night, so we didn't want to eat too much. We asked to split the lasagna, and it ended up being the perfect portion for two. The lasagna itself was meaty, rich, and really satisfying. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread. It wasn't as crunchy as we had hoped at first, but the staff was more than happy to remake it for us, which we really appreciated. Yoooooooooooooooo! This spot is modestly fire I probably order takeout from here like once or twice a month whenever I'm craving that old school Italian comfort food type vibe. It was good overall, seafood was solid, pasta cooked right, but I honestly wish it had more spice to it I kept waiting for a little kick that never fully came. Still decent though if you like lighter seafood pasta flavors. Also quick warning about the calamari because I learned the hard way last time make sure you finish it the SAME day. Once it sits overnight it turns super hard and chewy. Even tossing it in the air fryer the next day couldn't save it lol. One thing I will say is the service can be a little slower than expected sometimes. I usually call my order in like an hour ahead before getting off work, and this time when I got there it still wasn't ready yet But to be fair, the staff has always been really friendly, professional, and respectful every time I come through, so it kinda balances out. $58 for a tiny portion of chicken parm and chicken Alfredo. Mind you this was dinner for two females who don't eat much as it is. The price did not bother me as much as the taste though - if the food was amazing it would make sense. This was one of the worst chicken parm experiences I've ever had. Taste was plain, chicken itself was poor quality you could tell, and the too soft pasta that came with it was mid. Not even freshly made pasta I can tell the difference. I did not taste the chicken Alfredo but why it came with just pasta and no fresh herbs was weird. Tase of that I was told was also not good. Oh also the food came with mediocre bread that tasted like it was some baguette cut from Costco. Mind you I've been to Italy, spent years on the east coast, and recently moved here looking for some good Italian food. Extremely disappointed not sure how this place has such a high rating but won't be coming here again. People here must have low expectations. It took a little longer to get the food, but you need to wait longer for better experience. The restaurant was clean, small, and cozy. We dined in their patio which was still enclosed. The bread wasn't even toasted, it was plain and just served with vinegar and oil. Definitely underwhelming. Great experience from start to finish pre-Mother's Day! We were seated quickly and with a smile and service was spot on from filling the water glasses to our dessert course. Calamari was very good, just enough breading and fried perfectly, not a bit of oil saturation. Good dipping sauce too! Veal and angel hair spaghetti was overwhelming in quantity and taste and the rigatoni "bolognese" was very good. Their wine list doesn't begin to cover all the wines available, there was no Pinot Noir on the list and our waiter pointed out one one the shelf. My only problem with the wine is being on the shelf it tends to be a little too warm but certainly drinkable. Best dang Italian we have had!! My husband and I came in on a whim & was immediately serviced, all of the servers were greatly attentive and the food was SO fresh!! We started our meal with the calamari and some garlic bread, we also had some great wine. The plate sizes were huge for everything (not necessarily family size portions but they did not skimp out on anything). The place itself isn't huge but real Italian music, gave very homey vibes and comfortable atmosphere. Now the food? Was the real masterpiece. My pasta dish was amazing, had fresh arrúgala, mushrooms, pork belly, and my husband's manicotti was to die for! Came here last night with my girlfriend. Honestly not all it was hyped up to be. Was expecting more based on what friends told me. Decent dinner but a few letdowns. For starters there's no greeter or hostess stand. It's a very awkward set up when you walk in through the plastic flappy doors and see nobody there lol. And I didn't know they DON'T HAVE A BAR! So no cocktails. My GF was so bummed. We were about to leave but just decided to stay. I've never seen a restaurant with such great food with no bar. The food was great. I was disappointed in the bread basket since they charge for it. I was expecting some over the top bread. Nope. Just bread you could get anywhere. Wasn't bad but just pretty standard white bread rolls. Had to ask for butter. It's good it came with Olive Oil and Balsamic. The mozzarella appetizer was delicious. Very well made and hot. Highly recommend this app! The Cesar salad was average. I've had better. But by no means was it horrible. Crisp and fresh romaine lettuce. My main dish the Pesto, scallops, chicken Fettuccine dish was good. Solid dish. Cant go wrong with this one. Again wasn't over the top. But I had no complaints other than I felt the portion was a tad small. BUT...what was a very shady thing to do was charge me $6.95 for chicken on my dish when I decided to opt for chicken INSTEAD of the shrimp it normally came with. The up charge would have been justified had I gotten chicken IN ADDITION to the shrimp. But we all know chicken is cheaper than shrimp (I'm a sommelier in a higher end restaurant) so the up charge was very shady. My girlfriend got the Salmon and some veggies and potatoes. She loved it. Said it was made perfectly. Very generous portion. Cannoli for dessert. Pretty good. Would I get it again? Maybe. Would want to try other things first. Overall below average dining experience. Chef's special (5/10): Porcini cream sauce had an odd, almost maple-syrup taste. The sausage reminded me of Taiwanese sausage that you get in Asian fried rice. Honestly, the pasta I make at home for $10 tastes better. We paid close to $100 for two pasta dishes (with tax and tip). Portions were not family-sized, just single plates with no sides. I was excited to come here after reading all the great reviews. However, the experience started off a bit disappointing. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty (only three other guests were inside), we were seated at a smaller table while several larger tables were available. Shortly after, two couples arrived and were seated at the bigger tables. We had planned to order several dishes to share, so having enough space would have made a big difference. To make things worse, the couple who came in right after us received the bigger table across from us and faster service --from getting water, to ordering food and even dessert. It felt unwelcoming, as we waited significantly longer just to place our order. We ordered the garlic bread, the Linguine Sarno, and a lobster risotto that was previously on the menu. I appreciated that they accommodated our request for a past dish, especially since their menu mentions, "If you don't see your favorite dish, we can create it for you." For the FOOD... The garlic bread was very garlicky--which I LOVE--so bonus points for that! There were two types: one flatbread-style and one with a puffier, pizza-like crust. The Linguine Sarno was the highlight of the meal. The noodles were al dente, the spicy tomato sauce had a kick, and the garlic and basil balanced the dish well. However, while some scallops were perfectly cooked, others were unfortunately overdone and rubbery (about a 50/50 ratio). Can't comment on the shrimp as my BF ate that while I finished all the overdone scallops. The lobster risotto was a letdown. While the lobster pieces (about five, each the size of a crawfish tail) were well-seasoned and paired nicely with the dish, the risotto itself was bland on its own and lacked depth. We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try as we didn't want the typical chain restaurants. I tried the Spaghetti Alla Sadie upon the suggestion of the staff (possibly the manager/owner), while my fiancee had the lasagna. The flavors of the garlic and burrata cheese just made the dish great. All in all, great food and extremely friendly staff. They gave us a free gift of some of their own olive oil and vinegar. This was my first time dining here at this restaurant and I honestly had high hopes because I have heard great things. We were greeted and sat as soon as we walked in. Our server greeted us but honestly it really seemed like he did not want to serve our table for whatever reason. He seemed nice and amicable with every other table except for ours. We order a drink and appetizers, and while we're ordering he makes an odd comment on the amount of appetizers we've ordered. Which honestly isn't something a server should say, it made both my parter and I uncomfortable. He didn't write our order down so he comes back a few minutes later confirming what we ordered, he left something out but we didn't correct him because we felt like we were being judged for ordering "a lot" of appetizers. A couple minutes pass by and we get two out of three appetizers we ordered. 20-25 minutes pass by and we are still waiting for our bruschetta. At that point I'm already upset but I'm just trying to take it like a grain of salt. Our bruschetta finally arrives and our server says a snarky comment along the lines of "do you guys still want it, or should we serve it to another table?" Which as I said before, is an odd thing to say as a server. We kept the bruschetta, but we didn't touch it at all. The server comes back and we just told him that we didn't want it anymore because it had taken so long to come out, he took it back. Our entrees come out, he just drops our plates off, doesn't ask us if we need anything else so I asked him to come back because we were still missing a couple of things at the table. It genuinely seemed like we were annoying him when we were just asking him to do his job and give us service, which isn't that hard. The food is underwhelming, or it might've just been the lack of service that made us not like the food. We ask for our check, and on our tab is a beer that my parter ordered but never got. We asked our server to take it off, and he acted surprised and tried blaming his other colleagues for us not getting the beer when we asked him specifically because he was our server. We order a drink and I had ordered originally bruschetta, ceasar salad garlic bread and calamari. He snarkly says "that's a lot of appetizers" okay really? So he repeats the order and leaves out the calamari so I say fine maybe he didn't hear me but that snarky comment made me not get a calamari. Our salad and garlic bread come out but 20 mins pass by and our server hasn't checked on us and we don't have our bruschetta at all. I looked at it when it finally came out and he said "what do you not want it? We can sell it to another table" giving us attitude now at this point. He wouldn't come by to us at all. Then our food came out and I had asked for a beer with my food and that never came out either. It was still on the bill at the end. And when I asked him to remove it since I didn't get it he scoffed and said "oh they didn't bring it to you?". That's something that would've been noticed had he checked on us. At this point we were just fed up with him and his behavior. The rest of the staff however were so kind to us.
