This is the perfect place for a casual dinner or drinks meet-up! The menu is limited, but that's honestly a plus in my opinion. Two of us did a "build-your-own" smash burger, one tried the signature "strut burger", and one had the veggie burger (made with black beans, sweet potato, and mushrooms). Everything was fantastic! The mango chutney on the strut burger was perfect, and I loved their homemade bbq sauce and ketchup. We only tried the fries (sides are á la carte), but they offer a good selection of sides. All of their sodas are small batch (the grapefruit soda is so good!), and they have a huge offering of local beer, hand-crafted cocktails, and milkshakes, boozy or sober. The dairy-free key lime milkshake with pineapple rum was delicious. On top of all the great food and drinks, our service was fantastic and the atmosphere adorable and fun. They have indoor/outdoor seating, and the patio was the perfect place to sit last night. 10/10 Will be coming back soon! read more

Really enjoyed my first time. The staff is friendly and familiar. They did a great job on the space and the patio is amazing. The fries really are great as are the burgers. I like that you can order based on hunger instead of just getting a giant slab of meat. Only issue is the handcrafted soda and ketchup. Please just go with the mainstream on these two things. It's cool for a minute but the comfort factor always outweighs. read more

This place is cute & Instagram-esque. I got a single mushroom & swiss burger that was decent, more on the dry side. The milkshake was good! Overall, I'd probably stick to Steak n' Shake. The menu was pretty pricey ($6 shake + $6 for booze), and for the meal sides are all served ala carte. My vegan friend really loved the dairy-free shake she ordered. Our server was great, and overall the staff seemed friendly. read more

A little pricey. We weren't acknowledged for about 15 minutes after being seated. Go here if you love having diarrhea.

We went and it took forever to be seated. The food took a really long time and the server wasn't interested in refilling our drinks. Food was over priced and we were hungry when we left. I don't suggest this place. read more

Such a great spot!! It's super lively but they still have plenty of space. We had the Caesar salad, strut burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich and they were all amaazing. Also one of the least messy spicy sandwiches I've had which is a huge plus for someone spicy obsessed who doesn't want to struggle through a meal. The only downside was the outdoor area was enclosed but still pretty chilly, it looked like a couple of heaters above us were broken or turned off. Highly recommend! read more

Awesome service, super fun decor, and delicious food and cocktails. I'm not a big burger gal, so I got the chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. Boyfriend got the strut burger, which he loved. Overall, a great experience, and we will be back very soon! read more

I like that they are going for what neighbors are looking for: kid friendly, pet friendly, they have alcohol and ice cream. First time I went ordered to-go...french fries were cold. Veggie burger so-so. Taste was good but kinda soft, was told it wasn't. Second time they didn't have what I wanted, ice cream/shake machine broken. Chicken was greasy...had been told would not be cuz "air fried". It was greasy! No flavor. Only flavor comes from dipping sauces. The "hot" honey was not hot...neither spicy hot nor temperature hot. I am sadly disappointed. I hope they adapt and succeed, but I probably won't be going back unless that happens. read more

Pretty decent place. Good milkshakes and food. It's like Steak 'n Shake with a bar but nicer. Over priced for Indianapolis however, it does cater towards a certain crowd read more

I've checked this place out twice now so I have two different experiences to share. My first experience was on a Friday; they were busy but not packed, with a 'baby' waiting area. There was another person in front of us to check in and she probably waited at least 10 mins before being acknowledged. There were 3 gals behind the desk and one looked to be a manager. It's finally our turn to put our name on the list and again, no acknowledgment. I've worked in restaurants before and it's really not that hard to say, hi, be with you in a minute. Nothing for at least 10 mins, as I made eye contact with all the of them. Finally the gal that looked like a manager said, have you been helped?! Well, we've been standing in the same space as you for 10+ mins, so no. It was off-putting to say the least. We get seated after about 15-20 mins, not a bad wait. The outdoor area is very cute and inviting so we waited out there. There outdoor area is also half of their seating, I'm not sure what they'll do in the winter, as this will cut half of their business. Anyways, our server comes, he is very friendly and recommended we try the chicken or their signature burger. I get the burger and my boyfriend got the chicken with Mac and Cheese. The bun was a bit over cooked but not terrible. I go to squeeze the ketchup and it's very chunky, almost like salsa but with a paste-like consistency. We asked the table next to us and they said their ketchup was normal and gave us there bottle. The server said they make their own (cool concept) and it must not be 'ready' yet. The fries didn't have a lot of seasoning but were good. The chicken was great though! My boyfriend loved the Mac and cheese but I didn't feel it had any flavor and not enough cheese. The rest of our experience was good. A week later my sister came into town so I took her there to check it out, as I've watched this place go up (living in the area) so has she so she was excited. Walking in our experience was much different than the first. The gals behind the desk said hello right away. I decided to switch up my burger and get mushroom, Swiss and she got a double burger with the Mac and cheese. She loved her burger but thought the Mac had no flavor. My burger didn't have much taste, other than my toppings. I felt I had to smother it in ketchup, which I had hoped for a Bru Burger kind of ketchup, (besides the point) yum! My sister felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality of food and I agree. Will I be back? Probably, it's right by me. It's nice to have another restaurant in the area so I hope they continue to do well! read more

I was SO excited to try this new restaurant, but I was disappointed in the quality of our food. Our burgers were dripping excessively with grease and didn't have a great flavor. That being said, the sriracha broccoli salad was delicious and our strawberry milkshake was also amazing. read more

Looks can be deceiving. Visited Baby's for the first time this week after a great deal of hype on yelp and was excited to try their burger. When you have such a limited menu one would assume everything must be good. From my experience this was not the case. I got a triple burger with the garden, ketchup, mayo, mustard pretty standard. I asked for no cheese (something my waiter did not write down) but cheese was added none the less. Pretty standard toppings but the burger it's self was overdone and under seasoned and the bun was dry. When you pay upwards of 14 dollars for a burger you expect it to be decent honestly it was on par with or maybe bellow a steak and shake burger. The fries were fine but for 4 dollars it was a pretty small portion and they were again not much if any better than fast food. Chocolate shake was good but that was pretty much the only redeeming quality. read more

I ordered a take out veggie burger with mango chutney, lettuce, tomato, and vegan cheese. It was prepared quickly but that is the only positive thing I can say about the experience. The patty was as flavorful as chalk. The mango chutney was OK, in fact it was the only thing that provided any flavor because the vegan cheese was bland as well. All this for the ridiculous price of $10. Definitely will not be back. read more

Outstanding food. Outstanding servers and very comfortable. Great outside dining space.

Amazing venue, staff, and food. A real treat that not found anywhere else. I highly recommend this fresh, vibrant, and comfortable eatery.

I heard of great things about this place, and wanted to like it but it was not great at all! The waitress was nice, but when we asked for straws she brought them out with her bare hands (she could have least grabbed them with a napkin like she did for the table next to us)! The fries were trash, the burgers weren't great, and the ketchup is in house ketchup and tasted terrible. They should at least have Heinz or something on hand for people who do not like the in house ketchup! I would not recommend this place! It is super cute inside, but if you want good food don't go here! read more

I loved the cheeseburger with carmalized onions and I added gouda. The boozy milkshake and thin fries topped it off. Not a fan of the white bbq sauce so I am glad I got it on the side. My husband did not like the hamburger seasoning and was not impressed. The check came to over $40 and I gave a 20% tip. I did not notice prices on the menu OMG for 2 burgers and drinks over $50 is a bit much for me to want to return unless I have money to burn. read more

I'd heard awesome things and really wanted to love it, but I was disappointed. The restaurant is SO CUTE and has a really enjoyable patio space. Our server was super friendly and just attentive enough. The food is where it fell a little short. The veggie burger was room temperature and the texture was just ok. I ended up picking the delicious toppings off the second half of it. Fries were alright, nothing special. Where I really felt let down was the boozy milkshake. The alcohol taste was so strong that it completely overshadowed any other flavors. I was only able to drink a third of it. Didn't realize it was double the price for a boozy one (my mistake) and knowing what it was like, I wouldn't pay $12 for it again. Maybe I got an extra strong one? My friends who got regular milkshakes said they were really good. For a $30 meal once you added tip, I didn't feel like what I got was totally worth it. I'd be willing to come back and try the chicken to see if that's any better (it looked delicious when it got delivered to a nearby table). read more

Glad to see a cute place in the 22nd & Talbot neighborhood. Ate there early this week to try it out as I planned to have a group go there yesterday. During first trip the onion rings of my table mate were way over cooked. Breaded tenderloin was very good (he said) as were the fish and fries and my chocolate milk shake was small but awesome. At last nights outing with our group, though large which they knew and expected, shakes and sodas were delivered but it took forever for just our waters to get to all at the tables. Onion rings at my table were more over cooked than on previous visit but the ones at the adjacent table looked perfect. Two guests' smash burgers were charred black and totally over done. My food was ok and I was not in charge of the other guests making comments to the server. I am unaware if they did or not. Staff was pleasant both times, but the consistency from the kitchen seemed to be a problem, at least this week. Give them a try, just be aware. They do have a great outdoor space also and had nice music on Thursday on the outside. read more

Unless you are looking for chuck e cheeses masquerading as a diner, you might want to look elsewhere. Walked in the front to speak to the hostess and she could not even look me in the eye. If I had not said hello, she would never have acknowledged me. Then she spoke to me in a hushed tone like I was in church. With the kids running and screaming I could barely hear a thing. After too much time trying to get on the list for a table outdoors, we went to the bar. After deciding what we wanted, the bartender poured our drink. We ordered a bourbon neat. I did not watch him pour it but turned in time to see him place the bottle back on the shelf. It was not the bourbon I asked for. When I pointed it out, he apologized and said he would get me the correct brand. He then opened the bottle he had already poured and proceeded to pour the bourbon from my glass back into the bottle. Wow! Never seen that before. After waiting and pointing out to the staff that there were multiple tables open that could accommodate us, we were finally seated. The best part of our experience showed up! Our server Erin. Thank you for being a bright spot on the evening. Although Erin was excellent, the food was mediocre and the children running around was not something we enjoyed. Neither was the homemade ketchup, though that may just be a personal taste preference. Regardless, after an underwhelming food experience, we paid and went home. Thank you Erin. I hope the rest of the place rises to your level. If/when it does, I might go back. Until then, I will find other establishments to eat at. read more

Kind of a mixed bag. The place is really cool looking. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The bar area is beautiful and has all of your favorite adult spirits. With such a limited menu, I was hoping for a bit more zing. I asked my server if I should do a single or double burger. She didn't hesitate to say double because the buns are so tall a single gets lost. OK. I also got a chocolate shake, (no malt option)...DUH you add malt powder to the shake....Ta-Dah. The burger and shake came out very quickly (too quickly). The burger was warmish, toppings were sparse and the bacon was the only flavor I could detect. The bun was tall, but had an odd texture...and didn't appear to be toasted. I knew half way thru the burger I was still going to be hungry, so I got some mac and cheese. Curly noodles with a creamy cheese sauce. Pretty good. The shake was very good. For $20+ before tip, I expect more. read more

We went on Friday night, September 27th so they have only been open a short time. The front desk was a little chaotic to even put our name in and they said it was a 30 minute wait and there were several empty tables inside and out, so that was a bit confusing? We found two seats at the bar and ate there. The strawberry milkshake was incredible as were the fries with the cheese sauce. The burgers were a bit dry and pretty smallish for the price. I had a single and my husband had a double and they were both dry. When I think of a smash burger, I compare to "Working Man's Friend" on the west side. Now that's a smashed burger with the almost burnt ends hanging outside of the bun! I'm thinking they have some kinks to work out so we'll come back again to give it another try. The staff was very super friendly and attentive, so that was a plus. Awesome decor and location so hoping the burgers will be up to par next time we visit. read more
