This place is a vibe! Absolutely stunning and intimate outdoor space with retractable roof and greenery that hides you away from the bustle of Washington Ave. The service was super attentive and worked as a team. I enjoyed the shepherds salad, and the mixed platter with pita. The pistachio was so so good as was the beets, hummus and tzatziki. For my main I enjoyed the grilled branzino.

In an effort to avoid the party crowd and eat somewhere a little more quiet, I found this place not too far away from the beach. From the outside, it doesn't look like there is outdoor dining. However, the outdoor seating is actually surrounded by walls of greenery and a clear view of the sky during good weather. During bad weather, they extend the retractable roof. Indoor seating is available as well. Upon entering, there are two sparkling water bottles in every open table. These are not complimentary. They do provide complimentary hummus and bread. I ended up ordering the Grilled Branzino (Mediterranean). It tasted delicious and you can add pepper and salt (in grinder) if desired. My meal tasted delicious although I did find a few bones in my fish. The overall ambiance was excellent with the decor, view of the night sky, music, and occasional singing. The only bad part was its closeness to a busy road. Just a note that a service fee is automatically added to your check. This would be an excellent place for dinner if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the beach crowd. I wouldn't mind coming back again.

I passed by this place so many times every time I come to Miami but never paid attention. But I ended up making reservations for a Sat nite for my next visit here and I was not disappointed at all! The oysters was so fresh and the perfect size. So delicious!! Then I got the ribeye cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection! The ambience was beautiful and we sat outside and it was a perfect night out. So many other stuff I want to try on their menu so I will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my meal and service at Kómma, but the menu was terribly overpriced. I ordered scallops, lemon potatoes, and one cocktail and walked out paying over $100. In most cases I want to enjoy not only the food but the ambiance and the character of a restaurant, but Kómma's flow was that of tables and chairs, nothing else. They have an outdoor seating area but it was cramped and narrow...to the point that the back of your chair would likely touch the person behind you when you got up to leave. I got the impression Kómma was trying to fit all of their tables outside. Kómma was conveniently located across the street from my hotel, The Goodtime Hotel, see my Yelp review. Overall I had a good experience at Kómma, but expected there to be more than just food for the price of the meal.

Was a little dissapointed with this restaurant as I had better expectations however I should have realized that is south beach which means touristy if you know what I mean. The restaurant atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, the outside seating is great as they have a retractable sunroof. Fridays and Saturdays does have a belly dancer which is great and fun. The drinks were okay presentation on the drinks was good , however for a simple drink the delivery time was quite long for a restaurant that was not busy whatsoever. Servers were still ok not sure if there was a language barrier or anything however they were not really friendly or helpful. Food was were things went south everyone in my party of 10 ordered very different things from the menu and everyone somehow managed to not like it to say the least the lamb chops were very dry , the salmon was delivered cold and nothing really stood out as far as the food. Unfortunately as beautiful as the place is I wouldn't come back for dinner here perhaps just for cocktails.

We loved the happy hour drinks and appetizers. We had two drinks each and they were both great. One drink was the Apersol and the other was Quite a pickle. We also had the pita and hummus platter as well the calamari. The calamari was the best I've had in Miami . Also the staff was very friendly and accommodating as soon as we walked in. So we definitely thought dinner would have been phenomenal since we started off so good. Well we were sadly disappointed with our dinner and took a long time to come. We ordered the whole grilled branzino and lemon potatoes with asparagus. The fish was dried out and not tasty. The lemon potatoes was slightly under cooked and the asparagus was overcooked. So I wouldn't recommend dinner but I would go back for the happy hour and appetizers.

Four stars for our wonderful server and the killer ambiance. The outdoor dining experience here is lovely and our server was so helpful and friendly. They even had belly dancers when we were there on a Friday! The food, however, is pretty eh, imo. Very few vegetarian options unless you want pasta. And everything is very pricey for the quality. I paid $15 for a dip and it didn't even come with pita. I was still hungry so ordered some $15 truffle fries. They vaguely reminded me of McDonald's fries. Don't get me wrong - I love McDonald's fries. But maybe not at this type of restaurant for this price. On the whole a fairly nice experience because of the setting. But you could certainly pay the same and enjoy better and more food elsewhere.

The little patio area that's sheltered by greenery with an automatic roof was a fantastic little recluse from the craziness of South Beach - which is funny because someone was getting arrested right outside the restaurant. We ordered a couple of appetizers, meat combo platter, and a shareable dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious, especially the meat platter and the dessert. Service was incredibly friendly and fast. Would definitely come back here again!

I can't say enough about how much I loved this restaurant! The location incredible especially if you're staying at the good time hotel. The service remarkable. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and warm! The ladies at the check in station took photos with enthusiasm for me. They didn't hesitate to make it fun. The food! OMG! The food! I couldn't decide what to order because everything looked incredible. I started with a greek salad. When I went to Greece I felt like pure sunshine was inside the veggies in the salad and here in Miami I had the same experience. I can tell everything was fresh. I followed with the salmon and opted for lemon potatoes. Oh goodness I danced eating each bite! Danced! So flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Well seasoned. Bright, fresh. Beautiful. The cocktail I had which is pictured I unfortunately can not remember the name but it has lychee and maybe you can show the photo if you want to try it. It was so so so good! I had a cocktail to start that came with a little magic moment (I won't ruin it for you! You must experience) and with my meal I had a refreshing crisp glass of white wine it was a Greek wine! Perfection. If I didn't have plans I would've stayed so much longer because the ambiance is so divine. This is ideal to eat alone (I did and felt totally comfortable), a group, a big group, a date, a business meeting-truly any occasion. I'm so glad I saw this restaurant. It's a must visit again for me! After all any chance I get to walk a red carpet into a Grecian paradise I'm taking it!

Tonight was definitely an off night for Kómma. Most of their staff was let go because of the weather. There was no bartender. Understaffed or no, they still managed to serve me a decent meal. The Keftedes platter was nothing to write home about but it did the job. In fact it was extremely greasy as if it had been dunked in tons of oil. Since this one dish turned out to be "heavy in the stomach" I didn't have room for more food or other dishes. I'd like to come back for their Greek salad or brunch at some point in time when they are fully staffed and at their best. A+ for Decor & Ambiance. Their chairs were extremely comfortable. That's a very welcome difference in restaurant design today.

Our family, party of 8 celebrated my son-in-law's birthday at this restaurant. We made reservations at around 4 for 8pm on a Saturday and all went smoothly. The beautifully decorated arched entrance is accessible from the street corner with hanging colorful mosaic lamps that transported us across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean Sea. The hostess asked if we preferred a rectangular or round table outside, and we chose the round in the middle of the outdoor space. The music was authentic, upbeat and set at a volume that was perfect to enjoy and not interfere with our conversations. The staff was welcoming, the appetizers were exquisite, the food tasty and the desserts divine. For the birthday boy, they added a sparkler which was impressive which was very nice. The restroom in need of a little tlc, is located a bit far from the outdoor sitting area which gave me a chance to take in the well planned interior and vibe. There were some guests seated at tables in the indoor bar area but for the most part it was empty. I assume it was intentional due to the current pandemic protocols. When it was time to pay, our server explained their credit card system was down. Our choices were to leave our cc info to have them run it through later or pay cash. The vibe of this place was amazing! The outdoor seating is perfect for the evening and plus they have live music playing which makes it so much more nicer. The service was good the server was great! She brought us our drink and for appetizer we had the hummus and it was really creamy smooth highly recommend it. For entrees we had shrimp pasta the shrimp was well done. This is my first time eating Mediterranean food in Miami Beach. I always hear about the food in this city is not good and is like fast food. Very true. I gave 2 stars for the owner to pay attention to food quality. The 2 stars is about the service which I believe some still complain about it but my experience is diff. I spent 130$ for mezzo and octopus platter with not sauce or marination for the octopus Flavor, and combo kebab for 2 people and it has lamb chop" no flavor", Lamb kebab, chicken kebab and ground beef kofta" middle flavor". Their hummus is disaster" it's like hummus from grocery store" I mean not blended well, not creamy or white color and no flavor" trust me. In restaurant business you should know how to make fantastic humus and it's about your restaurant's prestige. If you expensive then you should pay for the quality. I don't mind paying whatever price if the food quality deserve the price. On other side, they have beautiful set up outside. Great location and great patio for family, or loud people or kids. read more

Me and some friends were visiting from out of town and felt right at home at Babylon Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar. The atmosphere was beautiful which included incredible service and entertainment (belly dancer was going around the restaurant that night). We enjoyed multiple bottles of wine and the food hit every mark. After an unforgettable evening, we were treated to dessert on the house. I will absolutely go back the next time I'm in Miami. Not recommended for a quick meal. The vibe of the restaurant was very relaxed and seems designed to promote time with friends and family versus grab and go meals. read more

Came here for dinner tonight. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything from service to food was awesome. We ordered the lentil soup, the mixed grill platter, the lamb chops, the grilled vegetable platter, Turkish tea, and the baklava. It was very authentic which we liked. Beautiful setting with polite staff. Sea bass was very good. Zucchini pancake appetizer with taziki was good. That's as good as it gets. I was very surprised that a Mediterranean restaurant did not have pita bread, and served tortilla instead. What?!?! Seriously? They served a nice focaccia, and claimed it was pita? They served baba ganoush with tortillas? Hoping they can Google Mediterranean cuisine and figure it out. It was a very unpleasant experience, however ,to be fair the food is excellent unlike the service, it was horrible including but not limited to very slow service people with bad attitude especially Saturday and Sunday (07/25-07/26) morning waitresses were super rude . We spent 40 min waiting for someone to check on us or to serve us more tea ,more water or ask us whether we need something .unfortunately, they acted like they don't see us and after we asked the check the waitress came with the check circling the gratuities and crossing the tips line impliedly telling us we don't want your tips. We have complained to someone in the restaurant the first day we got that poor service his answer was very weird he asked us whether we talked Turkish or English because he said Turkish waitresses don't like to deal with Turkish customers especially when they speak English . My fiancé is not Turkish and i had to speak English so she can understand what I am ordering WHAT A PREJUDICE!!! So ,after complaining we were expecting that the waitresses will reconsider their behavior but THEY ACTED WORSE . A little advice :if you don't want to deal with Turkish people don't work in a Turkish restaurant. read more

I won't change my thoughts on the place...just gorgeous. Now, food wise, will not recommended nor go back. Salad was as if eating olive oil, "pita bread" took forever to come out. Great place for lunch! We really enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio, plenty of shade and a few fans kept it very pleasant in the Florida sun. Such a great dining experience! Nice vibe outside. Belly dancers are really fun, unique and a nice spice of entertainment. However the food was super bland. I'm not picky with my food and it takes a lot to disappoint me as I'm pretty open to trying different foods and cooking styles, but this had no flavor what so ever. I saw some reviews that the food was good, so perhaps the chef wasn't on par when I went. The server was nice but not very attentive. This place was average. Wouldn't go again unless I had to. read more

Had dinner her last night! All I can say is amazing. It's my third time back and the food never ceases to amaze me! We started off with the goats milk to get into the Turkish spirit! We started off with hummus, tzatziki, eggplant and ezme for our appetizer! Each was equally delicious! Then we shared he mixed grill platter which had a combination of different meats- delicious!! For dessert we had baklava, which just melted in your mouth! Our server was Ilker, who was fantastic! He was very charismatic and extremely attentive! I can't wait to go back the next time! The restaurant has fairly good food and a nice outdoor patio. The servers are polite and prompt. However, watch your bill! Look carefully at the ACTUAL receipt. They add an 18% service charge and then ask for an additional 18% tip on the credit card receipt. If you don't watch it, you'll be paying 36% on your food. We should always tip well for great service, but these sly moves make me disappointed. read more

Do NOT go for their Sunday brunch because it's nothing but stale food from the rest of the week all piled up to fool people and possibly give a food poisoning. It's not worth any money at all, forget $29 per person. When this wasn't enough to upset our last day in Miami, the valet chargers us $12 (way higher than every other restaurant). They parked the car right across the street in a public parking. That's absolutely outrageous. Perhaps if we'd gone some other day we could have had a better time, but definitely not worth a second visit for us. read more

I have to say that recently this restaurant has become a let down. The prices have definitely gone up and the menu selection has gotten worse. How does a turkish restaurant not serve lamb kabob, are you kidding me? Generally, the food lacked the same delicious taste as before, i think they either are cutting more corners or the ownership has changed. The service was decent, but it was unfathomable to see them charge around $10 for hardly any bulgur as a side. They're greedily asking money expected from a very fancy restaurant, but to be blunt, the quality does not match up to the price, even in spite of inflation. I want to hope they'll return to form, since it used to be a regular spot for me and my family, but it doesn't seem so likely. read more

I think this place has changed ownership. The food is still good...service is a little bit better than what you expect on south beach. What wasn't fine was the fact that the manager refused to honor my groupon even though they are supposed to still honor the value I paid which NEVER EXPIRES. I used to recommend this place all the time...you can see my previous review...but I won't anymore. And of course I will never go back. So because you are so small minded(the customer isn't always right , but the customer is the customer until they don't ever return)...you cut off your nose to spite your face. This is why restaurants and small businesses don't last in this city...horrible customer service. It's a shame. read more

Awesome Meal. The staff is extremely friendly. The decor of the restaurant is inviting. The patio is a great space that really transports you to another space not on Washington Ave in Miami Beach. Interesting wine list with various and accessible price points. Several Turkish, Greek, Israeli and Kosher options. The food was so good. During a recent visit to Miami, we decided to try Babylon Turkish Restaurant because we read so many good reviews. It definitely met our expectations. The food, service, and overall ambiance were excellent. Because we were a party of four, we decided to share four appetizers: saksuka eggplant, cacik tzatziki (a strained type of yogurt with olive oil & herbs), humus (of course!), and ezme (a mix of parsley, tomatoes, onions, and other spices). I preferred the cacik tzatziki, but my boyfriend and the other couple liked the saksuka eggplant the best. For entrees, I had the tavuk sis chicken shish, my girlfriend had the adana (lamb) kebab, and the guys both ordered the izgara kofte, which are a type of meat ball made with lamb and beef. For dessert, we all share orders of baklava, kadayif (a pistachio filled shredded pastry covered in syrup), and sutlac (a baked rice pudding). We liked them all, but we agreed that the kadayif was a little TOO sweet for our tastes. I was at babylon recently and I must say this is a jewel on the beach. From my arrival to depature the service was excellent. I was greeted warmly when I enter the restuarant. Everyone worked as a team to take care of me. I was not just helped by one person alone or I had to wait until my waiter is free from helping someone else. Juan and Umit was excellent oncluding others. Juan was very attentive , he anticipate my needs, he suggest things on the menu and he also very knowledgable about the menu and meals . Juan was very responsive ,efficient and courteous . He also follows up with you to make sure that you have everything you need. 2.5 stars! The outdoor seating is lovely. On a nice evening I could sit here and order a few drinks. Skip the food, all of it. For serving size it's very pricey but worse of all it's completely tasteless. I grew up in NY eating this type of food very regularly and know what the flavors of all these dishes are like, and everything I tasted at Babylon was lackluster. We had the mezze platter on which every item was perfectly bleh and then we had the grilled halloumi which was as inspiring as the mezze platter. I had an Adana kebab and my wife ordered the salmon (not a great choice at a Mediterranean restaurant to begin with) we both had a couple of bites of our entrees and left the rest behind, not even worth taking in a to go bag. Service was a slow but better than I expected. I think the waiter may have been new. The owner is telling the personal to keep Muslims and Black people away, which is ridiculous especially when you're running a Mediteranian business. Racism/Discrimination at it's best! They even tell dark skinned people right at the door that they don't serve Helal food, to keep them from entering in the first place. The food is ridiculously overpriced while you can eat actual authentic Mediterranean food a couple of blocks down for way less and get better service. The kitchen is dirty and the personal is rinsing off the glasses only with water and putting them back for use. This is something the health department should look into especially in times like these while this Covid-19 pandemic is going on. My boyfriend and I have dined here several times, and we've brought friends here, too. It's not cheap and some of the dishes take a while to prepare, but you definitely feel rewarded both for your money and your patience. The octopus casserole takes a long time to cook, but it's delicious. My boyfriend and I both like the mixed platter of chicken, lamb, and beef, too. Among other appetizers, this restaurant allows you to order calamari either grilled or fried, which I really appreciate. You also can get fried eggplant. For dessert, I highly recommend the baklava. Great service, especially Ilker, who was funny, welcoming and gave us a fidget spinner! ;) Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Good entertainment- there is a great belly dancer going from table to table, and sometimes makes you part of the show! Traditional Turkish music playing while you eat. Bathrooms are clean enough. I have been to many Mediterranean restaurants in south Florida. Babylon is by far the best. Every morsel of food was expertly prepared and presented. Great spices, sauces, breads, and dips. Delicious lamb. I went to this restaurant with a wonderful Turkish friend, who was every bit as impressed as I was! Will DEFINITELY be back. Wish I could give Babylon more than 5 Stars. read more

It was my first time here with my wife. Seating was very nice, especially the outside area. the place is nice and clean . their staff was so much friendly. we ordered, so many dishes but The Adana Kabab, Cigar Rolls was so delicious. i could park my car in the street but I used instapark for parking my car. their service and rates also good read more

My first time coming to Miami Beach and I stopped by in this restaurant. Amazing service! Starting from Serbian bartender that made me best Espresso Martini to all the servers that took care of me and my friend when we set down to eat. I had mixed grilled meat and my friend Beyti.
