Also decent fries (as long as they're hot). The lemonade (which is supposed to be famous or something) was a little disappointing. Was billed as "frozen lemonade" but was just lemonade poured over crushed ice. That would be somewhat forgivable except it lacked the desired tarrtness of a good lemonade. Mostly sugar water that smelled somewhat as lemon. They do have a vast menu reminiscent somewhat of King's Gyros. Something for everyone. read more

So I am from Florida, and Baba's, no matter which location, has to be my very first stop when I touchdown in Fort Wayne now I must say the chicken wings has gotten pretty small because they switch from the regular chicken wings to the party size chicken wings, which I feel is their biggest mistake but the flavor baby is off the chain. And because they switched to the party-size chicken wings, the chicken is fried harder and crispy. They need to switch back to the regular chicken wings and just update prices or something because baby those party size got them deducted one star. Oh yeah and they frozen lemonade is the bomb. i'm a regular customer at Baba's and I've always found the wings and fries to be nearly perfect. However, today I was disappointed. The fries were overcooked; very hard and too crispy. The wings had a lot of thick black veins; very unappealing to the eye. So I spent most of my time picking the wings apart, pulling the black veins off. Baba just visited my house and I am a happy lady. After trying a late night spread of their gyro cheeseburger, crispy philly mix, chicken tacos, fried mushrooms, and French fries I have to say, I was in no way disappointed. I plan to try their Chicago style beef hot dogs and the crispy gyro in the near future. The exciting menu options and filling entrees make me so thankful I spent my money here. It's so hard to find a good Philly if you're not at a sporting event. Let me tell you all, this is it!!! The hoagie is perfectly toasted, meat is super tender, cheese is melted, veggies are sautéed oh so perfectly. Balancing these ingredients without making it too salty is hard to do, and this was perfect. NO DELI MEAT HERE FOLKS!! This is actual shaved steak and it's so tasty. The person asked me if I wanted lemon pepper seasoning on my fries which I've never tried before. I don't think I'll ever eat fries without it anymore. This is a cool place just to grab a bite to eat . They are famous for the fried chicken with lemon pepper. The Italian ice style lemonade is really good too and they have several flavors. Recently I came here to get a six wing which is just 6 Wings and fries. The wings are super tiny and I don't remember them being this small when I came months ago. Above all the food is okay . Exactly what is going on here?? When they first came to town, everything was made fresh, served piping hot, and all of the Middle Eastern employees were so polite and friendly. There used to be a long line of cars in the drive through, to the point that it was quicker to go inside. And then things deteriorated. The last two times I ordered chicken wings they were fried to the point of being nearly burnt. Obviously they were reheated from earlier, and they were tough and dry. I've not ordered them since. That brings me to today's misadventure. I pulled up and there was literally no customers there, even though it was lunchtime. The girl who took my order asked me if my order was complete, and it was. She never told me to pull forward, she just left me hanging. I drove to the window and waited a solid ten minutes for someone to even take my money, which was cash since they now have a 4% surcharge on all debit or credit cards. The girl gave me over $3 in quarters because it was all she had. She never asked if I wanted lemon pepper, like they used to do, and when I got home there was no tartar in my dinner. The catfish was excellent, and the fries were hot and crisp--which is the only reason this review got an extra star. I'm very disappointed in this place because it used to be so good, but I'm not planning on returning to this location again. Charging people a surcharge for using plastic is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. We live in a plastic economy, people! That is the price for having a business! And if today's experience was an expression of what customer service now looks like, I'd advise another line of work. There's no place in my world for apathetic service. read more

I paid for a 20 piece Buffalo and Plain wing dinner with fries and the ordered was messed up. They gave double Buffalo and when I went back and asked to correct, the lady at the front desk and the man making the food were so nasty about it. Yelling and complaining because they messed up MY order. So to "teach me a lesson" after I showed her she gave me the wrong thing, she took the box of food, exchanged one side of Buffalo with plain wings and gave it back with only 12 wings. When I originally paid for 20 WINGS. I didn't see that she only gave me 12 wings until getting home and they were closed by then. So be ware if going here, check the count of your food. Keep calm it's fish fry Friday!!! Yes I am really obsessed about the fried catfish with lemon pepper salt over it must say yummy It's one of the good options for the late lazy weekend food. The fish is seasoned, fried to perfection and it's really juicy and fresh in the mouth. My husband has ordered philly steak, it was delicious as he just started hopping on it without saying or looking anywhere. But when we ordered again for the third time I decided to try out the different variety of fish so I ordered whitening fish which kinda was disappointed for me. For some reason it had bones in it and skin was a little too much crispy for my taste. This place is offering delivery during the Covid outbreak. I'm so glad. Of course nothing beats the in person experience, but delivery is the best second option right now. The portions of food is enjoyable and satisfying. I know catfish can be really hit or miss depending on how it's cooked, and this was a big miss! Tastes like I'm eating pond water, and there were huge bones all throughout. Which I would have been fine with HAD I KNOWN. No where on the menu does it mention that the fish isn't de-boned neither did the employee say anything.
