Went there for mine my husband's first date night in way to long. We went on the earlier side of dinner but the service was superb the meal was amazing. We had the avocado rolls, tom yum soup (my absolute favorite) and chicken pad Thai. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

On my way home from church, I searched Yelp for Thai restaurants in the area. Yelp gps took me to this place and I'm glad to have found it. I was pleasantly surprised they offer lunch special on weekends - it was the best choice for me as I was dining alone. I got the lunch special plate of grilled chicken with peanut sauce over brown rice, veggies and salad. Such a generous delicious serving. I would have preferred the peanut sauce served on the side but I failed to ask. The tangy & sweet salad compliments the chicken with peanut sauce very well. Their Thai iced tea wasn't too sweet which is perfect. I got the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert. Bananas rolled in brown sugar served with a bit of honey. So crunchy! Perfect dessert for me as I love fried bananas! Ice cream was so creamy. Take note coconut ice cream doesn't have a strong taste, it's a bit bland if you're used to American ice cream. Serving is good for 2 or 3 people. The place is divided into two sections. It's nice and clean inside. Service is prompt and friendly. Very warm Asian ladies providing service with a smile. I'll be back!

Our go-to Thai takout whenever in Orinda! Baan Thai is a classic staple, always fast and reliable and delicious. I'm a fan of their Pad See Ew, which is always sauteed freshly with a more generous serving of vegetables and tofu than other locations. Their green and yellow curries are my other regular orders. Love the eggplant doused in their creamy green curry, and the takeout sizes are quite large! One of my favorite sides here is actually their peanut sauce - while it comes with the Praram, it is divine in it's own right and definitely worth the order to add to anything you're eating from Baan or elsewhere!

I gave Imm Thai another try, tried Thai Table, and even Glom Thai (which replaced Sistory), but none of them had the same quality or flavors I had been missing. I also loved Banana Leaf in El Cerrito before it closed, so I figured those days were over. Then I found out the owners of Sistory had opened Saneh Bangkok in Pleasant Hill, so we decided to celebrate my aunt's birthday there. Wow, it exceeded all of our expectations. Every single dish was outstanding, and honestly, even better than I remembered from Sistory. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Red Curry, Spring Rolls, and the fried chicken with roti and Massaman curry. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor. The noodles had that authentic wok flavor I'd been searching for, the curry was rich and delicious, and the roti with Massaman curry was absolutely incredible. Flavors were on the muted side of the spectrum. The lychee salad was quite nice as it had a slight kick to it. Surprisingly, there were a few gigantic prawns as part of this salad! The fried vegetarian egg rolls were decent and came with a dipping sauce. The pork satay was quite Americanized as the pork was on the leaner side and cooked towards a well done. The satay sauce was quite muted too. The crab fried rice was tasty and featured a generous amount of crab on top. Favorites included the short rib which was gigantic and super tender. The curry was decent too. This came with a side of jasmine rice. Opted for the sweet roti along with the mango sticky rice. Both were tasty. The mangoes were ripe and the sticky rice was quite tasty with the condensed milk. ~$60/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.
