I absolutely love this place! It's really clean. Every time I'm there they've been playing good music quietly and have those social media cooking videos on the TVs, so it's a relaxing environment. I'm satisfied with the way my nails look after the service. My only small complaint is that when they do my finger nails, sometimes I wish they would get a little closer to my nail bed. It makes them look like they grow out faster because they already start with a gap that's around 1 millimeter (pictured). That said, the prices are reasonable, so I don't mind going back for refills a day or two sooner. read more

I had my dip done to my nails 2 weeks ago. I've been in 3 times because the dip has literally popped off my entire nail. The first time I showed concerns on other nails and they assured me that a new top coat would fix it. 2 days later I was in for another finger. Here it is 3 days later and I have lost an entire nail of dip on another finger. I've NEVER had this happen before. A nail tech not associated with this place told me its from my nail not being prepped good enough. Also, I've never had anyone CUT dip off my nails before either! I sent pictures and tipsy nails ( same owners) had me come in majing me believe my nails would be redone at n/c. She told me I would have needed to ask for my nails to be redone with the first week-I DID!!! I was told after new top coat would fix the problem! The owner then proceeded to tell me if they redid my nails, I would have to pay 60%. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Just be aware that the techs clearly can not do nails at this place. Kathy at Tipsy does a great job, but because of how this all played out, I will not return to either establishment. Reviews have several complaints of this...the owners need to take a look into their techs abilities and stop ripping people off. $52 for dip popping off in 4 days in unacceptable. read more

I am usually very understanding and still tipped well, but the obvious talking about my friend, myself, and another customer was like mean teenagers in a movie. My pedicure tech got my hot towel out, towels for 3 other customers, refilled the towel heater, and by the time she returned, my towel was ice cold. Then, while drying my toes a different tech came by and told me my nails were dry, a full 10 min before my timer was up. It felt like they were trying to rush us out. I ruined them while doing my next errand! These women that we worked with were so rude, and condescending without even having to say anything. Their attitude was enough to put us off of the entire experience. They seem to think that because the interior is decorated fancy, it gives them the right to treat people any kind of way. We arrived a few minutes before 3 and received a friendly welcoming. The whole staff was very friendly and efficient! Those doing our pedicures and nails took their time and the outcome was amazing! Absolutely love B Nails. I've been going regularly for the last six months. I get a dip manicure and the occasional pedicure. I typically have Mia and she does an awesome job. You can schedule appointments by phone, Facebook messenger, and they accept walk ins. The salon is new and clean. Services offered are comparable to other salons in town. Not overpriced at all. They have large color selections and have many different manicure options. They have good sanitary practices and care about the quality of services offered. Had an appointment at 3 pm on a Saturday, I arrived a few minutes prior and was expecting await like you experience at other salons, however I was greeted right away and was told they were preparing my station for my pedicure. I was invited to select my color. I was highly impressed with the amount of shellac colors they have! The pedicure chairs were some of the best I've encountered! The different massage options was just what my tired back needed! The technician offered a drink, was pleased to hear wine was an option!! I was informed they always try and offer a drink but if they fail to do so, you can always ask! The Technician took her time and made the pedicure so relaxing and enjoyable! Next I moved on to the front for my manicure! Again I couldn't believe the amount of powder dipped color options they have! I received one of the best dips I've ever gotten! The nails are so smooth and shiny! Better yet the price as the register matched exactly what I assumed based on their prices posted. (Honestly first time this was the case here in Des Moines) $44 for Pedicure and $42 for dipping & Manicure! Will definitely be back!! I got the worst dip manicure I've ever had here. My technician practically tore my old dip off and slapped new on in 45 minutes. They used old tools on me that were not disinfected. I had the best experience here this weekend! My mother, partner, and I went to get manicures in preparation for our wedding. We were greeted as soon as we entered, and even though we were early for our appointment we were immediately directed to choose our nail colors, and a nail technician almost immediately went to work on my nails. They found out it was our wedding the day after, and upgraded me to shellac for free. The entire time the technicians were kind and professional, and all of us got the exact nails we wanted. Used nails files are the norm & I suspect nail trimmers are not sanitized between clients because they take them out unsealed sanitizer packets that have clearly seen multiple uses. First time going to B Nails & I am very satisfied with my Shellac manicure! Im newer to the area so I've been trying new places. I haven't been to any nail salon a second time, but I will be returning to B's when I need my nails done again because I'm anxious to find out if the pedicure is as good as the manicure. What stood out about this salon is the entire staff was super friendly & helpful, the salon itself is a very nice space... everything is nice and new and it's a very comfortable/relaxing atmosphere. They have the largest selection of gel & dip colors I've ever seen. The nail technician did an amazing job and made sure I was happy with everything that she did and fixed/adjusted anything I asked with no problem! I have gone here 5 times. Been pretty great in general. The time before last we tried to walk in for 2 pedicures. Said they couldn't accommodate us with only 3 customers in the store. Said come back in 30 minutes, so we did and service was great. Made a reservation this last time considering the previous time. In all honestly, we were 20 minutes late, not thinking it'd be a big deal. We showed up and said we could no longer have our reservation because they had more at 4:30. Who gets pedicures done in 30 minutes??!!! They clearly need more help. Also, everywhere else I get my toes and nails done they offer complimentary wine... not here.
