My schedule now has me in the Urbandale area about of the time so I decided it was time to find a nail place to use while I am here and when I make the eventual move to the area. After reading the YELP reviews, this was my first choice and I am so glad I visited!! I had a beautiful pedicure, complete with paraffin treatment and had my dipped nails filled. Both services were done at the same time while I was in the pedi chair so I was in and out within about 1 1/2 hours, which is a vast improvement to the service I am accustomed to. It' snowing outside, slushy, heavy snow boots and other outer gear makes you want to stay in and not venture out, but my feet and nails needed some attention. While soaking, I waited for the attendant. The water went from hot to warm. I asked for 190 but they were out and I switched my color and then I get a novice who has just been at the shop five days who started my pedicure. After which I will get my nails done -- this should be and adventure. There are a plethora of special soakings you can choose. I chose the $$-- Green Tea Honey -- top of the line -- to revive my tied feet and legs. The time was longer than most pedicures due to the extra steps. The attendant wanted to do both at the same time, but I am superstitious with two people working on me at the same time -- plus I want the benefit of attention to detail rather than uncomfortable twist and turns due to my positioning in the pedicure chair -- so I asked her to wait until the pedicure service was finished. Next to the nails. I'll check back when this process starts. The one issue I do have when one uses another language in your presents to others and you may not know what is being said, whether positive or negative . As I continue to support local, I am here for my return visit to Luxury nails. I am placed in a soaking position for a 11:30am appointment--which is okay as long as the water does not turn cold. Two others arrive for a pedicure, seem to be regulars even though I was here first. I'll continue after my service with my review. Pedicure complete at 1:25PM now on to the French Dip for my nails. Complete at 2:15PM. The young man did an excellent job. The only recommendation is to be mindful of the six foot distancing when getting a manicure or even a pedicure which will require creative booking beyond a guesstimate of how long a service might take. In review of the governor's recommendations all seem to be in place except for my gentle reminder of spacing me during my manicure. None the less based on their safety measures I will raise the rating for a job well done! If you are worried about safety measures, sanitation and all the other hidden gems of COVID--19, this would be a great place to try--but make an appointment and make sure you allow enough time on your schedule. read more

I was looking for something that I could easily go online to schedule an appointment and that I knew the prices. This ticked both boxes which is why I chose this place over others in the area. I have naturally long nails and I just wanted a regular manicure where they weren't cut off. I got what I wanted and it was very reasonably priced. Worst pedicure I've ever paid for. Honestly they are robbing people $50 for not being asked what I wanted and it was a 25 minute service! Honestly so pissed off! They asked if everything was good and I said no! They didn't care and ran my card for $48 and handed by card back and that was it!!! Poor customer service! Absolutely the VERY worst pedicure I have ever had! No scrubbing, a very quick one scratch on heels with pumice stone. No hot towels, hot rocks or anything besides a quick wash I could have done at home. Trimmed toe nails, and mangled my first cuticle so bad I asked them to stop and not touch the rest of my cuticles once there was blood running down my toenail. Just to start, if I could score -5 stars or even lower, GLADLY I would. I'm disgusted with the service starting from my entering the salon, to the service I received, then to paying the bill. I called ahead and gave them the amount I had budgeted to spend and told them what I'd like done which was an eyebrow wax and simple shorter nails with black tips. I'm a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding this weekend so this was important. They told me to come in, and I reminded the man at the register when I arrived of how much I had to spend and what I wanted done. I was rushed to the table and met who I was working with. She was mildly pleasant and I chalked it up to a language barrier so I let her do her thing. She's quickly moving through my nails and the man comes by swinging his hands dismissively telling her something that got her moving more quickly on my nails. Then the woman started to paint my whole nail black. When I reminded her what I wanted, a lady behind me tried to assure me the woman helping me was doing what I asked. Obviously confused they spoke and eventually she wiped the paint from my nails then continued with black tips. Super quickly she got through my nails, then led me back to wax my eyebrows....she took out a whole chunk of my eyebrow ‍. I'm MORTIFIED. I went to pay my bill and it was $12 more than we discussed without tip , and suddenly the man couldn't speak English... I ended up paying OVER $80 for the services I got. Enter this salon at your own risk. I now have more expenses to add to my list for my sisters big day. I won't be returning and I won't be referring this business to ANYONE. My daughter and I stopped in to get our nails done. I needed my previous dip set soaked off and redone and my daughter had an acrylic set that she wanted filled. The woman soaking off my nails tried twice to drill the dip powder off. I asked her not to and to let them soak. Once they were done soaking, she asked what shape I wanted. I told her "the same shape as they are, but shorter. She filed so much off of three of my nails that I couldn't have the square oval shape. I asked her to finish soaking off my nails, I would pay for them to be removed, and I was leaving. After about 3 people came over to argue with my daughter, they said they had to soak off her entire set of nails including the tips because they claimed it was dip. It wasn't. Not only did it take an hour to soak her nails off (because they were acrylic!) but they drilled into her nails so badly she has hardly any nail bed left. They kept begging us to let them do our nails and I couldn't go through with it. While I would have paid them for removing our nails, the man wouldn't allow me to. Another woman was so upset by what they were doing with her nails that she asked them to finish what they were doing so she could pay and leave. The place is awful and I do not recommend it to anyone who cares about their nails. read more

An absolutely top notch nail salon. For my daughters wedding in May, I mentioned to my mom wishing I'd gotten my nails done. My mother (despite being from out of town) discovered this place on Yelp, exchanged texts with the owner and got us in. Even around a crazy schedule of wedding errands and activities. The spa pedicures were wonderful and lasted a month easily but the dip powder nails were and are phenomenal. Their quality and service is superior. I get my nails done regularly and not only do they look amazing but they are strong and do not chip or lift. read more

Long post to follow: This makes me so sad to have to do... i have been a loyal customer for about 2 years now. I have gotten my eyelashes done there, my eyebrows and nails. I brag about how fantastic it is and how I finally found "MY" place. Well sadly that has ended. Two days before my wedding I went in with my girls to get all pampered. My eyelashes took over an hour which isn't unusual but she kept leaving to do one her things. When I came out half the girls were almost done, they sat me by myself and not with everyone. They waited to do my nails last so I sat with remover on my dip for an hour which cause my skin to begin to peel off. After that they proceeded to tell us it's extra to shape and to do glitter that has NEVER been a thing since I've been going there. My eyelashes were put on so thick I had to rip them off the next day so it was a waste of money. We paid and my card got declined so I ran next door to get cash and got asked when I came back "why exactly was your card declined" not sure why that's anyone's business.... we paid and when I turned around they were shoving coats in our faces and herding us out the door when they were open for another hour. I am so sad to have to write this and i will be discontinuing my service here. I gave 2 stars to be generous... read more

Everyone looks at me as if I'm crazy to drive from Norwalk to Waukee every couple of weeks for manicures, pedicures and lashes. YES LASHES! Stacy and her crew are amazing that's why! When you find someone who listens to your wants, customizes your services to fit those wants, is easy to schedule appointments with...you travel a mere 20 minutes to stay there. The prices are right and I love the pampering and attention to detail. TBH, I originally went for the lashes (they were recommended to me). I stayed for all. First time I went was last year or earlier this year. My friend and I called fairly last minute to see if they could get us in that day for a pedicure and dipping. To our surprise they were more than willing! They did a great job and the employees were great to talk to. Fast forward to a month or two later and we had made another appointment because my friends usual wasn't open. Again we were welcomed and had no issues with an appointment. We both got a pedicure and dip powder. We were asked what nail shape we want and both said coffin, initially it seemed like no-one understood what we meant which was a little troublesome but eventually it got worked out and they looked great. The last time we went we scheduled an appointment ahead of time online and 15 minutes before our appointment when we were headed there we were called and told we can come in early if we were able to. We were already headed there so it worked out perfectly. This rime the experience was not as good. We had dip powder from before so we had to have it soak off, the acetone must have been left on too long or something but it started burning like crazy. We told then and it was removed which helped some. While we got our nails done one employee repeatedly shut his eyes while doing my friends nails as though he was falling asleep. My nails were finished first and the person doing mine practically forced the other person away and finished up my friends nails (maybe he was taking too long?). This experience has made me a little weary of going back, however I refuse to mark it off completely. P.s. The dip powder color selection is AMAZING! My daughter wanted to get a full set put on. We live in the area and thought we would try something closer to home then our usual place. We walked in and asked for a full set, the lady asked if we wanted gel or dipped. We said neither we wanted acrylic. She said they don't last long, you should get either gel or dipped. We have gotten our nails done many times and know what the difference of all three are. I asked for the prices of them and she said acrylic was $35, gel $40, and dipped was $50. After talking with my daughter, and feeling pressured into it, we agreed to do gel for only $5 more. For the shape they charge you an additional $5 if you want coffin shape versus square or round, which my daughter wanted. So we went to go pay and was charged $58.30. I said it should be $45 plus tax not $55, they said no i must have misunderstood, gel was $50. I even brought up their website which clearly shows gel is $40. It was not a dip and it was not a gel French, it was one solid color. They were not budging from the price. They ripped me off $10. It could of been worse, but the service was spotty and my daughter and I both know what we were originally told. We will not be going back. I would rather drive a bit further for a better experience. read more
