Decided to I wanted to give OMG nails a try and I instantly regretted it. Upon arrival I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. One of the technicians said something to another one who proceeded to stare at me and laugh. I'm not sure what was funny or what they were even saying but I ultimately decided to leave after one of the nail techs sat down in front of me, still making comments to the other then took her cart and left. I came in for a simple pedicure. The initial prep was done well they were thorough with cleaning and removing buildup. However, I wasn't asked if I wanted my toenails clipped, which I did want. When I mentioned it, instead of clipping them, they were quickly filed, and it felt very rushed with little attention to detail. When it came time to apply the polish, I asked for white. The application was very messy, with polish getting onto my cuticles, and once my toes came out of the UV lamp, the polish was visibly bumpy. I was told it was due to my toenails, but I explained that my nails are not naturally like that it was the polish. More polish was added, but the issue remained, so I said again that I wasn't happy with how it looked. At that point, the polish was removed and another staff member stepped in, but unfortunately, the service still felt rushed. There were still visible bumps, and I didn't feel like proper care or time was being taken. By then, I just wanted to leave. Overall, I didn't feel heard or understood during the service, and it felt like they were more focused on finishing quickly than providing quality work. This was disappointing, especially since this is a paid service and I expected better attention to detail. read more

Fancy but I ordered the $42 pedicure and paid $52--I don't know why--and the girl who served me didn't give me a massage or use the hot towels she was supposed to. read more

I've been coming here for a while, and my nail artist which is CLAUDIA never disappoints! She always knows exactly what suits me -- I don't even have to tell her what I want, and she somehow creates the perfect design every time. Her attention to detail, creativity, and care make each visit such a relaxing experience. I'm a very picky person when it comes to nails, and most salons in Des Moines don't carry the soft, elegant colors I love -- but Claudia has her own collection of shades that perfectly match my style which not everyone has the shades. It's always such a pleasure visiting her, and the results are consistently flawless. Truly worth it every time! read more

It has been 10 days since my pedicure. First I just wanted a basic and it turned into a $72 pedi that I was expecting to pay $47. I got home and the next day I broke out all over my legs with crazy itching. Tried everything over the counter and no relief. The following Monday I went to urgent care because I The rash was not getting better, but worse. I'm now on heavy steroids and anibotic because of a bacterial infection. Not going there again!! read more

Very friendly people who do a great job! My daughter and I were in and out quickly without making appointments. I will definitely come back.

A new Nail Spa in the Jordan Creek Mall Area that offers a variety of services is very upscale. The new stripe mall is located on the outer corner of Dillard's with a plethora of parking. The inside environment is very posh with trendy decor. The salon products appear to be of high quality. The pedicure and nail sections have a positive flow. There are two bonus areas for handwashing and a youth section for pedicures. My nail technician was Yennie who was very experienced in using the nail drill. The dip was applied generously in a professional manner. The entire salon had a ZEN ebb and flow. read more

The prices at this nail salon are competitive, my final result was what I asked for with a tips and dip service. The environment is clean and modern. I went with a friend, my friend's nail tech was kind and friendly. My nail tech however was very rough with my hands and raised her voice at me several times. I have had my nails done over 100 times in my life and have never been told to change the way I'm sitting or had my hands hit and then yelled at to switch them. I was speaking to my friend during my service, but I was in no way out of touch with accommodating what was needed of me to complete the service. I ended up feeling very uncomfortable and embarrassed as it felt I was being yelled at several times by the technician, combined with body language that made me feel unwelcome. When paying, we both were asked to read our tip amounts out loud in front of each other and to the tech which was an awkward process. I tipped, but my friend having had a better experience than me, tipped better than I did. My friend mentioned the behavior after our appointment, saying it was "mean and unusual". Neither of us will be returning. read more

Julie, the owner, is the quickest lash install in town. She can install a full set of hybrid lashes in just under an hour. As a busy biz owner, this is important. Oh and they look amazing! read more

Going to OMG Nail Spa is a great example of you get what you pay for! After a not so pleasant experience at another nearby salon, I tried OMG. I called ahead to ask what the wait time was (Monday afternoon around 4:30). I was told there was no wait so I hopped in the car and arrived 5 minutes later. I was Immediately seated and Erim began my pedicure. I really just wanted some TLC for my feet - not ready for polish yet and opted for just the basic pedicure. Erim was pleasant and attentive and gave a great leg massage. The facility is clean and well-lit and doesn't have the strong smell sometimes associated with nail salons. Yes, my pedicure was about $13 more than at another nearby place but I believe I got my money's worth. read more

My nail clinician is great, however their appointment system is horrible and the owner (man at the desk) not only didn't apologize but their their system sent me a message AFTER my scheduled appointment time that it had to be rescheduled. When I called and told him about this, there was no apology, he just said they were too busy and didn't monitor the system. I've been in there and watched him walk around and do nothing many times. If you are going to have an automated system, MONITOR it. and his customer service skills were pathetic! I will no longer support his establishment and hope my clinician moves somewhere else. read more

Thank you MacKenzie for my pedicure today. Great job & very relaxing! See you next time.

I did a walk in appointment. I had high hopes. Worst pedicure I've ever had my nails are sharp on the edges. There is globs of polish on my toes. My dip manicure was horrible. My finger was nipped with the nail trimmers. And my fingers are full of hangnails from the grinder. My fingers are raw from being soaked in polish remover. And I'm 2 days out from this experience and my nails hurt so bad. 2 nails broke the first day. Good luck if you chose this salon read more

Lisa does amazing work. She has a great attention to detail and was very friendly. I will definitely be visiting Lisa again!

I went for a pedicure and manicure. Started out great , because it us a beautiful place. The people were friendly enough. My pedicure went really well. When it was time to do the manicure I had a different tech. He was younger but very nice paid attention to detail.. A few more customers came in and It was obvious that he knew them. I'm guessing the manager or owner told him to go and do those customers. They gave me another tech to finish my nails. He was not as good and didn't really seem to know what to do. More customers came iin and thus second tech put my hands in a bag of wax and said my first tech would be back to finish me in 5-10 min. He left my station and started doing someone else's nails. needless to say no one came to me for 15 minutes. A worker who was walking by noticed how hard the wax was and was like oh we should get that off. had hard wax stuck under my nails. For the finished product I have nail polish on the sides of my thumbs. my nails do not look like they were professionally done. I'm highly disappointed in the customer service of this salon. I will say that they did give me a 10% discount for the poor service and offered to fix my nails, but by that time I had been in that salon for three hours and was just done. Would not go again, would not recommend. read more

Although the staff was super sweet and helpful, my nails didn't turn out as I was expecting. The shape of my nails is pretty inconsistent, and both the person I went with and myself discovered a piece of hair/fuzz? in our nails. The facility and staff were both very nice! read more
