Another nail salon in west Des Moines. Ok service and nails have been nicely done. Came out during Mother's Day weekend and they were PACKED!!!! We even made appointments and we still had to wait 50 minutes. During COVID19 masks are required for both patrons and employees. Clear shields separate employs and customer at nail and pedicure stations. Shop is smaller than most other shops. Also not a fancy shop. Really more like a "no frills" type of place. Pedicure spa has a liner for easy clean up and hygiene protection. My nail tech was a sweet lady who was nice to talk to. She did a wonderful job with my French pedicure. Spent 50 minutes for the service. I received a deluxe pedicure. The cost of the French gel nails cost me $15 more. Total came to $50 before gratuity. If you are not proactive in asking exact prices they will surprise you with the cost AFTER you are done with the service. I expected to spend $40. Protip: expect to pay more for gel nails, dipping, French design, tips, tip lengths, or other design. If you are shy in asking up front, you will be surprised in the end. This is actually the culture of these type of salons. Unless you are a regular, you may learn that's how you will be charged. So far it's been 3 weeks since my last visit and my pedicure still looks good. My friends nails look good too. read more

Came here for a mani-pedi. The lady doing my pedi burned me with the hot towel. Then afterwards when she went to work on my hands, the nail polish was ultra dry and clumpy, the manicure didn't come out well. She also picked my cuticles so much I actually asked her to stop picking so much. If you plan on coming here, keep in mind you can't tip when paying, but they do have an ATM machine that charges a few just to get a few bucks out to tip. Bring cash. read more

Spent an afternoon here with some friends for a birthday spa treatment day. The owner was very friendly and provided drinks while we waited to get our toes or nails done. I got a pedicure and enjoyed the massage chairs. Went with a pretty ocean blue sparkle nail polish. I believe I did the deluxe pedicure that included a cherry blossom scrub and lotion. Very nice! The lady that did my nails coughed on my hands, screamed in the salon at her employees, was on her phone, and when I tried to ask her about the shape of nails that I wanted, she looked at me like I was crazy. I was so unhappy with my mani and the service here. My cousin made an appointment when I was in town visiting her, specifically asking for us to sit together so we could enjoy each others company while we were having our manis. When we arrived, they acted like there were no appointments, had us sit in pedicure chairs to pick out color, even though we weren't getting pedicures, sat us apart and said there was nothing they could do, and then complained about customers while we were sitting there. My shellac mani is thick, spotty, and on the one finger I had to have a false nail on because I broke it, she cut my finger, glued my skin together, and it is super thick and already coming off, not even 48 hours later. I would never return here. This is one of the worst places I have been. I also question how sanitary it is, it looked like tools were being used on multiple customers without cleaning. I feel like salons have stopped doing much cuticle work but I'm sure there's a reason. She took her time, gave a strong massage and even made sure to get extra callous remover (I am not the best at taking care of my feet so this was well needed). Prices are affordable and the salon is wonderful. It's even nice that the salon has great air flow so there's no acetone odor permeating throughout the building. They do get very busy on weekends with their regulars. If possible call ahead to make an appointment or to see when they have openings. They do offer drinks with service (water and wine). All the workers are very friendly. Husband and I come once a month to get the deluxe pedicure. It cost about 45 or 55 but lasts for 1 hour. The hot paraffin wax makes it worth it. It also comes with exfoliating and foot massage. Place is clean. Def recommend to everyone. read more

I came for basic pedicure, because I can paint my own nails but I just really needed my feet scrubbed to get the dead skin off. It's a pretty basic salon, no bells or whistles. No TVS on the wall, no music playing, just soft chitter chatter and the sound of the tools. The silence didn't bother me, in fact I prefer it but I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. My pedicure was $34.24 with tax and looked very nice. The 14 minute massage was great, but I do wish they spent a little more time scrubbing my feet, but then again I paid for the most basic option.
