I'd already packed much of the stuff I cared about and left it to Careful Movers to do the heavy lifting of my many boxes and the furniture and electronics. Since I have stairs in my house and the new one has an elevator he estimated 4 men and more hours due to stairs and elevator that could potentially take longer. Enrique and his 3-man team arrived before the scheduled window. They did a walk through for assessment and then proceeded methodically and meticulously to pack what I did not and move everything to their 1 truck (yes, 1 truck was enough). They packed in 3 hours. At the destination (which was local), in spite of the elevator, they finished the move in 3 hours. 10 hours was estimated, but Enrique did it in 6 hours. Kudos to them! They did a fabulous job. I chose Careful Movers based on everything I heard and asked about. They lived up to their name. Everything arrived in perfect working order, and nothing was broken. I HIGHLY recommend Careful Movers for your moving needs.

Getting a per-hour quote and scheduling with their team was super quick and easy; they were very responsive and their pricing is very competitive. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently + carefully to pack up the home and deconstruct the furniture. They were also more than willing to move around furniture at our new place if we found that we wanted it oriented differently. All-in-all, the experience took longer than originally quoted but that was because we had a LOT to pack and move. Again, the quote is based on the number of hours to complete the move, so I still fully believe that the service is fairly and competitively priced. I'm also very grateful to the team of movers Ludwig, Simon, Jose, and Lupe for staying so long and working so hard that day. It is very much appreciated because now we are in our new home with everything clearly labelled and nothing broken. I would recommend Joshua's Moving for any Bay Area move. If I ever need to move again, I know who I will be calling. Thank you!

They arrived on time and worked very hard and quick to get everything loaded up onto the truck. The movers were very professional and had all the supplies we and they needed. We had some big wire racks and they were able to saran wrap a bunch of boxes on them. They also had some wardrobe boxes that had a rod to hang stuff on. We had stuff at two locations so they had to pick stuff up at one, leave some stuff from spot 1 behind at spot 2, and pick up everything else from spot two before taking it all to its final landing spot. A couple things did break in transit, some cubbies and a glass baking dish, the dish was my fault though as it wasn't wrapped at all, and was in a collapsible bin. They were also able to take away an old mattress, it was a little more expensive that my boyfriend was originally quoted, but after a long day of packing and moving, we were fine paying it to not have to deal with it.

They sent two wonderful guys who were so efficient and hard-working. We were not able to finish everything in one day so I requested that they come back the next week for another session of packing. Both times, they arrived exactly when they said they would and brought all the moving materials in their truck so I did not have to pre-buy anything. I even needed special boxes for artwork and wine bottles and they provided those as well. I thought the price was very reasonable for what they did. I was not able to use them for the moving truck because I am moving out of state. (However, the owner said he would soon be getting the out-of-state license so that will be a service that is available in the future.) I'm happy to provide my highest recommendation for this company and the people who work there.

Booking: I sent an inquiry directly with the company due to their stellar reviews, and they were able to schedule me in for my preferred time/day. Moving: the two movers, Herman and Aleksei, were incredibly efficient and very sweet/patient throughout the move. I appreciate that they handled both my expensive & economical items delicately. Also, I wasn't completely prepared on my end with the move such as knowing details like where to park for loading/unloading or even which items to move vs discard, which I had been dreading for weeks. Paid a little over 2.5k to move a 630 sq ft 1b/1b 3 miles and had 3, and eventually 4 movers. Overall I'd say it was good, not great When I scheduled I explained I had two walkins with lots of clothes - they assigned me three people when I likely needed more as I had a walkup. We ended up totally missing the window for the move which is more my fault but I had asked the people who confirmed if they felt it was reasonable. They helped move the hanging items (which I expect) and had me pitch in to pack the glass despite having asked for them to send someone to do this. It's not an issue but I do think there was a general lack of communication bw the movers and the ppl who helped book that made the day less efficient than it could have been. I'm happy to pack those things as it gave me an outlet for my moving anxiety and saves me time ofc but even without packing glass it still took 9 hours When I realized we were pretty behind it was very easy to get someone else last minute at noon, so that was helpful and everyone coordinated quickly to make it happen. All the guys were also very respectful and carefully wrapped my furniture (table, 4 chairs, coffee and side table, large tv, bed and heavy lifting frame, chair desk and small wine fridge). I think I have a lot crammed in to a 1B and was overall a good experience, though not quite as smooth or efficient as my previous SF moves Pros: Crew is friendly Didn't break anything, including my fancy stemware Cleaned up after themselves removing wrap and paper Very efficient by helping me add an extra mover at a reasonable cost ($50hr) Cons: Timing ended up being totally off :( not their fault completely but I tried to communicate several times during booking I had a small elevator window and a lot of stuff Pretty pricey for a 1 bed 3 mile move
