I requested a quote online over the weekend and received a call Monday morning. John set me up with an appointment and ordered the windshield then and there. What was the most helpful that he called my insurer while I was on the phone with him. My insurer told me that the crack had to be larger than a silver dollar to cover replacement. They went on to say that Blue Chip was not a partner of their insurance company. I asked the insurer if that meant that they wouldn't cover the windshield if Blue Chip replaced it. John promptly jumped in and told me that the windshield would be covered 100%, but that the warranty would be covered by Blue Chip rather than my insurer. I appreciated the clarification. He told me that there would be zero out of pocket cost to me. The insurer told me that the repair would be covered and John did the rest (which was literally everything). Blue Chip replaced the windshield right in my driveway, again, at no cost to me. The service tech, Dan, was on-time and went out of his way to answer my questions, like calibration of the camera. Since my vehicle was newer, it had a camera for emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, which required calibration by an authorized tech when the windshield was replaced. Blue Chip took care of that as well. Dan showed me where the camera was mounted and why it needed to be calibrated with the windshield change. Dan was professional, competent, fast and friendly. In the end, I got a shiny new windshield installed by professionals at no cost to me. I have found my permanent glass company!

I called Magic Windshields because they were close to my work. Magic Windshields opened early so I called them right when they opened. I spoke with Gracie who was very helpful and checked with the installers and manager to make sure they could get my windshield replaced before I left work. I needed to leave work by 2pm at the latest and she made sure it would happen. I was also informed the company was also a recommended shop by my insurance, so that was a nice bonus. Gracie told me they could get it done and come to my work to get it done before 1pm. Cristian, the installer called me about 10 minutes before he arrived and quickly replaced my windshield. I am extremely thankful they were able to help me out so quickly and get me back on the road. The interaction I had with both employees was very pleasant and professional and the install was great.

He assured me "his company would take care of everything" and that OEM glass would be ordered. I called the shop the next day as instructed and scheduled the install under that promise. After the job was done, I asked the tech if it was OEM glass--he flat out said no. I confirmed this with Volkswagen of America, who told me Nielsen and Moller is not the OEM glass provider for VW. This was not OEM glass. Period. I called Clearview again and spoke to someone named Tristan, then to Bobby, a so-called "manager." First, he insisted it was OEM. Then he said they could pull the call to "see if I requested it." (I did.) Then he said "it's OEM equivalent." Then later he contradicted himself again and claimed it was OEM. He offered me a $200 detail at Jacksons Car Wash--because he knew it wasn't OEM. Later he changed his story again, saying Progressive would have to handle it. Meanwhile, your website clearly states you only use OEM glass. That is false advertising. You misled me, and now you're dodging responsibility. I was promised a callback from management. Instead, I got a text message saying someone would call Progressive, completely ignoring me. I tried to escalate and was just transferred back to Bobby, who once again changed his story. I have emailed the GM/Owner and will update if anything changes. But in the words of their own Manager, Bobby "BUYER BE WARE" This company is playing games with people's money, safety, and insurance coverage. And they think they can get away with it.
