I understand that dealerships need to qualify buyers, but requiring a credit application just to test drive a car--especially when someone is still in the early stages of shopping--is excessive and uncomfortable. The interaction felt dismissive, as if my presence was a waste of his time. For comparison, I had just visited the nearby Porsche dealership, where the staff were welcoming, professional, and happy to educate me and let me quickly test drive a vehicle with nothing more than a driver's license. Customer service matters, especially at luxury brands. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that standard.
