I bought a Mazda CX5 and even though I know a bit about cars I decided to get a pre purchase inspection at a local shop to make sure everything on the car was working. It wasn't cheap ($237) but it was worth it considering the investment I was about to make. When I brought this up to Robert, he even offered to take it to the shop and pick it up. Some of the negative comments here are just crazy in my opinion. First off, people need to understand that when you buy a used vehicle anything can happen. Even new cars have problems. Second, if you want peace of mind, take it to a professional so they can check the car before purchasing it since it is your right. Third, all used car lots have a "sold as is" policy. If you want to play it safe, do your homework and research the make, year and model to make sure that particular generation wasn't bad. I personally did a week of research and then decided to get take a look. I couldn't be more happy about how everything played out. Hopefully I'll be back next time I need another vehicle. Good job guys!

The lot was unorthodox and not what I was expecting for a used car dealership. If I were to let apprehension make decisions for me I would have missed a great opportunity to do business with Marius and Justin (I hope I got their names correct). I was greeted in the back of the lot at their office by Marius, who was very warm and friendly. He showed me the car, gave me the keys, and walked away. What a great start. After I inspected the car and found nothing wrong with it I asked him why it was priced so low. He said "People like good deals." After I test drove it, I asked him, "what is the catch?" He simply said, "we have low overhead." Marius seemed genuine and appeared to run a clean and honest business, so he earned my trust. I told him it's sold, and the paperwork was smooth and uncomplicated. I brought our new minivan home to my wife who is elated she now has a car she can tow all 3 kids in, and in luxury that is very high by our standards. The inside and the outside of the car are in very nice condition. The other cars in the lot also seem to be in great shape. Mountain Highway Motors has great taste for cars they like to keep in inventory. Thank you for such a great car buying experience. I look forward to seeing what is in the future for these honest small business owners. -Daniel

The oil wasn't changed and we drove the car for a time brfore changing it. Immediately after changing, the car started using oil - adding 1 or 2 quarts a week. Our mechanic checked it and said he has seen this on many Kia and Hyundai cars. Over time, Robert said he has replaced 30-40 Kia and Hyundai engines. While looking at the car which we should've had him do, he found the front tires worn off in the insides and upon mesuring brake pads the fronts were gone and less than 2 percent left on the back pads. The upshot of all this is new brakes and tires for $1,700 and a replacement used engine for $8,750 - way more than we paid Platinum Auto. A word of warning: The Platinum lot looks nice with a lot of clean looking cars but they obviously don't do safety checks (cracked winshield, brakes, etc.). They didn't have service histories on this car and others we looked at. A real crap shoot if you shop with company!!! Go to a dealer that offers 90-day used car warranties with some decent mileage amount for your protection.
