Ken was beyond helpful and even provided us a place to call if we wanted a refurbished transmission as he knew we were looking into options to save money but yet still get the job done right. We had our transmission replaced with Mike's Automotive and even with a few hiccups, nothing that was their fault...just a few extra things that had to be replaced to get the car in running shape since it had been sitting for some time. I had been bringing my car here for several years now. My windshield wipers had stopped ejecting…read morefluid and the reservoir had leaked out the fluid I had replaced. I received a call advising me that I needed new nozzles that would have to be ordered and oh, by the way, my rear brakes needed to be replaced in the next few months. The estimate was $1,900 for both. At first, I was going to do it but then started thinking about it and consulted with a friend who suggested I take the car to Les Schwab for a free second opinion. When I told Mike's I was going to do that, I was told I would have a $200+ diagnostic fee. First off, I NEVER asked them to check my brakes! To really get a thorough look at the brakes, they would have to remove the tires. I picked up my car and advised them that WA RCW 46.71.025 states an auto repair shop may not charge a diagnostic charge unless advised beforehand or in writing. The manager quickly said they wouldn't charge me. The young kid tried to tell me that because I had my car in a few months ago (for regular servicing), that I had given consent. Nice try, won't fly. After picking up my car, I went to Les Schwab (had just gotten new tires there) and they told me I still had 5mm on the rear and 6mm on the front which was probably good for another 15k miles. I average about 7k a year. When I picked up my car from Les Schwab, the man helping me told me I was the second complaint that day from Mike's. Not a good batting average. I'm a 70-year-old woman but I'm not stupid. I told them, I don't trust you anymore! They clearly intended to take advantage of me. Too bad they didn't realize I am a recently retired WA State investigator, and I know how to do my research. I received a phone call from Mike the owner that night but was too angry to take the call. He left a message to call him. No apology, nothing. Never tried to call again. I gave him a week to reach out again before deciding to write this review. Too bad, so sad.

The father seems to do good work. The son needs supervision. No regard for customer inconvenience or safety. Office hours make it very hard to leave or pick your vehicle. Customers are fenced in or out when business is closed. They are open 9am-4pm, Monday - Friday. You will be asking for trouble and inconvenience if you use Super Bee.

After my father's truck left your facility where you allegedly repaired the front breaks and master cylinder, I happened to be the driver of the truck only a few days later. I was driving the truck on Marvin Road to my place of employment and the breaks failed. This caused me to skid through a round-about, brushing the mirror on a yield sign, which also knocked the front driver's hub cap off. Luckily, I came to a stop only a few feet from hitting the concrete within the center of the round-about. This accident could have been much, much worse. Again, please recall that the truck had just left your shop a few short days before this. My father had paid 1200 dollars for this "repair." This was a very scary and alarming experience for me. I know that accidents do happen and so do mistakes. However, your repair shop simply did a poor job which ended in a potentially disastrous outcome. My initial issue was not that a poor job was done by your company. It was the response that my father and I received afterward. My father's complaint details the very truthful events which ensued in the aftermath. As a result of this accident and then our inability to resolve the matter with you, the truck stayed parked in my driveway for a very long period of time. I don't think you have an adequate grasp on the impact your poor work quality had on our lives. I kindly request that instead of lashing back at me as though I have done something wrong by writing this, you take a few moments to reflect on your role in this and what you can do as a company to simply not allow this to happen again. Do better. Be better. Your work was a complete failure and it is you who should have taken the initiative to make it right. And you did not.
