If you are doing a wine tour through Paso Robles, Eberle is an absolute must-stop! It looks grand &…read morehistoric but maintains the kind of down to earth hospitality that is synonymous with this region. We had a wonderful time visiting the winery & their famous caves! It's 16,000 square feet of underground tunnels. As one of the few spots offering complimentary tastings to our complete surprise! This winery is a hidden gem. We loved the selection so much we had to pick up a few bottles for home! Overall Great wines, beautiful views & amazing service! Definitely going back!

We picked Eberle on a recommendation from friends who are wine club members--and it ended up being…read morethe stop we're still talking about. By the end, pretty much everyone in our group had found a wine they wanted to take home--including the ones who swore they weren't buying anything. Dennis, our Tasting Room Host, made the experience. He was warm, very knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging with everyone--from the serious wine lovers to our six-year-old--while keeping things professional and elevated. The whole visit struck that rare balance: polished without feeling formal, refined without ever feeling rushed or "in-and-out." Dennis has been with Eberle since 2017, and you can feel how much he cares about the place. He spoke about the winery with such genuine pride, and as you look around the tasting room at the rows of award ribbons from years of vintages, it hits you--this is a place with real history behind it. That sense of legacy and care is woven into the whole experience. The historic wine caves are a must, the complimentary tasting felt generous and unhurried, and the grounds have that unmistakable Paso magic--rolling hills, big oaks, golden light, and room to breathe. We even crossed paths with Gary Eberle (founder, 1979) and his sweet black poodle, Vieto--one of those authentic, only-in-wine-country moments that sums up the welcoming spirit here. If you go, ask for Dennis--he turned our first visit into one we'll plan future trips around. Good to know before you visit: * Make a reservation--it gets busy * Don't skip the cave tour (you can even taste down there) * Large lawn & games--great for kids and mixed groups * Very dog-friendly * Private, romantic tastings available in the caves * Complimentary tastings + military discount available * Plan to stay a while...and bring your camera :)

Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Garden - A rosé and their 2022 Muscat

At Sculpterra…read more... They are in the business of turning water into wine....... One grape at a time!!! Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but then I saw a sign in their vineyard that proved me wrong. It read: "Water into Wine" And now, I'm a believer! So what brought us to this magical place you ask?? Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!

I am a nobody. Sure, I am a longtime Wine Society member, but I don't expect a Michelin Star restaurant and one of Forbes best places in the world to remember me. They didn't know me; but it didn't matter Justin Winery and Restaurant, treated my party fantastic! Service was excellent. Food was great. Wine was superb. The tasting went slightly off list, which was welcomed with the heat. Lovely white wines to start off, which lead into the bold reds. 10 out of 10 atmosphere. 10 out of 10 for service. 10 out of 10 for food. Wine was a solid 93 average. IYKYK

Visited this past weekend and was greeted by Mike , served by Kevin. Gorgeous view, whether a member or not the service is always on point. Perks of being a member is that you get a discount for having a great time. Brought my family and they got to indulge in the perks with me. Wine was top tier. They don't serve you what is in your local grocery store, they've got the exclusive wine here. Reserves hold a special place in my heart. Enjoyed all glasses but th Isosceles, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet , Rose...ok all of them were the best. lol Can't have a bad drink here. Highly recommend, food is incredible! 2025 Michelin star, need I say more ? Our group enjoyed the Winter Salad, Mushroom pasta, charcuterie board, and apple pie. Parking was easy , reception is bad until you reach the property. Casual wear is ok in this classy setting. People are down to earth and ready to story tell about the wine here. Excited to go back.
