I got an "enchilada" at B & E Burritos over Memorial Day weekend. What a rip-off! WORST excuse for an enchilada ($8) I've had in my entire life of 70 years. We were driving through from El Paso to Santa Fe and decided to stop for a bite. We were not disappointed. We had two breakfast burritos, one spam and potatoes and the other chorizo. We've wanted to try this place when we drive on long road trips ( such great reviews, and an affordable meal) , but we always go by after hours. Today we were lucky enough to experience the delicious cuisine. It's simply prepared on the best possible way. Stopped in because our first choice restaurant was closed (Mon-Wed) even though we have never tried either. Well, all I can say is we were glad they were closed otherwise we would probably not have stopped at B&E. We had the Burrito Plate with a red and green chili burrito.....excellent!!!! Next time we drive thru we'll stop here again, even if the "other" restaurant is open! Margie and Estella were so fun, they insisted I do dishes but I bribed my way out by writing this review. Best green chile on earth. Don't know what else to say. Except that some local might hunt me down and kill me for letting the secret out. When I lived in Seattle, I would buy a quart of chile, some tortillas (not homemade) and transport it home in a cooler. If you're going up I-25 for any reason and are hungry, take exit 41 (I think) and head in to town. It's a mean-looking, low brick building (which is not very specific) on the right. And they just put up a new sign so It's easy to find. read more

Not what I expected, the bean and cheese burrito is exactly what it is just beans and cheese, the woman taking the order appear to be rushed, didn't smile, and was completely unhelpful. The beans tasted like they were out of a can and the rice did too, very tomatoey. Not much flavor. Expected to get some green Chilies on the side. Never got them. After all we are in hatch. Ok, we travel across the country twice a year. We haven't had a burrito in 6 months. We're dying for a taste of the SW that we love. We search yelp burrito places in hatch and find this B n E burritos. Great reviews. Red and green chili. All we want, right? Wrong! I get the red chili burrito. No sour cream, no guacamole, no pico de gallo, however they do have lettuce. Open the burrito there are four scrids of lettuce and 1 pound of pork on the burrito. Yuck. My partner orders bean and cheese burrito. Actually orders two. We are sent out the door with no hot sauce/salsa. He goes in to inquire about hot sauce. And they say they have none. If this is hatch? Is hatch not known for its chilies? Does hatch not have hot sauce? To make a plain bean and cheese burrito spicY. "Oh you want salsa, We have salsa." She sends me out the door with two half filled containers of salsa. Have a hard time believing this place is the best place. It was the worst burrito I've ever had. The tortillas were heated in the microwave so very tough. These are the beans were bland with only lard and beans and no salt. They added was like the lettuce with four skids of grated cheese on the beans. 2 stars For the flavor of the chili. Maybe they should just sell the chili's. read more

This place gets 5 stars for the green chile burrito alone!!! We had a green chile pork burrito, a red chile pork burrito, and an egg cheese and bean burrito. All were amazing.
