So I called them early in the afternoon to have them meet me at my house upon my arrival from the office. But the KeyMaster was a lil late due to the person taking my order mistaking my street name for Nine, opposed to Vine . . . Nonetheless, Mr. KeyMaster shows up, dismantles my deadbolt & doorknob to have it "re-keyed," which he does in his mobile van that has all he needs to take care of business. He asks me how many copies of the key I wanted (he charges $1.50 per key), I told him 2. I then asked if he could re-cut my original keys, since I'm familiar with their designs at a glance. He said he could and he did. All in all, he was at my house for 20 mins., 5 keys re-cut and they all worked w/out a flaw. Rate was $75.00 . . . not bad for quick and efficient service!!! I highly recommend B & B to whom-ever needs their services. Oh yeah, they also install garage doors, which they did a few years ago at my place. When my drunk neighbor would come home, he'd take out the sensor on his side of the garage, B&B would come out and fix it in no time. Love their customer service!!!! read more

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for coming out and getting me set up so fast! I called for help with getting new locks and keys installed, and less than 60 minutes later, I was already done with everything! Really, I was expecting it to take longer and cost more, but it was cheap and fast! I'll definitely call again when I need more help, and you should too! read more

My roommate and I went to 5 different places and no one was able to make a copy for us until we came here. It is a special key for my condo and the landlord charged $90 I got it here for $8. I couldn't be happier. Thanks you!!! read more

Best to tell you what happened. I was in no rush to leave, but I grabbed the wrong keys and locked myself out of the apartment on a weekday morning about 8:30 am. Luckily I had my iPhone and found these guys on Yelp. I called them and a kind gentleman answered. He took my phone number and address and arrived in 15 minutes (I am about 15 minutes away, so this was good time). It took him less than a minute to bring his tools and open my front door. It cost me $45 (no tax), but worth it for the speed and service. My fault for being so careless. read more

They just came out and fixed a lock at my house where the key was stuck in it. The technician Paul was very nice and professional, as well as knowledgeable about the lock. He was able to repair the lock in almost no time at all and they were priced very well. Great service, very prompt (45 minutes from when I called they knocked at my door) and good price. Very good company. read more

I needed some keys copied. First I went to Home Depot, but they didn't have one of keys in stock that I needed, so I came over to B&B. I needed three copies, and it was $2.50 each - more than Home Depot, but whatever. When I got out my credit card to pay, I was informed that they have a $20 minimum for credit cards - and as someone who doesn't normally carry cash, this was infuriating. Since I wasn't about to pick out $12.50 of extra crap, they charged me a dollar extra for the "privilege" of using my card. WHAT?! FYI, B&B, it is DEFINITELY against your merchant agreement with Visa/Mastercard to charge service fees to your customers. I needed the keys that day so I ponied up the money, but I will not be going back. read more

I've used B & B's services several times over the past ten years and I have never had a bad experience. They installed all my locks and re-keyed them for me later. They also installed my garage door opener and have provided other, smaller, services such as making key duplicates. I've been impressed every time by their solid work, professionalism, quickness, and competitive pricing. read more

A great place to get a remote for your gate. Simple and quick.

I was in a jam. I was selling a condo unit in Monterey Park and we were closing that day. The last tenant forgot to leave the mailbox key, so I needed a locksmith that would be able to get out there and make a duplicate key, so that we could close. B&B came out within 45 minutes and by the time I arrived, the keys were already duplicated and the job was done. Cost my client only $65. If you are looking for somebody super responsive, be sure to give them a call. They helped me get my client what they wanted in the time they wanted, with no delays. Thanks B&B! read more

It's pretty much some sort of bad news when you need a locksmith, but I was in that position again recently. :( Lucky for me, using B&B was the smoothest part of this entire debacle, so far. They get another 5 star review because: 1) When I called to book the appointment, the man answering the phone patiently answered my questions (in Chinese, but they speak English, too) and gave me his best estimate of pricing based on what I could tell him. 2) They came when they said they would. They even called before they left to let us know. 3) They did what they said they would. Unlocked doors, cut off padlocks, replace locks, etc. 4) They were efficient and didn't overcharge for what they did. We had them go slightly outside of their normal service area and they did charge us a very nominal travel fee, but I was happy to pay this to know that using them would prevent the headache of dealing with a potentially flaky or untrustworthy locksmith. Yes, they take credit card. They came through for me again! Thanks! read more

Had a car key that needed to be made. Went to local Home Depot and waited about 15 minutes to be told that they didn't have the kind of key template to make a copy. Fortunately, the employee was familiar with the area and recommended this local shop. I'm glad he did. The B & B rep was very helpful and knew exactly what kind of make and model key to find. In less than 5 minutes he made a perfect copy for $6. Very fast and friendly. Highly recommend. Once again, a neighborhood business with knowledgeable people who do it right the first time! And have a deep stockroom on site - we didn't have to wait for the part to come in. Our front door lock went kaput, we took it apart and figured out the part that was broken. On to the local Home Depot - nope, no luck, they just sell whole lock sets and not even of the quality (or complexity) of the one we were trying to fix - but, kudos to the HD guy who recommended we go to B & B. So, instead of paying about $160 for an inferior replacement, we got a quick, professional fix in about no time for about $15 on a $275 lockset. I'm sure that B & B would have come to our house and done the whole job, but we had the lockset out of the door already... Price, service and timeliness - it doesn't get much better. read more

I stopped by here after work for a key&remote replacement for my car. I didn't even have the key to duplicate so they started everything by looking up the make and model of my car. These guy did a good job and they demonstrated the final product to me to make sure I was satisfied before paying. They even gave me an extra valet key free of charge which was nice. It has been over 2 months and I haven't had any problem with the new key yet. It works as great as the original. The price given to me was cheaper than other places I have called. Looked to me like they have all type of keys, locks, and alarm at the shop. The service was quick and friendly there. Definitely a 5-stars place. read more

I was actually refer her by a contractor to purchase a replacement part for the garage door. Prior to my arrival at the shop, I called to check stock of the Garage Item, and they actually pulled and got it ready at the front desk for me to pickup. Super Great Services! read more

I came here to get a few locks re-keyed. It only costs $7/ea, which seems really inexpensive to me. Now all my locks are on the same key! Super convenient. Service was prompt and friendly. I dropped off the locks and returned an hour later, but it probably takes about 10-15 min per lock. Don't expect a deal for hardware, but they carry items not found in the big box stores. I'll be back for future locksmithing services. read more

I called & B Lock around 2:00 pm to have them unlock a door in my house. (I had lost the key). The technician said that they usually charge $45, but if I can wait til 4:30-5, they'd charge me $35. I said I'd wait. The technician, Andy, called my house 5 minutes before he arrived around 4:35. The lock on my door is old and requires a skeleton key so I was worried that it would be difficult, especially because it took him a couple of minutes, but he got the job done within 5. They are quick, easy to work with, and reliable. read more

I locked my self out like a dummy. Not only that but my dog was inside and I needed to get to him. With no one to be home for hours, and everyone else out of town, what else was there to do but to find a locksmith. Excellent service! I called and within 20 minutes I had someone arrive at my place to help me out. I got a courtesy call to advise me someone was on their way and in less than 5 minutes I got to Cinco! (My dog). I think the best part was being charged only $45 for a house visit. I was once charged $90 when locked out of my office door (ouch). I recommend B & B! And I'm pretty sure I'll need their services in the future... i.e me being a forgetful dummy. read more

It was a pleasure using B & B. I had an issue with the lock to my home's front door. Van took my call and scheduled for later in the day. The tech arrived on time. The issue was a little more complicated than originally thought, but B & B sent someone else to bring the tech the part he needed. Thanks to B &B for their help. Highly recommend. read more

Great place, took less than a minute to have two of my keys duplicated. Only $2.50 for both keys - meaning $1.25 for each duplicate. I got them in separate colors too which is nice. Service and getting the job done, I'm sure is top notch. The ding off the 5 star is I walked into the store and someone came but he was on the phone for like 10 minutes before he finally assisted me. No one was in the shop except for me. That wait was longer than getting my keys duped. Other than that, like everyone says, this place gets the job done. read more

The guys at the front desk are nice. The Key copying services is fast. I don't remember how much it was but it was very cheap $$. Convenient location. read more

Needed to make copies of my keys and this place definitely got the job done VERY quickly. Literally in 30 seconds. So why the 3 stars? Their extremely sparse selection of key designs. Yeah, I need my cute keys okay?! It's about the same price as the Home Depot a few streets over, so if you like your options, I'd recommend going there instead! read more

Great place and great customer service. They even called me back over the course of a week to schedule me in. Convenient location with street parking and a parking lot. I had a new Smartkey re-programmed for my Lexus here. Their prices are great too. Definitely coming back. read more

They are very quick and efficient. No wait time. But Beware: Carry Cash. Although they take cards, it's a $1 fee if you don't spend at least $10. And if you're just getting keys copied you probably won't spend that much. So take cash with you. read more

I had to make a duplicate of my valet key for my 2005 Lexus. I was told by the dealership that without the master key, I would have to reprogram the car to even add any keys to the vehicle's system. This would cost around $140 for the key itself and the reprogramming to be done. B & B did their magic and was able to get me a duplicate valet key for $100; the key worked fine with my car. read more

Needed a locksmith to discuss some home security concerns. B&B were knowledgeable, reasonable and reviewed all the options which would meet my needs. I called asking for KEY FOB programming they quoted pricing and welcomed me to come bring car and come immediately and they cld do it immediately. Little skeptical because of the pricing being the cheapest out of 6 others locksmith, I went. And let me tell you, there was no disappointment. Shop was clean, everyone and I mean all staff members were welcoming. My key FOB was programmed immediately and pricing remained the same. Well worth visiting this place for professionalism, in and out, best pricing you will find from the Pasadena Mountains to the Los Angles Rivers as well. Thank you so much B&B Lock and Security!!! read more

Great place to get your spare key programming done. I bought my keys on ebay and needed at place to laser cut and program the fob and B&B was able to do it quickly and affordably. It was all done in less than 30 minutes. Ford wanted $300+ for a single fob, lasercut and programming!!! That was too much for a flip style key. They were also able to remove the missing key from the car computer too. Great job B&B and thanks for the fast and affordable service!! read more

Lost my Vehicle key and remote. Dealer need me to tow my car to shop for key and program. B&B could offer key and program on site. I call in the morning and Morgan arrive afternoon. So I found this place through Yelp, while looking for a nearby locksmith to make several copies of keys that I have. When I arrived, I could tell this is a family owned and operated business- which is where i want my business to go if possible. Also plenty of free parking (off street). I was greeted right away by their friendly staff. I needed about 5 different keys copied. Each key that I had went to a different type of lock (building/vehicle/motorcycle/front gate etc) B&B copied my keys for me in minutes- and they WORKED in all locks when I tried them. What a relief! It is so nice to not have to go back multiple times to get precision keys made-correctly. These guys did it right at inexpensive rates, THE FIRST TIME. They also have an awesome selection of safes and other security products. When I am in the market for a safe, I will definitely go back. These guys are my new "GO TO" locksmiths. TRUSTED BUSINESS :) read more

I came in yesterday and brought in several sets of garage door keys to have made. B and B lock s very professional and courteous and my experience was very pleasurable. I will definitely be going back! It's a family business and the son helped me. He also showed me what a DeLorean car key looks like from the 1980s. You will not be disappointed with their service. I will definitely be using them again! read more

The place has locks, and so much more! Great one on one customer service, too. I have all my keys made here. Have a hard to match key? One that others say they can't reproduce? Have no fear, this place will take care of it. I have had a few keys made here others just couldn't or wouldn't do. For a scooter first (they actually asked me to bring the scooter inside to take a look at the ignition) and then for a motorcycle. I never asked the folks at Home Depot and a few other well known stores why they can't make these simple keys, and I don't care to know. All I know is I was told to come here and they'd do the job. And they do, no questions asked or strange "we can't do that here" reply. It's just a key! And that's what they make here, and seem happy doing it. read more

I have only had one brief experience here, but it was so enjoyable that not only would I return, but I have no problem recommending them to others in a review. I'm not sure how to explain in writing what I went in for...but it had to do with a dead bolt lock on one of the doors in my warehouse. I wanted to change it from being keyed entry on both sides of the lock, to have a knob on one side, and a keyed entrance on the other side. If it sounds confusing written down...you should have heard me trying to explain it over the phone! Even still, the man on the other end of the line was incredibly patient and helpful. I didn't get the name of the sales associate who helped me, but he was REALLY awesome. I can tell you that leaving Mission Hardware and Home Depot confused and empty handed, this introduction was MUCH APPRECIATED. Over the phone and in person, the gentlemen who assisted me was really helpful and informative. I didn't catch his name, but he was the only one wearing glasses. LOL. He even explained to me how to change the lock out myself. Something I really thought didn't need to be explained at the time, but as I was installing the knob, I was so glad he took the time to tell my unappreciative butt. If he wouldn't have explained some things to me, it would have taken me much longer than the few minutes it did. I was really pleased and thankful with my experience here. I will be back! P.S. I wasn't in the market for a safe at the moment, but they had an impressive selection, just in case someone out there is looking. read more

I will call them again, because the quality of the work is excellent, and relatively prompt and affordable. Had I gone to Toyota, I would likely have had pay more than an arm and leg. My only reservations were that the technician was a bit late, and then their VISA by phone did not work well (better to have cash on hand in the future maybe), but we worked through both. Excellent communication throughout, and technician was very apologetic. Excellent quality work outweighed any annoyances. read more

My parents are old and my father is both unemployed and disabled. I could not be there to see the work done properly, so I trusted my friends at Yelp. Well, it was a good choice. The locksmith they sent, Andy, was both knowledgeable and patient. Explained everything to me and gave my father a price that was more than fair. My father can be difficult to deal with and Andy took the time to explain everything properly. I didn't have to be there at all - handled everything over the phone. I will definitely call on the good people at B&B again in the future. KChow (service received in Monterey Park) read more

Been using B&B since the mid 80's. Owner is very professional and knowledgeable. I needed to re-key my Kwikset digital lock set, the tumbler was faulty. Needed somewhere to copy a simple front door key. After reading the (not great) reviews of key-copying at the large hardware store near me, I wanted to find a local small business to support. I came in the afternoon on a weekday and had no wait. I was in and out with my key copied in less than 5 minutes! Price was very reasonable, and most importantly the key worked when I came home to test it. There was parking available right out front on the street.
