When I asked about this the woman at the counter blamed the ruined buttons on me by saying, "You should've asked me to wrap them in tinfoil. That's what people do." She said this repeatedly. I did not ask her to cover the buttons. I assumed she would. She then said, "Is this the first time you've had the jacket dry cleaned?", implying that I brought it in with ruined buttons. I asked,"Is there anything you can do about these buttons to fix them?" She said no and repeated it was my fault. I then said, "Do you review the item prior to cleaning it?" (For example, is it from Walmart or Neiman Marcus? Is it cotton or silk? Are the buttons cheap plastic or fancy metal?) She said, "No we don't. We have too many customers for that." And then blamed me a few more times. At that point I said, "You know you've ruined the buttons on an expensive jacket. What you could've done is rather than blaming me, just say something like, "Hey I'm sorry this happened. I'm happy to replace the buttons." She then started to sarcastically and repeatedly bow down saying, "Oh I'm so sorry oh I'm so sorry oh I'm so sorry; is that what you wanna hear? oh I'm so sorry." I then said, "This is terrible customer service. You are blaming me for something you did incorrectly." She then repeatedly denied blaming me. For Pete's sake, they are dry cleaners. That's what they do. They dry clean clothes. Cheap ones and expensive ones and all kinds of clothes It's not brain surgery. Take an extra moment to make sure that you do it right. But blame the customer? Make it make sense. For $10 of replacement buttons, she's lost a customer worth countless dollars not to mention bad press. As you can imagine, there were other words said but I've given you the gist of it. This company may be fine for laundering shirts I guess but do not bring in anything that is of any value because simply you are putting it at risk. It may come out fine. It may be damaged. Either way, they don't care. They feel no responsibility for anything.

We have used them to alter dozens of suits, sport coats, blazers, dresses, shirts, etc. With Covid-19 among us I stopped in to see how they were holding up and if now would be a good time to have some clothing altered. Since their business was slow and I had several items I needed taken in I decided to bring in a few items at a each week over the next month or two until everything was altered. First, I brought them some jackets to perform sleeve hems on. Long story short I had to return 5 times in total to finally pick up the last jacket. They kept saying my jacket was done, I would visit and find that it hadn't been altered at all. I inquired about how this could happen, they only indicated that they have a new seamstress so maybe she messed up and forgot to do the work. On the 5th visit I asked what they believed their responsibility was in this and if they would cut me a break on one of the jackets I was planning to drop off, the immediate answer was "no, not this time." They offered zero explanation, zero compassion for my time they wasted, and did not take any ownership. I figured that a relationship that has gone on for so many years would have been worth it to them to accept their responsibility and by performing a low valued sleeve hem, that would be a good gesture and attempt to salvage the relationship but instead they didn't care. So I met a new cleaner today to share my families needs, frequency, etc. and begin to establish a new relationship, we shall see how it goes.

Bottom Line: The best dry cleaner in town if you like sour attitudes, misplaced garments and…read morereceipt of clothing that doesn't belong to you. Sorry, folks, I'm not going to sugar coat it, this place is awful. I've written nearly 700 Yelp reviews and I've put a lot of thought into each one of them in order to provide a fair review, but I have to say, this place is honestly a joke. Here is what I can tell you about Zoom after using them for six months: - Turn Around Time: As the name implies, Zoom does strive to turn around garments quickly. "In by 9am, out by 5pm" is how they advertise their one day-service. - One Price: Most garments are cleaned for one low price of $1.99, I think. They also clean things like comforters and curtains but I'm not sure what the price is on those larger items. - Long Lines: Upon entering Zoom, there are always two lines. The line on the right is for people to drop off and pick up their clothes. The line on the left is for people waiting for misplaced/lost items to be recovered. If you are feeling lucky, you can opt for express drop-off. With express drop-off you buy a zoom bag, put your garments in it, and then just drop it in the pile inside. - Awful Customer Service: The staff here is miserable. I've made excuses for them in my head non-stop but can't do it anymore. Realistically, I think they are just lazy, apathetic, uninspired . . . the list could go on and on. There is absolutely no sense of urgency here either. When trying to pick up garments, staff members will chat with the alterations staff and then check their cell phone before going to the back to look for garments. I've seen this behavior first hand and other similar acts of non-urgency during my various visits here. - Disorganization: Zoom is disorganized. I have gone to pick up clothes that were all dropped off at the same time and the employee checks several places in the store to find my clothes. If you are lucky, the scavenger hunt eventually produces your entire dry-cleaning order. - Risk of Using Zoom: If you are thinking about using Zoom, you just have to assess the risk. Yes, they are inexpensive but what about your clothes? You have to consider if the low recurring cost of dry cleaning will make up for any clothes that they lose. Note that dry cleaners do not typically pay retail for a lost item. So if you are price sensitive, maybe take your everyday stuff here but take you special items somewhere where they will not be lost. - Lost Items: In the spirit of fairness, Zoom has never entirely lost any of my items but they have temporarily misplaced garments that surfaced days/weeks later. Also, they have given me other people's clothes so that means someone else was missing something. I have heard stories of completely lost, never recovered garments which is kind of surprising since everything is cleaned on site. - Bottom Line: After trying Zoom for six months, I have taken my business elsewhere.
