Love this place! Did a ladies spa day at Azure and we were not disappointed. First time visiting this hidden oasis, from the outside you wouldn't know that this place holds such hidden inner beauty. First, the inside is so nicely decorated and super clean, I noticed staff were always cleaning. Then the staff, so so nice and inviting. Shout out to Tony, he was fabulous and so kind! The cafe has great food and not overpriced like many other spas typically are. They serve delicious snacks, food and beverages. I even had to take some of their amazing pastries home to enjoy later. Then outside, you have a variety of pristine oasis to enjoy. From a large inviting swimming pool, several mineral baths, saunas and jacuzzi's both indoor and outdoor, and everything is nicely kept up. It was such a nice relaxing day. After interviewing 3 pool/spa contractors and customers of each, we chose Azure Pools for our project. It involved demo-ing and filling our large existing, older design, in-ground, boulder surrounded spa and replacing it with a slightly smaller, raised spa with infinity edges and modern look. Using my wife's brother's spa as inspiration, Renee and her team at Azure worked with us every step of the way to deliver a spa that came out even better than we had envisioned. Very helpful was her use of "fly-over" graphics that allowed us to see and play with layout and design options before and during the process. That tool was especially helpful when we were doing final tile selection, to be able to see how different tile sizes and grout lines laid out. The finished project was very close to what we designed. The project was on-time and on-budget, acknowledging there were upgrades we chose to make along the way, but those certainly weren't surprises or bait-and-switch. Renee shared our attention to detail, which was implemented by her construction team, who always left the job site as clean as possible. Our HOA is (rightfully) very particular about following submitted plans and job site noise and cleanliness, and told us that they found Azure very easy to work with and were also very happy with how the project turned out. 7/10/22: Azure and their contractors and overall business is one you cannot trust. There was lack of communication and politeness between me and Renee, who was the lady in charge for my pool. Damages caused while building the pool were not reimbursed and there is not even a manager to talk about for service recovery. When I asked them to take care of damages, I was told it is on the contract that they will not be liable for. Even when included in the contract,they did not finalize the setup of my pool to include the salt setup for our pumpans I was told because "we did not hire one of their people to take care of the pool". Recently, we noticed a couple of the tiles cracked and is still under warranty for them to fix it. 7/29/22: After having conversations with Rick and addressing my review and concerns, he offered to fix the issue with the tile if I was willing to reconsider my review. I told him I would update this review once they offered service recovery which they did by fixing the issue with the cracked tiles as of 7/28. To get to this point, it took some going back and forth but it has been taken care of and won't need to be escalated further. 7/29/22: My advice is for them to keep the business proffesional with open communication and value the customer's opinion and concerns since some of the responses in emails I got were unprofessional in tone and with minimal respect towards me as the customer. At the end, they honored my last request and I do my part in updating this review to make others aware about my personal experience. read more

I am a two project veteran, client of Azure pools and Spa. Azure pools and spa are a family business run by Rick Neff and sister, Renee. My first project with Azure was a large fairly complex infinity pool, spa/landscaping project on my home (new construction) in Rancho Mirage. Rick Neff, the owner, has a keen eye for design and was hands on and provided a lot of very valuable creative input and worked with me on every step of the project and in spite of the my many iterations and changing visions for this project, patiently stuck with me, resulting in a magnificent infinity pool, spa and backyard for my home. Friends and family rave about this pool to this day. Family and friends rave about this pool to this day. Fast forward 5 years, there were was a maintenance issue, caused by seismic activity. Azure not only stood 100% behind their work and the warranty and made the necessary repairs, but Rick supervised the entire repair process. I don't know about you, but when a contractor stands behind their work, as we expect them too, even though it shouldn't be a surprise, it is none the less very comforting when they do, and underscores in real terms what the company is all about. That's who I want to do business with. Project number two was a pool remodel and equipment replacement/ automation, and drainage repair on an older home I acquired in La Quinta earlier this year. Admittedly a more modest project, However, the Azure team treated it as if it were a very big project, and did a great job. And yes there were a few twists and turns on the project, (especially related to the drainage system) but the team adjusted and addressed the challenges, came up with a creative solution and got the job done, perfectly!. Azure is not the lowest cost, nor the highest cost provider. What you get from this company is a highly experienced hands-on, creative and quality approach to your project. A family business that is small enough to provide a highly personalized approach, but big enough and experienced enough to handle a large and complex project. I was looking for a pool contractor to build a very small pool in my new home that would go in my front courtyard. I had seen the reviews of Azure pools from yelp and also a referral from a friend so I decided to give Rick a call. The procedure was pretty smooth with Rick and his team. If there was a problem it was taken care of immediately. Rick would come out to the job himself often to meet with me to give updates and ideas. The pool was done for the most part on time. I think what stood out to me the most was the fact that I know my pool was tiny in comparison to a lot of pools that are done by Rick but he still made me feel important. Azure pools constructed by pool as well as provided some after installation service and products. Pool is ok, but after-service is questionable. Be careful purchasing additional products from this firm. Not only were their recommendations bad, but they would not resolve the issue when asked and initially blamed the manufacturer. The owner (Rick Neff) is difficult to deal with, often assigning blame to others instead of managing the problem and accepting responsibility. We still remain unresolved with this firm to find a workable solution, and had to source (and pay for) other options. It was amazing to me that they would not stand behind such a small facet of their work, especially when we had chosen to make such a sizable investment with their firm. In any case, it is not about the money now (~$450) but honor and warning others to be careful. Caveat emptor. read more

We called Azure Pools for an estimate on redoing our Palm Springs pool. The phone contact person was very friendly and helpful so we were quite surprised when Rick came out. He offered no ideas, didn't bring any plaster or pebble tech samples to help us choose a new finish, he only made a negative comment about our old pool drain, did a 30 second pencil sketch of our pool and left. He suggested that we drive to an Indio pool and tile showroom if we wanted ideas!! He could barely contain his lack of interest in our project. I received several bids to modify the depth of my pool to a more acceptable and safer depth for myself, and any guests. The bid I received from Azure Pools and Spas for the price and time frame was by far the most acceptable. As the work with the pool was started, I was very pleased with the professionalism of Renee who I only had a chance to talk with on the phone but did not have the opportunity to meet her in person. I was equally as pleased with the competence and skill level of the owner, Rick Neff. It is important to note in this review that each time any workers came to my house to do a job, it was always followed up with an immediate visit from Rick to make sure that the job was done correctly and to his specifications, Rick's work ethic and professionalism came through in everything that was done with the pool. The pool was completed ahead of schedule, which of course is always a good thing especially when you have the 4th of July coming and the temps are in the triple digits.
