My husband and I arrived between 7:30 pm and 7:45 pm. The atmosphere was comfortable, uncrowded, and we were seated quickly. As soon as we were seated, they served freshly homemade nachos with a delicious salsa. We ordered a soft drink and strawberry lemonade, and they kept refilling our drinks. The service was truly excellent, fast, and consistently friendly and kind. My husband ordered the special of the day, chicken tacos, and I ordered the molcajete. Both dishes are pictured. We have been eating at this restaurant for the past three years, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and consistent, with no change in the great taste. This restaurant deserves to be visited at least once a week. It's a beautiful hidden gem. This was our first time eating here. We met family from out of town. This place is not a looker for sure. Inside is much better. There was 8 of us in our party and we were seated right away. This menu is quite large and took us awhile to figure out what we wanted. Food was decent, but we probably wouldn't return due to the location. Our server was nice and kept drinks refilled. The bathroom left something to be desired. Not clean and very tiny. I just talked to my family that came out of town to meet us there. They all had sour stomachs on their long drive home. My cousin said the reason he rushed to the restroom the chicken in the tacos were dry and stringy. He was choking. He also mentioned bathroom was gross. My original pick was Yard house in Palmdale should have stuck with that. read more

This Azteca Restaurant has poor Quality Control and bad management. The Antelope Acres Lancaster CA location we've gone to for years has gone downhill as of 2024. I received a chicken enchilada and got a surprise, maybe it was a pebble - nope - a chicken neck vertebra , wait ... 4 chicken neck vertebrae. DISGUSTING. I pointed this out to server and manager and neither seemed surprised or interested in correcting the error. We'll be reporting to the Health Dept. read more

This truly is a hidden gem! This is a family owned business! They have several locations! The recipes have been around for generations! Ask Brian! He will tell you the complete Family History! Love this place and glad to be back. We enjoyed the guacamole to start with along with their homemade salsa, one of my favorites in the AV. A couple horchatas to drink set the scene, and then we ordered salad with extra blue cheese dressing. I think I taste some dill in there, but whatever, Mr. Picky loves it. I'm repeating my order of last week with the deep fried snapper, ugly-looking but tasty :-), while he's trying the fried shrimp for the first time and loving it. A diamond in the rough!! On the way back to Palmdale from Tehachapi the boyfriend and I decided to stop here and boy am I glad we did! Restaurant is clean and organized with plenty of tables. Service was excellent! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. Chips and salsa were tasty. I got the Molcajete and although it didn't come in a Molcajete it was still BOMB! Exterior is deceiving. Give this place a shot. Authentic Mexican food is on point, they never miss a beat. Joey, Rafa, and Gabby are our regular servers and are so attentive. Drinks never get to the bottom. They are visibly always available, whether helping another table or rounding and asking if your table needs anything. Have never been disappointed here. Cafe Azteca used to be Azteca Mexican restaurant which recently open in a new location down the street. The original location is now open for breakfast and lunch Wed-Sun. 7-1 I believe. Same family owned business. Same friendly service. Same quality food but with a different menu focused on breakfast and lunch. Anytime I can I stop by for what I consider to be one of the best biscuits and gravy plates anywhere. read more

Sooo yum. My mother eats here regularly and I finally tried it today cinco De mayo! Everything was delicious next time I'm getting the mocajete my mom's bf gets that everytime and I get why, it was so flavorful. U can either get whole beams or refried both are delicious but the whole beans on another level! Salsa was chunky and not too watery just how i likes it. Also got a long island tea but with some cranberry and it was perfectly mixed and not weak at all.loved it!I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews idk if many people know about it then? We whent today Sunday September 15 we wanted to eat and have a couple of drinks , the place seemed nice so we made our way to the bar , restaurant side was very laud , we order a margarita it was very sour not good at all so we waited and waited like 20 minutes no one came back to take our order , so we decided to leave when we complain about no one taking our order the waitress said she was very busy with a big party so to me they don't care about customer service at all we ask for the manager a nice lady try to tell us the manager only comes in sometimes ..... the worst experience ever terrible customer service and the aditutt they don't care , we go out 5 to 6 days a week and wanted to try a new place ... we will not be ever going back ever planty of good place to enjoy a night out .... the manager should be there more often read more

The food is always good here and we have been a customer since they were at the smaller place. The one BIG thing I noticed now is the prices! I realize it's not cheap to grow the business, but the combo plates are around $13.00. A two taco plate with rice and beans is close to $15.00. I can see why this place has so many 5-star reviews. I stumbled across it on a trip back from the Sierra and it is outstanding! The food is as good as it gets and the portions are extremely generous. This place has a lot of potential. The food was really good. I think they just have some work to do. There were a ton of employees (I counted 11 on the floor) and they were struggling to keep up. They were busy, but with the right leadership this place could be great. That is exactly what it looked like, unorganized chaos.
