Our cheese free veggie pizza and glass of house red wine. (Can't beat their prices for their house red!)

This was our second visit to Azorean, and it continues to be a charming spot for a hearty meal. The cozy interior was especially welcoming on a cold day. As a vegan, I do wish there were more plant-based options, though the grilled vegetables were quite good--we chose them with linguine instead of rice. We ordered the Mediterranean salad without feta, but it still arrived with cheese. I was able to remove it; however, my partner has a severe dairy allergy, so it's important to double-check that dietary requests are clearly understood. We had mentioned we were vegan, but when we ordered the veggie pizza, we didn't confirm it would be made without cheese, which was our oversight. We ended up giving that pizza to family and ordered another without cheese, and it was delicious. Overall, I'm giving Azorean four solid stars for the warm atmosphere, good service, and tasty food. We hope to see more plant-based options added in the future.

What a lovely restaurant. We were kind of early for dinner, but seated immediately and treated very well. Inside and outside the restaurant id decorated with beautiful hand-painted tiles from Portugal. My friend enjoyed roast scrod with "punche" potatoes. I had the equivalent of a seafood paella. All very delicious. A great experience overall.

My first time trying Azorean food and it won't be my last. We made a reservation and our table was ready when arrived. Our server was very friendly and gave some great suggestions since it was our first time trying out Azorean food. We started out with calamari for appetizers and they were tender. They were under seasoned but a little salt and pepper fixed it. Sauce was sprinkled on one side only so we asked for extra sauce to dip our calamari in. They might consider providing the extra sauce on the side when serving. My partner had the Azorean grilled trio. He found the octopus to be perfectly cooked with a perfect balance of tender octopus and the right amount of char. Our server recommended the fish cataplana made with rice. I found it absolutely delicious with a good amount of fish. They had parking on site and there's also street parking available. Atmosphere was very welcoming with many Portuguese decorations. I heard that they serve great pizza but our menu didn't mention them. Our server told us that you have to request the bar menu if you want to order pizza. He also mentioned that you can reserve a table and order off the bar menu.

The bride and groom chose to gather the night before the wedding with family and guests at their favorite pizza place: The Azorean. What a treat for this out-of-towner guest! 16 pizzas ordered! All pizzas were good, but I especially loved the spicy Portuguese sausage. The crust was crispy yet soft, the sauce savory, and the cheese gooey & stretchy! Tony, our waiter, was fantastic! Catering to a large group isn't easy, yet he made sure all was perfect. He was solicitous and everywhere all at once, but never intrusive, as everyone connected over their drinks and pizza. Overall, a terrific spot for a large group.

Delicious food. Good service . Great experience. Our family enjoyed it immensely! We ordered bread and oil, soup, shrimp and calamari appetizer, shrimp Mozambique and other dishes. Don't have pics of all. The calamari and shrimp were some of the best I have eaten. Lovely meal!

She'd mapped out a perfect little afternoon and evening, starting with an indoor market that was full of local art and vintage charm. By the time we wrapped up there, we were hungry. With so many restaurant options around, we chanced it and landed here. The moment you step inside, you're hit with that scent of garlic and seafood. My kid and I gave each the 'look' that said: this is it! Casa Portugal is inviting and decorated in soft blues+whites giving a coastal feel and the service equally matched the energy perfectly: attentive and kind. Our plump and juicy shrimp in tomato sauce starter was rich and full of garlic. It was the kind of appetizer where you find yourself wanting extra bread just to sip up that garlicky sauce. For our main plates, my kid picked the grilled octopus, and I went with the sea bream. The octopus was "like butta," and had that perfect char on the outside but silky inside. My sea bream was nice and I particularly liked that they got rid of the head and tail for me. Both our man plates by the way- had a nice amount of potatoes and steamed vegetables. And here's another part that really stood out- pricing. For the quality and freshness of the seafood, everything felt reasonable. All in all, come to Casa P. for a good meal. From the moment you walk in and smell that garlic in the air to that last bite of seafood, it really delivers on every level.

We started off with a pitcher of sangria, as did many other couples around us. The sangria was delicious, one of the better ones I've had. Fruitful and sweet, very refreshing. They bring bread to your table to start, it was very good especially with some butter and olive oil on top. I do wish it were toasted or warmed but it was still fresh. We also ordered the appetizer, Chouriço Assado no Fogareiro (Grilled Portuguese Sausage). This came to us straight off the flame and was nice and hearty. I ordered off of the specials menu, Bacalhau com natas (Cod with Portuguese cream). It was very yummy, fresh fish and a light cream. It came with salad but I asked for rice. Instead of substituting the waitress gave me both and charged an extra $5...oh well. Salad was good and rice too. My boyfriend got the Filetes de Peixe (Fried fish filet with salad, rice & potatoes). He enjoyed his too! Those potatoes were yummy. We chose fish and most of the tables around us did too. We skipped on dessert although all looked great. This place was quite charming inside and definitely is an awesome place to enjoy dinner. It was busy so we were lucky to snag a table as it's not big inside. We did feel as this cooking was very homemade and although super tasty and lovely inside, I wouldn't consider it fine dining. I would revisit!

The menu is not huge, but it has enough for you to be satisfied. Beverages include beer and soft drinks, a small selection of wines, many of which are Portuguese, and sangria, red and white. Note that the prices of the wines and the sangria are not on the menu. We ordered the red sangria, which comes by the glass, and if I recall is approximately $9.45/glass. It's delicious and quite strong. Our appetizer was the cod cakes, which could just as easily be described as "cod cake tots" due to their size, but they're also priced "tot size" at $1.75 each. The Portuguese style meals are typically chicken, beef, or various types of seafood, generally served with a tomato based sauce with onions and peppers, on your choice of pasta or rice. Potatoes will also come with some meals. Our dinners came out VERY quickly, just about the time we were finished with the codfish tots. Dinner plus the appetizer and sangria came to about $45 each adding tax and tip, a reasonable amount for the quality of the food and atmosphere.
