Have brought several items here over the past couple years. It's true, they do take longer than expected. But they have been very fair with explaining the limitations of trying to fix oddball issues and they have gone above and beyond for me on all of my repairs. I understand people want quick turnarounds, but if you set your expectations that what you're bringing them is basically garbage and they are able to recover it for you- you're better off. If it can not be repaired, it's the same as when you take it to them. So be fair when critiquing the service. So many negative reviews? These guys are always friendly and get the job done. I would give no stars, if I could. I emphatically urge people to NOT take your items here. Go *anywhere* else. I dropped my Alienware laptop, a new motherboard, and the charger off to them so they could replace it for me. I knew what the issue was. My laptop worked just fine that morning when I brought it in (minus the display not working due to the EDP ribbon connection on the original motherboard being damaged). I told them what the issue was and what I had already done to address the problem. Then they told me "Oh. We don't give receipts to the customer when they drop things off." I made them give me one anyhow listing what was wrong and what I had dropped off. I needed my laptop for graphics work. For *3* months I waited for it to be fixed. I had to continually call or go in. Nothing. I was told "this isn't working, this is wrong, and now we're getting these errors, it never worked from the time you brought it in..." etc. I took a friend and went in to get my laptop back and was told no one was there to put it back together for me. I told the girl to get someone in to do it or I'd take it all in pieces and put it all back together myself and I wasn't leaving until I had it. She did. She also called the owner, Jack, to let him know. He showed up and gave me the run around but explained they were trying to 'order parts from the manufacturer of the chip set, NOT Dell/Alienware' and that there was a shortage of available parts due to the Pandemic. And when I told him he was causing me to lose money from not being able to work, he offered me a 'comparable' laptop. Why I wasn't offered this to begin with, despite my mentioning I needed it for work, I have no idea. They gave me a crappy old i5 laptop which can't do the graphics I need done. I kept calling and going in and they kept telling me "Oh, Jack's looking at this himself, so, you can call him." Which I did. I always got the same song and dance routine. The last time I was told "Oh, it looks like your work order and equipment have been placed on 'Archive' status." I called Jack directly, again, and told him I would be bringing them to court for the *$2300+* of equipment I dropped off to them and that I was not paying for any repairs at this point. He *screamed* at me over the phone and told me he'd happily trade me back my broken laptop for the loaner, but he wanted to try one more time to get it fixed. So, I gave him a week or so to see if he could do it. I have heard absolutely *Nothing* since then and my calls to him go unanswered now.. At this point it's been over a year since I dropped it off. From reading the reviews I can see that I am not the only one that they have done this to. I will continue to warn everyone about their work 'practices'. I'm reporting them to the BBB, and I urge everyone that has this experience to do the same, as well as any other steps needed. read more

Would give negative stars if option. This place has the worst customer service. The owner is the biggest liar. Brought my laptop in to see if it could be repaired. After 1 month I was told the owner still needed to look at it. 2 months I was told they had part, just waiting to get repaired. 3 months the owner said he was waiting on part (thought they already had). Then after couple more months I was told that it was shipped to a "warehouse " since I didn't return any of their call. The thing is, they never called. We have dealt with them multiple times. We like what they have been able to do for us, especially restoring hard drives and keeping our 2 power house computers up-to-date. They will get my 5th star when we deal with them again and they are more responsive with their communication, and aggressively letting us know the status of our computers and quotes (by the way, still haven't got my quote for purchasing a server.) Pretty much plan on caring the weight of the communication if you drop of your computer, you will have to be the one to call and keep checking on status. They are a good computer store. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE I dropped my laptop off almost four months ago and still have not got it back. I took it in t simply replace my "A" key in the keyboard. They offered to clean my entire laptop because it needed it, so I went ahead with doing that. A month later I get a call saying my hard drive is destroyed and the computer doesn't work at all. I said well ok how long till you fix it? (Assuming they are repairing the damages they made) Just to find out they are saying it NEVER worked when I dropped it off. COMPLETE LIE. I am an active duty service member and I used my laptop every day for online college (including the day I dropped it off) and they are telling me it never worked and they will not fix it on their behalf. Now I can't even get them to call me back, this is serious do not take your electronics here. read more

Don't waste your time with Aych. I dropped my tablet off on Saturday to have the screen replaced. I was told that someone would call me on Monday to tell me how much the repair would be. No one called. I called Tuesday morning and they said they would call me back in 10minutes. I waited for an hour, no call. So I drove over to the Lacey store and there was a sign on the door, back at 11:30! They returned at 11:45. I told the lady that I was there to pick up my tablet. She acknowledged speaking with me earlier, but that was about it. I took my tablet to 4th Dimension and I get to pick it up on Friday. Zero stars. read more

I've went to AYCH multiple times for computer issues. Let me start off by saying that the staff at the store are very friendly and nice. However, here are some issues I've ran into: - Cost Changes: Whenever I brought my laptop into the shop, I was given a cost as to how much I'd have to pay for repairs. The prices were low ($25 for first, $35, $45), but when I came to pay, I was told a different price (the new cost would increase by $40-60, sometimes even more). When I asked why it cost as much as it did, they would state that's just simply how much it costs. But when I told them the initial cost I was told, they would tell me that the deal doesn't exist or I was never offered such a deal. I would then tell them which staff member told me the initial cost, then I would be told that they performed additional services for my laptop (I was not contacted beforehand nor was I asked) such as cleanings, diagnostics, etc., and that this was the reason why the prices were higher. Sometimes, if the staff member was there (the one who told me the initial cost), they would clear things up and I was able to pay for the initial cost. Other times, if they performed additional services such as cleanings, I would pay the higher price because it seemed reasonable to me. However, this changing of costs seemed to happen each time I went there. This was the reason that lead me to go elsewhere for services. My thoughts are this: a higher price is okay! I just don't want to deal with the prices fluctuating, from what I was told versus what I have to pay. (It comes as a big surprise at the counter!) And if the price does go up due to additional services, that's fine! I just want to know beforehand (like a call) letting us know what services were performed, and preferably, if we could have a call before services are done to ask us if we'd like to have one. -Installation of Programs + Deletion of your files/programs: I wasn't told of any changes to my laptop, and only found out after I asked due to my laptop being different (and missing some files). If some programs need to be installed and or removed for better protection, that's okay, but please tell us. If I had known beforehand, and if it were possible, I would have liked to have made backups to prevent loss. -Questionable Installations? (Important) Some of the programs that were installed into my laptop from AYCH were Malwarebytes, Avast, CCleaner, and many others. I asked about these new programs, and was told that they were for cleaning and protection, and that I should keep all of them. (Note: I only found out yesterday but you should only keep one cleaning program, as having multiple can cause them to interfere with one another and can cause problems + slowdowns of your laptop.) A few days ago, I got a Bluescreen. After taking it to a different repair shop, I was told that whatever I had installed had caused my laptop to Blue. What had I installed? What Avast told me to do. I had received a notification from Avast stating I had to update CCleaner and another program (programs installed by AYCH), I clicked "okay", and after my laptop updated, it Blued. The new shop told me that the programs on my laptop (the ones mentioned) seemed to have come from questionable sources. (I did not tell him that someone else had installed these for me (he thought I had installed them), and he was the one to bring up the programs first.) When I asked further about these programs + how it may have caused the problem, he said that the programs seemed legit, but was probably not downloaded from a secure site, thus, whenever the programs updated, it would sometimes install additional programs and viruses (without me knowing) that caused issues for my laptop. In regards to this issue, I do not think it was necessarily done on purpose or with malintent or ill-will. It could have been a mistake! I am, however, bringing this issue forward as it's important to address + look into to prevent from happening again. - Communication/Customer Service: I was told I would receive a call for updates + when my laptop would be ready for pick up, but I would rarely receive calls, and I would instead, have to call them. One instance, a week had passed with no word, I called, and was told they needed more time. Another week passed, I called, and repeat. When I came to pick it up, however, the repair staff told me the laptop had been fixed the day after I left it, and they were just waiting for me to come back for it. All in all, I think these issues are important to address, but are definitely fixable. read more

dropped my daughters laptop in aug 2020. ive been calling every month for updates, everytime i call i get told "oh the owner will give you a call"! never got a call until 11/20/2020 telling me they can't fix the laptop! i wish i could have gotten this call a little sooner as she needed this laptop for school and school started awhile back. If I was not told by the owner himself that he has ordered a part and it is on its way I would have picked up the device a long time ago! unfortunately the Owner himself told me to my face that he will do everything and has already started the process! My roommate's ASUS laptop slowed way down and kept freezing,and I called AYCH electronics about repairing it pronto as she uses it daily for business and really needed it back in a timely manner. They were very accommodating and got it in right away diagnosed it and had it fixed and back in her hands in just a couple of days!! Not only that,they put anti malware on it and ONLY charged $50! Took my laptop in 3 times. First for power problems, then they said it had a virus and needed to be cleaned. Got it back, had the same initial problems, they asked me to bring it back in and I did. Then they fixed the problem, yay. Oh wait they gave me a pirated version of windows. Don't go to this place, they will always find problems to fix for your $50. First of all, you cannot get better rates from anywhere else than you can at AYCH Electronics. Not only are their service rates unbeatable, but they provide free warranty for their sales and genuinely make sure they get your brought in computers working up to speed. I brought in my old desktop and had to get it cleaned up and get power supply replaced, and I remember not spending more than a $100. When I needed a new computer, Jack set me up with a new laptop and had all my programs and their virus protection programs put on their as complementary. They have contracts with manufacturers and their deals are better than what you get at best buy or 4th dimension or wherever. And by the way I had no problem communicating with Jack, he had always returned my calls.
