The techs sent to our home were organized and efficient as well as being highly knowledgeable and professional. My last interaction with Desco was several days ago. I was calling Desco to sort out a technical issue which was beyond my expertise. I was fortunate that Dick Tappenden answered the phone. In a matter of minutes Dick was able to sort out the issue (sight unseen!) thereby restoring the audio and video connections to the large screen Sony television we had purchased from Desco several years earlier. I highly recommend Desco for your A/V needs.

I'd recommend Shawn to anyone: his knowledge, efficiency, customer engagement, and outcomes…read moredelivered are outstanding. He's a networking and IT superstar. Costs: If you are upgrading your home network or other capability, and need to buy new/more gear, Shawn doesn't charge a markup on the equipment. In fact, once he's designed your solution he will provide you with links to the exact products required and let you buy them directly from the vendors if desired. Or he'll buy them himself and present you with the receipts. Hourly rate: With the skills Shawn possesses, his hourly rate is substantial. And it should be. However, you can still bring your project in at a very reasonable cost PROVIDED you can be a smart customer. By this I mean you must be clear on the capabilities you want to achieve--or at least be able to listen to Shawn describe what's possible and then make rapid decisions. If instead you want a lot of customer education, Shawn can do that too because he knows an immense amount about IT and can communicate effectively. However, it's a bit like paying for a neurosurgeon to teach you about the types of aspirin available to treat a headache. That doesn't make sense; get a nurse instead! In my case, my wife and I work from the house. My goals were to increase the reliability of our home network. We wanted better maintainability (so when the internet goes down I can rapidly identify the problem and fix it). We wanted better network security. I wanted to add a home security camera because of problems with car prowls, etc. And finally, I wanted to move our networking gear out of our super-hot furnace room to a cooler and cleaner location. This was a lot. Other vendors had previously failed to come up with an affordable solution--or any solution at all. Shawn showed us how to do it for a very reasonable sum. Once we had a plan, I was able to control costs by getting a carpenter friend to open up the wall and pull wires through to the new location for the gear. Shawn also kept costs down by allowing me to provide extra hands as he mounted gear on the wall, connected all of our wireless access points to the new console, etc. These steps all require two people. Shawn was willing to let me help and he even maintained a high level of wit and good-natured ribbing throoughout the long day of work. In sum: great outcome, great satisfaction, great price. Photo: New network system including: cable modem; device handling routing, security, network management, and recording of camera images; 24-port switch; and backup power supply.

I discovered CI Tech LLC online and verified their credentials using the Washington state contractor lookup tool. Additionally, I reviewed feedback on Google My Business and Yelp for further assurance. I contacted the company's owner, Aiden Won, through their website's contact page. Aiden responded within 48 hours, which I found acceptable. We arranged a meeting at my house for Aiden to assess the installation logistics and options. He asked me to consider potential camera placements beforehand. During our first meeting, Aiden's thorough assessment of my home for potential security system setups was impressive. He examined every angle and placement possibility, demonstrating his commitment to understanding the project. After Aiden's initial visit, we maintained consistent communication. Aiden was not only flexible when I suggested an alternate location for the NVR, but also provided valuable input on the system setup, demonstrating his dedication to meeting my needs. On installation day, Aiden and his colleague Michael arrived punctually at 10:30 a.m. and worked diligently until 8 p.m. They were friendly and sought my opinion on camera placement and other preferences. When unpacking the cameras, Aiden realized that his supplier had forgotten to include brackets for two cameras. He also encountered some software issues that required manufacturer support. Aiden devised a plan B to resolve these issues and assured me he would return to install the final components once the parts arrived. Two days later, with the necessary parts in hand, Aiden and Michael returned to complete the installation. They worked from 2:30 to 7 p.m. They adjusted the doorbell camera angle as requested. Aiden also addressed software and camera issues, optimizing the system settings. After setup, he ensured all cameras were correctly positioned and provided detailed instructions on managing and maintaining the system. It was clear that Aiden and Michael placed high demands on themselves to deliver quality work, which was very reassuring for me. I am extremely satisfied with the surveillance system that Aiden and Michael installed. The entire experience, from design to installation, was seamless. The software, monitoring screen, and cameras are functioning superbly. Aiden took additional time to educate me on the software and how I could best maintain the system so it will last for a long time. I highly recommend considering CI Tech LLC for your future home or business projects. Working with Aiden was effortless from start to finish. He made designing the system, choosing products, and deciding on camera placement straightforward and stress-free. I am very pleased with the installed system and reassured by Aiden's commitment to providing ongoing support and assistance with future upgrades if needed. CI Tech LLC is a dependable and customer-friendly choice for home technology projects. I believe you will be very satisfied with their work and outstanding customer care, as I have!

I've had to bring my beloved laptop in for maintenance a few times now (keyboard needed to be fully…read morereplaced the first time, the second time was last week to wipe some malware off of it) and both times I've had my case handled by the same guy, TJ! Not only did both cases get handled superbly, but he offered regular check-ins about the process while asking about anything I forgot to mention to be sure he had the full picture, and he was more than happy to explain what he was doing and why (which I always find very fun!). The keyboard replacement was $125 and the malware wipe was $175--the original estimate I'd gotten for the malware wipe was much higher, but he handled everything like the pro he is and got my laptop back to me as quick as he could. I've also sent a phone in to be repaired, and while unfortunately it couldn't be saved even with part replacements ("catastrophic internal failure" type stuff), he DID try as many things as he could think of to try to get it working again which I am incredibly grateful for. He also put me on the path to people who might be able to extract my data despite the state of my phone! This whole deal was $87. This shop is thorough in their work and the workplace has the kind of vibe you get when the people working there actually enjoy it. Definitely the kind of place I'd ACTUALLY recommend to friends and family, not just saying so on the non-existent exit questionnaire. You'll be in good hands here--even if they can't fix it, they'll still point you in the right direction.
