Glad I found this place. The food and coffee were delicious. Service was very attentive. I was there at an odd time don't was slow and I can't speak to how busy or loud it might get. I look forward to coming back to try more things.
I've been rockin out brunch here for a few. Staff is lovely. Space is solid and cleanly. Great for one-on-one meetings and groups. Eggs benny, to omelets to over easy- tastiness them all. There's a sourdough bread option. There's WiFi for when you want to work solo. They've fun bar high tops and booths. Their table side haute sauce is tasty being vinegar forward. Love their fresh squeezed juices. Excellent coffee options. I see a lot of pancakes and carafes of mimosas ordered here. Alt milks? They got 'em. Parking in the retail lot. Enjoy!
We chose Awake because it was close to our son's apartment and had good reviews. Honestly, when we walked in it didn't seem like much and wasn't t busy at 10 am on a Sunday. That changed with the service which was really good. I started with a hot latte and it was good but too small. I needed it to be bigger. Tasted good though. The four of us had some good choices. I opted for the spinach bacon mushroom omelet and a side of grits. They both were good and I'm very particular about my grits too. Finished the whole plate. The crab cake Benedict was good and they also like the deluxe egg sandwich. Overall a really nice experience and I was impressed that the prices were reasonable.
Phenomenal breakfast spot. Originally tried going to another brunch spot but the wait times was way too long, so happy we stumbled upon this place. The food here was incredibly tasty. I ordered the huevos rancheros with a side of gritz- this dish was easily the highlight of my meal. It's consists of chorizo, refined beans, a floured tortilla, sour cream, avocado, etc. the point is it was delicious. The gritz were also a pleasant surprise- they were cooked way better than I was expecting. I also ordered a single pancake. The portion was huge. I couldn't finish the whole thing but it was quite tasty. I really enjoyed my breakfast here. It was amazing. I broke my diet to eat here and I have 100% NO REGRETS!
I wanted to come to Awake this morning because some local Yelpers who I respect came here and said it was pretty good. I like coming to places early on Sunday mornings to avoid the craziness of many breakfast places. When I walked in I immediately sensed a nice pleasant atmosphere and ambiance. It's pleasantly warm and welcoming. The music is not overly loud and while upbeat, is pleasant. There is a flat panel displaying underwater ocean scenes adding to the relaxing vibe. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and chose potatoes as my side. My eggs were slightly overcooked, as a great Benedict's yolks run when cut into. The English Muffin was not as fresh as I would have liked either. The ham used was delicious. The overall taste of the dish was pretty much on. The potatoes were good as well. Rolando my server did a great job. He was attentive and engaging.
Breakfast is my favorite meal the day. And I'm an eggs, Benedict lover connoisseur all of that stuff. It took us a long time to get our seats. Not because they were busy because they just seemed like they might've been a little bit unorganized. The food was good because we were so hungry. BEST Blueberry Pancakes EVER! Great overall experience. This spot has a nice, clean, chill vibe to it; it's couple or family friendly. The staff are friendly and attentive. I ordered the Blueberry Pancake with Turkey Sausage and Egg Whites. This large 10" blueberry pancake has to be the best I have ever had. It comes with a blueberry compote that elevates the taste even more. I'm shocked at how good it tastes without being overly sweet and syrup is not necessary for this one. The turkey sausage was pretty good, too! I cleaned my plate out and didn't feel bad about it. I left feeling content. Side note: they have this Kale Kicker that's worth a try! And no, it doesn't taste kale-y.
Atmosphere: Located in a little strip mall, Awake is a bright cheery spot to have breakfast. 1 Star Service: I was welcomed as soon as I walked in and allowed to sit wherever I pleased. My waitress was quick to my table and never left me wanting for anything. She did her job as if she actually enjoyed being there. 2 Stars Food: I wasn't overly adventurous this morning, so all I ordered was an omelette. The omelette was their signature "Awake Omolette." It came with sausage, smoked ham, bacon, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and jack and cheddar cheese. Supposed to come topped with sour cream, but I opted for salsa (which was good) on top of mine. You also get your choice of side and an English muffin. I got the potatoes, which were well seasoned and crispy. The muffin was perfect. 2 Star
I hate to admit the hype people have given this restaurant baffles me. We had passed it a couple of times and it always seemed to be packed. I finally decided to try it out after a coupon was given to give them a try at a discounted price. To be fair their cost for an average breakfast is very affordable but still not worth the expense. My beverage of choice was the KALE KICKER $5 Fuji apple, kale, cucumber, and lime blended in- house daily. - The drink was very fresh but a little overpriced, but the rest of their other beverages were all close to the same amount if not more. MEDITERRANEAN FRITTATA $11.29 An open-faced, egg white omelet filled with all-natural chicken, house-roasted tomatoes, Mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with dressed greens and an English muffin. (540 Cal) - This meal was so bland, my frittata did have maybe one tomato and a small spoon of chicken in the center. I made it halfway and gave up, and that's when I discovered "Oh there is chicken in this!" I'm not sure where they think this frittata is mediterranean nothing of flavor or spice was added to just the plain fried egg. The greens were just arugula with a simple vinaigrette at least the greens were fresh, but not impressed after the frittata fail. CHICKEN & WAFFLES $13.00 My other half had the saddest chicken tender meal I've ever seen! The breading was thin but not seasoned but at least it wasn't overcooked. The waffle was doughy, people do like that, I wasn't a fan, he was. My favorite part of both of our meals combined was the gravy he was given! That was good for sure and had a homemade flavor quality to it. Overall, our meal was given at a discount thanks to the coupon BUT not a fan of the bland and lower quality food. The environment was neatly organized and had some cutesy appeal. The staff was super friendly. - another downside, was the cleanliness, one of the mugs provided on our table still had lipstick stains from a previous customer!
So service was good, at least with my server. Especially with me being solo, often you'll find they don't really pay you much attention, however mine was very attentive to me despite me being just one person. Love that! She suggested the Monterrey Benedict, which was really good. The potatoes were a little mediocre as they lacked flavor and seasoning, and seemed to be a little undercooked (they weren't as brown and crispy as I prefer). Nothing a little ketchup and hot sauce couldn't fix! The pomegranate mimosa was mostly champagne, so no complaints there! LoL Overall I'll be back since it's right near my apartment but not rushing here with friends or anything.
This was the most okay-est breakfast place I've been to in the area, but maybe it was the time of day I went. It kind of looked like diner meets Pinterest aesthetic. It was empty in the restaurant except maybe two or three other tables there, it just felt awkward and unwelcoming. And the server (don't remember names) was very plain, cut, and dry. I ordered the crab cake Benedict because I'm obsessed with trying all sorts of benny's, but this one was not it. I love crab, but not imitation crab and I should have chosen something else. I mean, it wasn't awful, the eggs were poached very nicely. It just tasted especially fishy. I'm not opposed to visiting again and trying more things another time though, just this time was not a hit for me.
We came here over the weekend to have a brunch date. It was honestly a little subpar. The food wasn't hot, just lukewarm, so it didn't taste super fresh. We both got benedict's with potatoes as the side and the potatoes were not crispy, more on the mushy side. The french toast with fruit tasted stale and kinda hard. The frozen peach cocktail drink they had was good in flavor and refreshing though, prob the best item we ordered. Service was attentive and inside is really cute, clean, and modern but maybe they just had an off food day.
Reviews are largely positive. People praise the delicious food, friendly attentive service, and clean and welcoming atmosphere. Portions are generous, and prices are seen as reasonable.

This is my and my SO's go-to brunch restaurant. I absolutely love breakfast food, and they don't let me down! I would strongly recommend trying the eggs benedict here. It's one of the best I've had! The service is fast, but you might have to ask to get a refill on your water. Not a big deal. I still enjoyed my breakfast, and it doesn't keep me from coming back! With great service and really good food, this place usually never disappoints. Check out the pics! The plates look great and taste great. They even have a private room and senior discounts. You can be bad or good here. They have a section for healthy stuff. My recommendation on that list is the Vera Cruz Omelet (sub diced ham). My second choice (not on the list) is the Colorado Scramble. They swear it's under 650 calories. That thing is DAMN good. I'm drooling on my keyboard thinking about it. You know how some places have really good coffee? This place has it., No fancy lattes, just a really good brewed coffee. My flavor is hazelnut. There may be stains in the bottom of the mugs, so look before hand and just get a new cup. No big deal, Good people watching too. You can't ever go wrong with this place. My friend ask me if I wanted to go out for breakfast and I said sure. I am a big breakfast person but it happens at the same place most days so I was looking forward to a new place. She found Awake on Yelp and ask me if I was good with it which I was. I told her I had been to this location several times before when it was The Egg and I. I would say the Awake experience was good but nothing outstanding. I had the Awake omelette which was just fine and she had the Eggs Benedict which she seemed to enjoy. We shared a piece of French toast which was pretty good. It was quite slow in the restaurant and the temperature was a little warm. I sleep early to wake up for breakfast I wake up early to eat breakfast I fast for dinner to be hungry for breakfast Egg & I is this breakfast. WOWOW was this an experience. I got the Cambridge Skillet and it was so tasty and spectacular in every way. Smoked ham, bacon, eggs layered with cheddar cheese and topped with creamy hollandaise sauce. THEN you get a bisquit. I personally switched it out for a toasted croissant which was a beautiful decision. Its $10 and well worth every cent. You will come out full and very satisfied. Great great bang for your buck. My only concern is the service. Terrible waiter. Barely checked on us. Prematurely gave us the check and was no where to be found when we needed to go boxes. This was enough to subtract a star. A step up from ihop, but wasn't particularly impressed either. Diner style service and tasty pricing. They do not serve mimosas or Bloody Marys... I did like that try give you your own pot of coffee instead of having to be constantly on the lookout for someone. The corn beef hash was bland and unimpressive. Next time I will try one of their Benedicts or skillets. The gf got a holiday waffle and said it was good. The bacon wasn't anything special. She did say that the scrambled eggs were exceptionally tasty, but I always get mine over easy, so I can't attest to that. With so many other breakfast options in the area, it may be a while before we try this one again. read more

Excellent choice of brunch if you are looking for great food and modern cafe/coffeeshop style ambience. Everything we ordered was excellent- deluxe egg sandwich, Parisian benedict, and a side of pancake. The food came out fast and hot, and the egg sandwich especially blew me away. I'm typically not a fan of ordering sandwiches at a brunch place (too much bread) but this sandwich was superb. Very beautifully crafted sandwich with buttered sourdough bread, egg, slice of tomato, cheese, bacon, ham, and a layer of Mayo. All the flavors combined were very tasty and impressionable. To me, if a restaurant can convert me to favoring something I typically wouldn't, it's a good place. The Parisian benedict was unique as it was made with sliced croissant bread instead of the typical English muffin and with Swiss cheese. Car broke down and I was starving and lucky for me this place was within walking distance. It's a clean place with plenty of seating. Coffee is good and food too! Prices seem Average for this type of place. I got a waffle with fruit and eggs and sausage. The sausage was really good. One thing I have to have is good coffee and this was. I did find out upon leaving they have flavors of coffee too. Didn't see that on the menu so will be trying that next time. Most meal average just around 10.00 they are large servings read more

The food was seasoned okay. The grits was seasoned well but watery, it was like soup. It can just be a preference thing for me, I like my grits medium to thick. The Benedict was good just not hot which would've made it better. My favorite was the pancake. It had apples baked in it. It was good enough for me to go back again but it wouldn't be first on my list. I give it 3.5 stars. I'm not sure it this will make @toyatastes my foodie page read more

Oh my it was our very first time eating here for lunch and I loved it. The pancakes were large but good so I was only able to eat a half. Of course I had strawberries, whip cream and powder sugar on them. The bacon was crispy and just the way I like it. The fresh fruit was on point and I loved my omelet. My husband had no complaints as always. He had waffles with the seasoned potatoes skillet and stuff. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any sweet tea.. I've been coming to the Egg & I for about nine years now and my go to dish is the Santa Fe Huevos ( new name is Huevos Ranchero) You've got to try it! My son's go to dish is the single waffle and bacon! The manager and the wait staff are very kind and a few of the waiters have become friends of my family. Some say you can get a cheaper breakfast else where and yes, I agree that may be true. However, treat yourself and family to a great breakfast with a comfy down home environment. This place was good. It's a healthier breakfast option which I appreciate. The hot coffee was fresh and I appreciate that she asked my daughter if she wanted her ice coffee bitter or more on the sweet side. Def the best eggs Benedict combination I've ever had (Hiker's Benedict). Service is great, restaurant is clean. Fast service. Pineapple tonic was really refreshing. French toast is delish but huge and can be shared. Potatoes can be cooked a little more so if you like then well cooked asked for it. Overall a should go alone or with family. read more
