Lousy customer service, horrible car purchase on a gray 2015 Limited Ford Explorer. Car never made it home from the day of purchase until several days later. Supposedly the car was ready to go. The car broke down again a couple days later. Car went back and we asked for a different car and that did not happen and Eric wants to keep the $2,000 down payment all because my mom would not accept what he has in stock as we were very clear we needed a 3rd row seat, AWD and rear A/C. He wanted to place her in a Kia Sorento with none of what we originally had requested. At this point is when Eric decided to not look for another car nor refund her $2,000. After looking at other Car Dealers lots in our area of Cottonwood and finding vehicles priced thousands over blue book value, we turned our search to the internet and found a vehicle we liked. It was priced well below other similar vehicles available in our area. Since we were about a 2 hour drive from the Dealer, we called first and asked if they would hold it for 2 hours until we got there. Mario agreed to hold it, so we drove down. When we got there, the vehicle was waiting for our inspection. Eric gave us the keys and let us test drive. It was love at first sight and second sight. I've been looking for a new car. After all the research, after driving a number of different cars, I finally settled, happily, on a Honda CRV. I found an acceptable model at this dealership. And that's when the experience went south. When my husband and I went to take a look at the car the salesman really only spoke to my husband. When I spoke to him I often had to ask my question twice. Strike 1. A week later I called the salesman to make an offer on the car. I reminded him that he'd met us the weekend before and made my offer. He asked for a number where he could reach me and said he'd get back to me. He never did. Maybe if my husband had made the offer... Strike 2. On the third day I called the sales manager. When I asked him if the salesman had not seriously considered my offer because I'm a woman I got "gee, I don't know." That would have been yet another strike but he kept going. Told me my offer was ridiculous and asked if I knew about the blue book. I informed him that, more importantly, I knew about the laws of supply and demand. This guy was incredibly rude as well (because I'm a woman? I wouldn't be surprised). I've run in to this all my adult life. I can explain, in detail that these testosterone-laden troglodytes would probably envy, the workings of the internal combustion engine. Yet as often as not I'm shown the vanity mirrors or told that I don't need to see the engine. Avondale Auto Center was no exception. I wouldn't buy a car from these masochistic men if you paid me. We mentioned a payment coming up on our trade-in, they said it was no problem taking care of paying off the trade-in so there's no late fee on our payments....fast forward a month and I'm here trying to fix their mistakes making sure my credit doesn't go down because they made a mistake and got confused on who sent the check out, which ended up being no one! When I called they said it's a slow process sending checks out, which has me confused why they promised to cover the payment in the first place knowing it would take longer than we had to cover our payment. read more

I bought a use car from them back in June of 2010. I needed a car at that time. Pd. Cash with tax and tags 3,500. Was told the main switch that operates turn signals,wind shield wipers,horn would cost 500.00 but they could get it for 75.00. The part came in and never worked. so...we pd. 400.00 at auto zone. They put the part in. We had to paid for a car rental. Then only the windshield wiper worked. They than had to put a button on the dash for the horn to work.. We forced them to pay for that. We had already paid for struts front breaks, ,new windshield wipers,spark plugs. Car had 2 bent rims. Was told had a new a/c.. Had to pay for a new one. Put 3,000 into car. Was told through them in there response you have a choice of 15 days or 500 miles to return the car through the BBB. That they followed within the guide line of AZ. I had to go through all this after my father in-law died and had to move my family back to N.J. Do not buy a car from them. All the safety issues have to work before you can sell the car in the first place. False and misleading company. Have your car checked out and then decide to buy it. read more

Beware!!!! These guys are as shady as they come!! Lied about the condition of the vehicle! They told me the truck was in excellent condition with no scratches, dents, dings, stains, rips or tears. I drove to their location an hour away from where I live, and when I got there the truck was not as described at all. They claim their vehicles go through an inspection and that they're mechanically sound. Once again not the case. The truck had one error code and also the fuel gauge was broken and needed to be replaced. To make things worse you'd think after all the inconvenience they would step up to make things right, not the case at all. They only became aggressive and rude. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I know have to go back to my bank and return the check for the loan I secured because of their poor business practices. read more

RUN RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE! MARIO, ERIC, AND THE OWNER JERRY ARE ALL SCAM ARTIST. I literally just bought a car from them 2 months ago and within the first week I felt the car hesitating to accelerate. I reported the issue but Mario brushed me off and said it was probably not all the way down in the right gear. Long story short now 2 months later my car is at Cadillac because I was on the freeway one night and my car refused to accelerate on the highway, which AS YOU CAN IMAGINE IS A SCARY SITUATION! I took it to Mario and Eric and Eric literally was soooo DISRESPECTFUL AND TOLD ME BASICALLY JUST TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Long story short my car has transmission problems which Cadillac said should have been taken care of before I bought the car but this placed just brushed the issue under the rug. STRAIGHT SCAM ARTIST! And to top it all off the warranty I bought from them I just found out only covers half of the expenses to repair it! So now I am responsible for paying $4400 out of my pocket to fix a transmission. I will make it my mission to WARN PEOPLE ABOUT THIS PLACE! They are LIARS, AND SCAMMERS. Pretty good selection of decent, semi-older used cars (got a great deal on my 2002 Acura 3.2TL). Andy jumped through hoops (with just as many being jumped through by me) to get me financed, with my ass credit and limited time on my new job. Almost couldn't get it done, but I'd imagine anyone with a decent credit score would have no problems procuring the car of their choice. Zero pressure, no shady tactics, a very relaxed atmosphere (not to mention ice cold AC in the sales office). When I went in to finalize the deal and take my new car home, they pulled out a different sheet of paper to make it look like I had signed under different stipulations and terms. To top it all off they refused to give me my down payment back that night, even though I had paid in $1750 cash just 5 minutes prior to that. I did eventually get all of my money back, but I will never do business there again. They also refused to give me contact information for the owner, so I am still working on that. So I feel I got good value for my money. When you buy a used car, you expect the worst, that you are taking over someone else's problem. Jerry gets some great deals and really loves seeing folks get a car they love for a decent price. Picked up a 2004 Civic from him recently and I'm nothing but happy with the payment plan and the car itself. Well almost totally happy with the car... I'm not so sure about the mechanics there, as they failed to mention the low quality of my break pads which required replacement within weeks of purchase. I hope people read this review as probably the most objective opinion to the fact that the overall experience from beginning to end was disappointing. This happened over a month ago, but have decided to take the time out of my busy schedule to let people know in the Phoenix and Avondale area what happened to me and my family. I was also told there was a recent accident in Phoenix off I-17 where my similar situation happened. The front tire of a truck blew and the man was thrown into a pole right on the freeway. He died unfortunately - First, I have been a life long DISCOUNT TIRE customer and am regretting my decision to try Avondale Auto Center. I was so disappointed with my most recent trip to Avondale Auto Center. My family and I were moving back to Chicago so I felt it would be safe for my family if I got 4 new tires. I made the call to Avondale Auto Center when their manager answered the phone, then inquired about a full set of tires. Once I got there, the price was magically over $20 dollars higher per tire than when I spoke with him on the phone. I should have known at that point there were going to be issues. Being that I had family waiting and was on a tight time schedule to get to Chicago by Monday (3 days) I couldn't really walk out and spend 1/2 day to find a different place. While my family waited, we watched another customer at Avondale Auto Center they know quite well squeeze in ahead of us. So we waited a little longer. While we waited we carried on a light conversation with the staff regarding our trip. We explained that we were moving to Chicago and needed to be there in 3 days. Traveling with children can slow you down, potty breaks, etc. While we waited I watched one of their guys break a stud on my truck. When I brought it to Eric's attention he refused to pay for it to be repaired. Are you kidding me!!!! There was no other way that valve could've been broken except negligence on their part. My husband has worked many years for a tire company in the past which I now regret not going to. His Manager would have stepped up and made sure it was fixed for the customer. So VERY frustrating as we thought we were going to have a pleasant experience but turned into a stressful event. I say event because it didn't stop there. After a few hours we got the tires & were on our way. If I only knew what I was in for . . . We were 400+ miles out of Phoenix when I had a blow out. Out of no where!!! Threw me into on-coming traffic which I used all my strength to keep us in the right lane. The kids were crying and I was beyond upset. THESE WERE BRAND NEW TIRES??? We put on the spare and went into the nearest town. Of course by the time we arrived all the stores were closed and nothing was going to be open till morning so this delayed our travel. The next morning a local mechanic repair place (remember this is a small town) had some tires our size but were older. I'm not going to mention their name as I don't want Avondale Auto Center contacting them. I want to keep them out of the drama - after all it's not their fault. I asked the mechanic to give me his opinion of what happened. Come to find out - they were RE-TREADS!! I paid full price for these tires. Here I am considering driving on - what if it happens again! Not worth getting my family killed over - I didn't trust the other 3 tires - So I again purchased 4 new tires. Funny thing - the retreads didn't have any date on them. A lot of times this information is on the inside of the tire - but these tires had no dates. "Made in China" Of course I called them to inform them of what just happened. Spoke with E___ - short temper I might add - took NO responsibility for this tire. It's hard to fight a situation when you're not in that town. There's plenty of other options within a two mile radius of this shop that won't give you a dishonest experience. 1 star for some rude customer service and for their lack of integrity. Tires were actually re-treads but sold them as Brand New. Buyer Beware!! read more

Just to start things off they worked really hard to get me the loan so I give them props for that but after I got the truck it was down hill from there 4wd truck with no 4wd ac stopped working radio was wired by a 5 year old kid it looked so bad and to top it off the truck was leaning on the drivers side almost 2 inches they offer a 15 day or small mileage warranty so don't trust them when they say they inspect all there vehicles first thing I noticed when I drove off lot didn't even have wipers on the truck lol they put fresh lift on it there and didn't notice the oil leak while on the lift again lol so within 2 days I mention this and no problem well charge the air and fix oil leak so I say sweet get truck back and head to California with family air stops working and I'm stuck in the sand no 4wd that they assured was checked when I was buying so 500 dollars later I'm towed out of sand and brought to ford dealer get back to town after its all fixed in Cali and I tell them about the lean in the truck and oil leak that's still there from day 2 they said we'll look at it they decided to tell me they brought it to body shop it done come pick up truck dosnt lean but where not gonna fix the oil leak woo hoo thanks Eric (owner) I pull up to get my truck and notice still leaning Eric tells me it's the ground its uneven so I get home take my tape measure again and wow almost same measurement when I dropped off I'm not even gonna bother going back I'm gonna promote the shit out of not to buy from them they get at auction throw lift and wax on it and throw them on the lot beware DO NOT GO THERE I'm going to be spreading the word all over social media to all my hunting friends and also talk about it on a few of our hunting shows so no one else in as gets screwed over thinking of even paying someone to stand on sidewalk and hold sign not to buy there hoping news channel 3 picks up my file and does small story on it thx for reading hope this finds people and protects them from probably the worst vehicle buying experience I've had read more

I bought a used 04 Honda accord at the end of February the guy was very polite and tried to get me a good deal. Fell in love with the car when I test drove it. So I put $2000 down on the car. About a month having it my window regulator cable snapped thought no big deal its a used car this stuff happens. Well summer came around ac worked great when I test drove it ac does work until your sitting in rush hour traffic at a standstill then the car starts to over heat so I have to turn it off. Then about a month later I had to buy a battery which was no big deal either it happens. Then a week later my alternator. Then another week later my alarm and all windows stopped working. Now my water pump completely went out. I'm paying over $8000 for a money pit car. Its something new every week. Way too over priced in my opinion I love my car but honestly would probably go elsewhere for my moneys worth. Only good thing is they will work with you and are nice. read more
