    BEST vehicle buying experience in a LONG time! Right from the get go the sales rep was knowledgeable and respectful, to the end (Finance) helped me pick the right option that fit my budget and driving habits. This is my forever dealership from now on!! 2 thumbs up!!!

    I had been reluctantly researching Jeeps because the general consensus for flat tow behind my motorhome was a Jeep. I had read and heard things about a "Jeep" needless to say I probably looked at 30-40 Wranglers and I wanted to be sure about price, mileage and of coarse CARFAX. Not only did JOHNATHON and yes I shouted that because he deserves it he spent 2days with me all over the phone with videos and pics of this Jeep he had picked out for me. The phone conversations with Johnathon were extremely informative, kind and a lot of fun. No BS at all!!!!! I told him that I couldn't get there to look at it or test drive it so what did he do? He delivered it to me from Goodyear to Queen Creek AZ the very next day. Peter the finance guy was great. The manager Andrew called me the day of delivery congratulating me on my purchase.     My wife and I drove from East Mesa to purchase a car. We saw it on line, and we had to verify for ourselves that it really was what was advertised. We emailed and texted with a young man, Adrian Martinez. We hit the jackpot on car and the salesperson. The car was as advertised and Adrian was a very knowledgeable young who knew his stuff.     UPDATE: If I could give a negative star I would. 04-13-25 Bought a 2017 F250 with a 4" lift. Within 72 hours we had a safety issue with death wobble. Called and reported to management and they stated we would have to go through warranty we purchased. Remember, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. We live 125 miles away from Yates, so they took advantage of us not being able to just drive the truck back. We had the front suspension looked at by FORD techs and come to find out.... the aftermarket suspension is 2 different manufactures (APEX & Pro-Comp)... Anyone smart enough should had found this issue when truck went through safety inspection at Yates. So, Yates bought time from the 17th of April telling me they could not help until after Easter Sunday.... No... that was so the deal would get funded & they get PAID!!! So now, I have a truck we cant drive, called warranty and they will not cover the claim due to the issue was there at the time of purchase ALSO... warranty will not cover all the parts due to the lift kit not being OEM parts. So here I sit 04-23-25 with a truck my wife can not drive and enjoy... No one has called us back to follow up or answered any of our calls and text messages. I did receive ONE email on 04-21-25 stating they will give us $200 for the sway bar connectors and it was in good faith and no other money will be given towards the repair.... If I would have known the loan was not funded until 04-21-25..... I would have called the bank and declined the loan.... BUYERS beware!!! Maybe this exposure will get us somewhere!!! I have a stressed out wife looking at her truck she can not enjoy!! Shame on Yates, I know this industry and just basic customer service.... Its time for someone to step up!!!! If they step up and take care of what's right... I would gladly change some of my review..... Update: 04-24-25 still no calls to address this issue, guess we will have to take matters higher up... I cant wait for the lame excuse their customer care will have for this review!! If we would have read these reviews before purchase.... WOULD have never given them my business... One more thing: If you call for the General Manager... they patch you in to a mailbox that is full..... Update: 04-25-25 still no calls from Yates. I have scheduled an appointment at Summit 4X4 in Prescott next week to find out what is causing the death wobble ($200 out of my pocket). I hope people take time to research this dealer before spending ONE dime with them.. seems to just want your money and that's IT!!! Still have an unsafe truck sitting in my driveway... they collected their 37K & they DONT CARE!!! After reading the bad reviews, it seems the customer care has a pre-existing response when they know their actions are wrong and you have documented everything: " We acknowledge your review and are currently looking into the events you've detailed."..... I haven't even got one of those yet!! 04-25-25 @ 11:27 am UPDATE: 04-25-25 4:30pm still nothing from Yates, so I called GMC corporate maybe it will help. I know why this dealership is treating me this way.... I live an hour & 45 minutes away so they figure I'm not going to come back to spend money with them in service so there is no customer loyalty to build... sad, I need to get a hold of the owner some how. Looking into that next.. update: 05-01-25 Summit 4x4 found the vehicle to be unsafe and needs $5,200.00 worth of replacement suspension parts/labor. They took a video of all the loose components. Service adviser found on CARFAX the truck had suspension issues just before the dealer took it in on trade. Trying to contact dealer today!! UPDATE: 05-02-25 tried to get a hold of owner Whitney Yates via phone call to dealership with no response. Tried messaging her twice on instagram (I was polite & just asked for help) and she ghosted me although she is very active on the account. Better Business Bureau has this dealer as A+... very confused, guess people just get tired and give up... Well that's next and whom ever wants to hear about this experience. They are too busy making videos on instagram to answer calls or help people they have screwed. Bought truck 04-13-25 and now 05-03-25 and still no help and no truck to drive. Waiting to see if warranty might pick up the $5200 repair, shame on Yates... SOLD A UNSAFE TRUCK AND LEFT US WITH NOTHING BUT THANKS FOR YOUR MONEY!! Maybe time to talk to an attorney friend!!

    I am giving two stars because of the only positives: they scheduled my inspection within a few days…read moreof calling and Justin, the technician that arrived, was very nice. However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

I am not satisfied with the service I received. When I initially took my vehicle to you on December 4th, my check engine light was on and my radiator fluid was leaking. I advised I only wanted the issue that led to my check engine light and leak to be fixed because that's all I could afford at the time. I was told it was the cause was the Intake Manifold Gasket. The total came to $5005.22 I got a call saying my vehicle was ready and I picked it up on December 17th (8 days after drop-off). I was told to check engine light was still on and they're not sure why, but they drove the car and everything is fine. I drove my car to enterprise to drop my rental back off and then to the grocery store. While on the freeway, to the grocery store, the car shut off. The coolant and engine overheating warming lights came on. (The issue I just paid $5005.02). I called your shop twice and no answer and then I sent an email. December 18th I received a call back and was advised they will come to my house and pick my truck back up. Two men came and picked my truck up. I got a call December 19th. Stating it was now the heat module management/unit that needed to be replaced which came out to another $1078.54. My car was picked up December 18. I did not receive my car back until January 7th. I was told twice before this date that I was going to get my car back. I ended up having to spend $726 for a rental car. My issue is I had to pay $2000 just to get my car taken apart and I wanted whatever the major issue was to be fixed. According to you, it was the intake manifold gasket, nothing else. The fact that I paid $2000 and the heat module management/unit was not identified as needing to be fixed/replaced, I feel like I got extorted. My car was not a priority even after I said I had a rental car, my car was at your shop for 23 days in total. January 7th, 2026 I picked my car up and I have been doing minimal driving. January 10th the check engine light is back on again. (The issue I just paid a total of $6083.56). Not including rental cars charges of $726. At this point I do not want to take my truck back because it is apparent and I mean no disrespect that your shop does not know how to fix my vehicle. I would like some of my money back.

    I brought my vehicle here based on the name and the positive ratings, expecting a more family…read moreoriented and transparent experience. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that. I was verbally told that metal shavings were present inside the rear differential and that the entire differential assembly needed replacement. I was quoted approximately $3,600 for the repair. When I requested written clarification regarding how this diagnosis was made, including whether the differential was drained or opened, the condition of the fluid, whether photos were taken, and what specific testing procedures were used, no documentation was provided to support the claim. I then obtained a second opinion from another licensed mechanic. The vehicle was properly lifted, road tested, and inspected, and the rear differential was not identified as the source of the issue. The concern was resolved without replacing the differential. My mechanic also contacted this shop directly to ask about the basis for their diagnosis and did not receive any clear explanation. It is not possible to visually confirm internal metal shavings inside a sealed differential without draining the fluid or opening the case. No such procedure was documented on my repair order. Based on my experience, this did not feel like a transparent or customer focused shop. I strongly encourage customers to request written proof and seek a second opinion before authorizing major repairs.

It was a very positive experience and I felt that my car was in good hands. My car repair wasn't the easiest or quickest fix, but the mechanics at Sun Devil were able to get my car back on the road. I was ready to call it quits on my car and just start looking for another one. I hadn't had any luck getting my car repaired properly at my previous visits to other mechanics, but I'm glad I tried this repair shop. I have been to a lot of mechanics over the past several years and have had quite a bit of work done on my car. I can honestly say I didn't have much trust in any mechanic up until this time. This business has now become my go to mechanic. One last thing, after I got my car back and had it running for a day, the manager called me to check on how the car was running!! Incredible! The problem I have is very common issue with jeep compasses: parasitic electrical draw (electronics not turning off when they should). I told sun devil employees that I'm bringing it to them because I'm tired of replacing batteries and want to get to the root of the issue, and they assured me they would fix it. Lo and behold, they call me and tell me the battery is the issue, it's not holding the charge. I told them the battery is like that due to the parasitic draw and if they just replace the battery it's just going to kill another battery. Their response was "well we warranty our work so just bring it back". So here I am, battery is dead again (5th battery btw) and I had to get my car towed to sun devil this morning. They have had my car for several hours now and I called to ask them if they are going to file a claim with my warranty company so that I can have a rental car in order to be able to go to work. Louie or however you spell his name had an attitude and treated me like I was unreasonable to ask if they're going to keep it overnight that they file a claim today so that I can have transportation, seems reasonable to me ESPECIALLY since it's coming back a mere few months later for the same exact issue! And ESPECIALLY since I tried to tell them replacing the battery will not fix the issue. He said something along the lines the lines of "well we haven't looked at it yet and things take time" seems to me like 6 hours is plenty of time to verify that the battery is dead. His response was to pick my car if I don't want them to look at it. I repeatedly asked him if he could at least give me an estimate of when they would be able to file the claim and he just kept saying he didn't know maybe tomorrow. Horrible service and ethics. These people do shoddy work, get people to buy parts and get you in and out, and claim if the customer has any issues they will fix it under warranty. What they don't tell you is they will put your warranty work on the back burner while they do all the customer pay work first because they want the money in hand now, versus spending time to fix their mistakes.
