I ordered an iced ube matcha latte and a hot mocha. Unfortunately both drinks were severely underwhelming. Just by looking at the matcha color, you could tell there was barely any matcha powder. Still i wanted to give it a chance so I took a sip. All I tasted was the oat milk, i couldnt taste any sweetness, matcha, nor ube. The mocha was a similar story, it was really watery and didn't taste remotely like mocha. Maybe I ordered the wrong drinks but it was a very unpleasant experience. The drink required a fair amount of mixing to homogenize and the banana was more chunky than I like. Nonetheless, the sweetness of the banana + caramel paired wonderfully with the smooth, rich coffee. I appreciate that the coffee tasted like a darker roast, I don't think a more sour profile would have worked with the banana and caramel. The drink was pricy but what isn't pricy in SF? The espresso they use I believe is pto coffee which I use to drink on occasion when they would pop up a local brewery for Sunday brunches. ( brewery now closed ) I live for strong coffees and espresso which is what makes me decide if I going back. I did venture out 2 weeks ago and got the New Orleans cold brew soo good. I use go to a cafe that made this a few years ago which was my go to so to have here in case I want to switch it up is a treat. Not sure if it's only seasonal. This is so bad but I can't remember the lady's name on Sundays when we go but it's her the reason I go back. She remembers my husband and I each Sunday we go back. She knows what we get and as always we try a new cannoli we haven't tried. Pretty much have tried them all and so fresh each time. I was walking by and needed a quick gift. It's right across from Caltrain--so convenient, too. Cannolis are HUGE. You can cut them in half! I got a box of 5 and it was a treat, people really enjoyed them. I wish I could've ordered inside. You order on a QR code outside and then wait for them to bring you what you've ordered. It was cold! Good thing I had my knitting. Will be back if I'm in the area!
