Wake cup is such an underrated matcha spot. Small location but sweet man working. Their strawberry matcha is amazing. Tastes fresh & not too sweet. I haven't tried the food just yet but I've been multiple times for their matcha & it's the real deal.
Cute spot for a coffee/boba/light meal! Parking found on Masonic just south of Oak. That block right below Oak is 2-hour without permits, FYI. My friend enjoyed her smoked salmon open sandwich. I got an Iced Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Foam + Boba, total $8.25 with tax/tip. It was delicious, the foam was wonderfully thick and a perfect balance of salty & sweet. 4.5 stars.
the cutest little hole in the wall kinda store! i came in not expecting much but was glad to be pleasantly surprised. the matcha definitely comes through and blends well with the pistachio foam on top. speaking of the foam, it doesn't feel like a chunk of cheese the way others do. it's very smooth and adds to the nutty flavor of the matcha. the staff are also very friendly! i came in about half an hour before closing and the chairs were already stacked on tables etc. but they didn't hesitate to offer bringing them down for me. i declined because i wasn't staying but i think it speaks well to their customer service. for studying: it's definitely a tight squeeze for groups bigger than 1-2 people but there is wifi so you could definitely get some work done here.

At Wake Cup right now--great vibe and solid drinks. Coffee is smooth and well-made, and the spot has a chill Haight Street feel. Service is friendly, just a little slow during busy times. Overall, a nice place to hang and grab a good cup
Tiny, but amazing lil coffee shop on Haight! Stopped by with a friend and got the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cream (seasonal item I think) and the Brown Sugar Matcha. They were so good!! Never had matcha with pistachio cream but it was seriously amazing. Sweet and great flavor! This place has an impressive menu of specialty drinks, whether you want matcha, boba, tea, or coffee. Minimal seating inside but it wasn't busy at all when we came at 2pm on a Sunday.
I've walked by this cafe forever, never seeing past the metal security gate. 11:30a Thursday: Open for business. Great little place with a cheerful yellow & white striped awning, 2 weathered cafe tables outside, both currently occupied by women eating their takeout from another store. There's 2 counters, one along the window so I can stare at them disapprovingly. Whatever, I've done it myself when a place isn't crowded. But still. Wake Cup had a steady line for take-out, & by noon most of the chairs were taken. Staff is friendly, food comes out fast. I overheard a lot of orders for sweetened coffee. Talking to you Brown Sugar Latte. The cafe has an extensive breakfast, lunch & beverage menu. On to the main event. Avocado Toast. Ordered the Supreme, topped with bacon & fried egg. Egg a little runny for me, but I never asked for it more cooked. Decent amount of avocado, sprinkled with seeds over non-artisanal bread. That means prices way more reasonable, & bonus, bread Actually Toasted!! My tea latte was perfectly mixed, presented in a large cup, enough to Wake cUp. Nice alternative to the long lines at some of the other places. If you're in the Upper Haight Wake Up is a solid choice. I'll definitely return. Support Local!
Very cute coffee shop! Passed by this place while on a walk and was happy to see that I could order a lavender latte! I ordered an iced lavender latte with whole milk. It was good! I didn't do a good job of mixing the syrup/the overall drink so I sadly got past all the sweetness in a few sips. They also have soy milk (no extra charge I believe) and other milk alternatives (I think an extra charge). My husband ordered a hot vanilla latte with soy milk. He really enjoyed it and appreciated that it was neither initially too hot to drink nor overly sweet.
Great place for a quick breakfast! I ordered the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cold Foam. Best matcha I've had in awhile! The pistachio complimented the matcha flavor without overpowering it. The Wake Cup Wrap was also delicious and a good serving for one person. My friend tried the iced Spanish Latte and Lox Bagel. She really enjoyed the bagel but said the Spanish Latte tasted a little burnt and it was harder to mix in the condensed milk at the bottom. Our order came out fast and it was not crowded so we were able to sit inside at the tables.

Stopped by while walking down Haight with some friends! Ordered a vanilla matcha with tiramisu cold foam, so delicious! I ordered at the kiosk but you can order with an employee as well. Drink came out super quick. Love the pink vibes and they had a few tables you can sit at and people watch out the window. Loved!! Support small biz and BIPOC owned! Wake Cup had the best reviews for tea/boba in the area. And we happened to be in Haight area. We saw all these Gen Z kiddos coming in, so knew it was going to be very aesthetic and popular. The menu grabbed us both, they had all these creative teas from pineapple tea to pistachio latte. I went with an iced matcha which was delicious. Coloring was a bright green, and zero additives just the way I like my 0%. My friend also enjoyed their iced fruit tea. The folks working the barista station also made the food. Looks like they also sell things like wraps and sandos. We kept spying on the other customers that got salads and bowls. Service was so friendly and welcoming. This is a solid spot to people watch and rest your feet while thrifting. They let me bring my calm dog in, who was just happy to have a place to lie down and rest. There's some outdoor tables good for small duo's or solo diners, and more indoor seating for a larger group. It's def a small cafe or grab and go kind of spot. Bathroom is clean for customers only. read more

Located on Haight street this cafe has many different drink options to choose from! I got the lychee drink and it was very refreshing. The price was reasonable around $6 and the service was very efficient. There is a nice ambiance and seating inside the store. read more

The inside of the shop is pretty small and you order via a tiny kiosk, so your interaction with staff is very minimal. Ordered an iced vanilla latte. Honestly wasn't too memorable but it did its job - that's what decent coffee is supposed to do. It's rare to find a small shop that attempts to do a lot of things (ie. coffee, smoothies, milk teas, AND food) - Would need to come back to try their milk tea and food options. read more
Small cozy cafe in Haight-Ashbury! Very friendly service and huge menu though it is a small shop. Matcha latte was solid and had a satisfying portion size. A bit small but there are still some seats to sit, work, enjoy your drink inside with free WiFi. read more

I stopped by this coffee shop while shopping around and found it to be a nice little spot with some seating, though it was a bit warm inside. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte from the self-order kiosk, and it came with whipped cream on top. Overall, I found the drink to be pretty sweet and could barely taste the pumpkin spice--just a hint of it. The drink was fine, but not something I'd order again. read more

I come here mostly when I need a bathroom in haight-ashbury lol. There's a ton of flavors and unique drinks but I haven't been impressed by any. I recently got the gingerbread latte which was alright. It wasn't too sweet which was nice, and came with a stale biscoff cookie. read more

me and my two friends got Thai iced tea with Boba and a strawberry Matcha. we literally threw it away. The second we left because it tasted like it was made with sewer water. i was so disappointed idk how thai tea could be messed up this bad. it tasted like rusty water with an acidic aftertaste. ruined my day read more
I saw a girl with a tray with iced coffee walking by and knew i had to try it!! Cute lil shop with coffee and food offerings! The breakfast special came with a sausage and egg sandwich and hot coffee or OJ for $7.99. I also got the iced lavender latte which was delicious. We also tried their croissant with egg. They make these with fresh eggs!! So yum would def recommend to try out when on haight street! read more

Came to this place for a quick bite after our morning run. Really well priced and good quality food. My boyfriend got the omelet wrap and I quote "this is the best breakfast burrito I've had" and his go to is breakfast burritos, so very high praise. Everything was freshly made and delicious. A super cute cafe on Haight!! I accidentally walked passed it, but I managed to find it eventually. I ordered a hot lavender latte and a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, sausage, and spinach on brioche. I was a little surprised by the lavender latte; it had a very strong lavender flavor and at first, it kinda tasted like I was drinking perfume. However, as I kept drinking and got used to the flavor, I liked it more. The breakfast sandwich was really delicious. The brioche was super soft and lightly toasted, and the eggs were really tender. The sandwich was juicy and scrumptious, and it even came with a cute fruit side. The staff were really sweet and friendly!! I'll be sure to come back and try their other items. read more
Sometimes in a group we all want different types of drinks, so it's nice to have a one stop shop with a little bit of everything! For drinks they have teas, boba drinks, coffees, lattes, smoothies, spritzers etc. They also sell sandwiches and toasts. I really enjoyed by Strawberry Moijto which is made with housemade stawberry puree and green tea. It was perfectly refreshing, and sweet enough for me at 25%. My husband enjoyed his house coffee, and he's a picky one when it comes to coffee. My daughter slurped up her fruit smoothie. Drinks were quick, and ready earlier than GrubHub estimated. They do have a few outdoor tables. read more
