At Wake Cup right now--great vibe and solid drinks. Coffee is smooth and well-made, and the spot has a chill Haight Street feel. Service is friendly, just a little slow during busy times. Overall, a nice place to hang and grab a good cup

Iced Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Foam + Boba - 4.5 stars, wonderful! Mon afternoon 2025-06-16

Cute spot for a coffee/boba/light meal! Parking found on Masonic just south of Oak. That block right below Oak is 2-hour without permits, FYI. My friend enjoyed her smoked salmon open sandwich. I got an Iced Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Foam + Boba, total $8.25 with tax/tip. It was delicious, the foam was wonderfully thick and a perfect balance of salty & sweet. 4.5 stars.

    Yummy customized drinks!

Delicious food, fast service. So many choices! The lady behind the counter was so friendly & helpful, go here, you won't regret it!

the cutest little hole in the wall kinda store! i came in not expecting much but was glad to be pleasantly surprised. the matcha definitely comes through and blends well with the pistachio foam on top. speaking of the foam, it doesn't feel like a chunk of cheese the way others do. it's very smooth and adds to the nutty flavor of the matcha. the staff are also very friendly! i came in about half an hour before closing and the chairs were already stacked on tables etc. but they didn't hesitate to offer bringing them down for me. i declined because i wasn't staying but i think it speaks well to their customer service. for studying: it's definitely a tight squeeze for groups bigger than 1-2 people but there is wifi so you could definitely get some work done here.

Tiny, but amazing lil coffee shop on Haight! Stopped by with a friend and got the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cream (seasonal item I think) and the Brown Sugar Matcha. They were so good!! Never had matcha with pistachio cream but it was seriously amazing. Sweet and great flavor! This place has an impressive menu of specialty drinks, whether you want matcha, boba, tea, or coffee. Minimal seating inside but it wasn't busy at all when we came at 2pm on a Sunday.

I've walked by this cafe forever, never seeing past the metal security gate. 11:30a Thursday: Open for business. Great little place with a cheerful yellow & white striped awning, 2 weathered cafe tables outside, both currently occupied by women eating their takeout from another store. There's 2 counters, one along the window so I can stare at them disapprovingly. Whatever, I've done it myself when a place isn't crowded. But still. Wake Cup had a steady line for take-out, & by noon most of the chairs were taken. Staff is friendly, food comes out fast. I overheard a lot of orders for sweetened coffee. Talking to you Brown Sugar Latte. The cafe has an extensive breakfast, lunch & beverage menu. On to the main event. Avocado Toast. Ordered the Supreme, topped with bacon & fried egg. Egg a little runny for me, but I never asked for it more cooked. Decent amount of avocado, sprinkled with seeds over non-artisanal bread. That means prices way more reasonable, & bonus, bread Actually Toasted!! My tea latte was perfectly mixed, presented in a large cup, enough to Wake cUp. Nice alternative to the long lines at some of the other places. If you're in the Upper Haight Wake Up is a solid choice. I'll definitely return. Support Local!

    Iced Crème Brûlée Coffee Latte

Crème brûlée latte was SOO good. I walked in just because I was passing by but this is definitely going to be a must stop whenever I'm in the city.

    Wake Cup Wrap

Great place for a quick breakfast! I ordered the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cold Foam. Best matcha I've had in awhile! The pistachio complimented the matcha flavor without overpowering it. The Wake Cup Wrap was also delicious and a good serving for one person. My friend tried the iced Spanish Latte and Lox Bagel. She really enjoyed the bagel but said the Spanish Latte tasted a little burnt and it was harder to mix in the condensed milk at the bottom. Our order came out fast and it was not crowded so we were able to sit inside at the tables.

Very cute coffee shop! Passed by this place while on a walk and was happy to see that I could order a lavender latte! I ordered an iced lavender latte with whole milk. It was good! I didn't do a good job of mixing the syrup/the overall drink so I sadly got past all the sweetness in a few sips. They also have soy milk (no extra charge I believe) and other milk alternatives (I think an extra charge). My husband ordered a hot vanilla latte with soy milk. He really enjoyed it and appreciated that it was neither initially too hot to drink nor overly sweet.

cute little spot for breakfast sandwiches. my friend and i each got our own croissant sandwich. i got mine with ham, egg, cheese and my friend got hers with egg, avocado, and mushroom. there's a small bar seating inside but otherwise, seating is limited.

Well located coffee spot in the Haight. The few seats are on stools which is not great. Prices are okay for these days. Ordering either on a machine or in person. Still getting use to it.

I have found the best specialty coffee shop in San Francisco!! Thank you Wake Cup for a yummy experience. This place is tiny but so worth it. I ordered the crème brûlée latte and it was delicious!!!! I'll definitely be back!!

The inside of the shop is pretty small and you order via a tiny kiosk, so your interaction with staff is very minimal. Ordered an iced vanilla latte. Honestly wasn't too memorable but it did its job - that's what decent coffee is supposed to do. It's rare to find a small shop that attempts to do a lot of things (ie. coffee, smoothies, milk teas, AND food) - Would need to come back to try their milk tea and food options.

But it's super close to Dolores Park, so we usually just grab our sandwiches and head there to eat. The chocolate chip cookie was also a standout. It's more of a brown butter, dark chocolate situation, rich but really well balanced, and the perfect sweet treat after the sandwich. Great texture, slightly spicy, really solid pimento cheese. A cup was enough to make 3-4 sandwiches at home. Great staple to have for a quick lunch at home. Egg salad, I got the pint ($16), this was really solid too, although I added some additional salt and pepper to taste. The pint is great for family, easily can make 5-6 sandwiches with the amount of a pint. Honestly a cup order would've been good for me. Egg salad is one of those things I don't want to make myself, so thankfully Sandy's sells theirs lol If you are looking for an affordable way to make tasty sandwiches at home, and like egg salad and pimento cheese like me, definitely worth checking out to satisfy the craving.
