We explained at airport counter and again at location in Goodyear. We returned the car within 2 hours and Avis at the Hampton Inn charged us $120. When we asked to keep car they said they couldn't cancel the return. So we left car there paying $120 to drive for 2 hours. Horrible customer service in everyway. Both agent at airport and Caby Welsh Store Manager at Hampton Inn. Sometimes families ARE the exception (do not fit the box) WE DID NOT KNOW OUR MYSTERY CAR WAS ALM ELECTRIC- but nit even slight accommodation given for the difficulty of managing an electric car for someone with mental/developmental disabilities. Called and explained to both locations but they both refused to adjust our reservation. They did not even try to arrange for a solution at all. Their motto is not even close to being accurate. It was easy to exchange it for the 12' truck when I got to my destination but that place only had one employee as well. I hadn't had any luck getting my car repaired properly at my previous visits to other mechanics, but I'm glad I tried this repair shop. I have been to a lot of mechanics over the past several years and have had quite a bit of work done on my car. I can honestly say I didn't have much trust in any mechanic up until this time. This business has now become my go to mechanic. One last thing, after I got my car back and had it running for a day, the manager called me to check on how the car was running!! Incredible! The problem I have is very common issue with jeep compasses: parasitic electrical draw (electronics not turning off when they should). I told sun devil employees that I'm bringing it to them because I'm tired of replacing batteries and want to get to the root of the issue, and they assured me they would fix it. Lo and behold, they call me and tell me the battery is the issue, it's not holding the charge. I told them the battery is like that due to the parasitic draw and if they just replace the battery it's just going to kill another battery. Their response was "well we warranty our work so just bring it back". So here I am, battery is dead again (5th battery btw) and I had to get my car towed to sun devil this morning. They have had my car for several hours now and I called to ask them if they are going to file a claim with my warranty company so that I can have a rental car in order to be able to go to work. Louie or however you spell his name had an attitude and treated me like I was unreasonable to ask if they're going to keep it overnight that they file a claim today so that I can have transportation, seems reasonable to me ESPECIALLY since it's coming back a mere few months later for the same exact issue! And ESPECIALLY since I tried to tell them replacing the battery will not fix the issue. He said something along the lines the lines of "well we haven't looked at it yet and things take time" seems to me like 6 hours is plenty of time to verify that the battery is dead. His response was to pick my car if I don't want them to look at it. I repeatedly asked him if he could at least give me an estimate of when they would be able to file the claim and he just kept saying he didn't know maybe tomorrow. Horrible service and ethics. These people do shoddy work, get people to buy parts and get you in and out, and claim if the customer has any issues they will fix it under warranty. What they don't tell you is they will put your warranty work on the back burner while they do all the customer pay work first because they want the money in hand now, versus spending time to fix their mistakes.

As I waited in their lobby, the oil and the belt were replaced in just over two hours. The money I paid was well worth it, as I felt satisfied and secure in my vehicle after it left the shop. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard the owners speaking with another customer. They offered to assist the other customer when they didn't have to. They were willing to go above and beyond on their own time to help the community. When you come here, you're not just a customer or a number; you become Family, and I like to see that.
