Carne asada - Three carne asada tacos topped with crumbled cheese, chopped cilantro, and diced onions are arranged on a metal tray lined with printed paper. The tacos are made with soft corn tortillas and contain grilled beef. A small cup of green sauce is placed on the tray. The setting suggests a casual dining environment, likely at a Mexican or taco restaurant.

This business used to be a food truck that frequented local events. Now they have permanent spot in Keller's eastern business district. The tacos were delicious, I had Tacos Al Pastor, my wife the Carne Asada. Both were great! This family run business treats their customers like family. The interior is modern, clean taqueria look. Our only disappointment was the salsa, it's too gringo-centric, it would be nice if they offered a hotter, more flavorful salsa.

What a nice surprise to find this hidden gem close by. Avila Taco is family owned and operated, originally started as a food truck and now has a retail location here in Keller. The menu has plenty of options to choose from, but they're best known for their birria meat and tacos. The pichana caught our eye as a shareable option: 8 ounces of perfectly seared and seasoned medium rare beef, along with cilantro lime rice, pinto beans, and blue sopes trio consisting of beef, chicken, and al pastor pork toppings--absolutely delicious. Additional tortillas were necessary, and they brought them out in a flash. Avila Taco is definitely a place you want to take your time and enjoy your meal, you definitely get that home cooked feeling with service as if you were a family dinner.

My family and I tried out Avila Taco after seeing amazing reviews online. The food was alright, but considering the reviews, we expected to be blown away. I also wish they had fountain drinks. I would definitely give it another shot and try something else!

We picked up an order to eat at home and oh my - oh my! How delicious . The nachos and the tacos we ordered tasted freshly made and not aged and gelatinous (as what usually happens with nachos & tacos from other establishments). Already planning on making a return visit to eat inside!

Birria Tacos - Three tacos filled with diced onions are arranged on a tray lined with branded paper. Accompanying the tacos are a lime wedge, a small cup of green jalapeño slices, a cup of dark sauce, and a can of Coke. The tray is placed on a restaurant table with a napkin holder and a table number card visible in the background.

Run -- don't walk -- to Avila. The birria was absolutely delicious, and the service was spot on. The owner was incredibly friendly and even came out to chat with me, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. A surprising standout for me was the salsa verde -- honestly the best I've ever had. I'll be ordering extra next time without question. They offer both beef and chicken birria (I've only had the beef so far, but the chicken is next on my list), and they serve it in all kinds of fun and creative ways -- including birria grilled cheese and birria mac and cheese. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Avila Taco is a must-stop in Keller and a place I'll be returning to time and time again!

A lime wedge and a small cup of dark sauce are included, along with a portion of pickled red onions. The presentation emphasizes traditional Mexican flavors and ingredients.

I've wanted to try this place ever since I saw people posting about it on Facebook. They were busy, but attentive. The owner walked around and checked on everyone. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more!

The image shows a black interior wall with a painted logo for Avila Taco, featuring a white outline of a taco above the bold red text 'AVILA' and white cursive 'taco' underneath. In front of the wall, there are tables and chairs, including a small stool and a table with a paper towel holder. The setting appears to be part of a casual dining area within the restaurant.

Best birria in the DFW area! I have been to the one in downtown Fort Worth that has a form of a Michelin star. They are good, but this place is better. Atmosphere wise it's a mix between a velvet taco and a taco casa. The staff is well informed and very kind. Try it!

Very good Birria grilled cheese sandwich, comes with fries. This was our first stop at Avila Taco, and we plan to return to try more of the menu. This is a small casual, order at the register spot. The service was very friendly (especially an older gentleman, wish I had gotten his name). Had a pretty good crowd for lunch on a Friday. Check it out.

The food is so good here. I had the quesadilla and loved it. My husband had the Birria grilled cheese and loved it. I wish it was opened on Sunday though.

Glad we stopped here for lunch. The food was delicious and owner was very nice and offered us to try his Birria! It was delicious! The blue corn Sopes trio was unique and would order again. We'll be back!

Excellent Birria tacos! Excited to see a new taco spot at Keller Crossing I went to Availa Taco today for what I planned to be a light lunch, but I ended up inhaling three birria tacos. I've had many birria experiences and the consume is either a hit or miss, in this case it is a hit! Every bite was the perfect bite with their ratio of meat and cheese. Lightly grilled with a nice portion of consume and delicious green sauce that has a kick but is not overly spicy. This family owned brick and mortar is from the popular food truck you've likely had or seen around Keller. Just like the food truck you can expect kind and quick service (seriously quick I waited less than five minutes for my to-go order) and scrumptious eats. The brick and mortar gives you an opportunity to sit down in the casual dining room. It is fast food-ish in the way you first order and pay, they give you a number, the food is brought to your table and you dispose trash in the bin. My tacos ( comes with 3) were about $17 after tax. Highly recommend supporting our family owned and Keller grown establishment.

I heard of Hoshi Ramen, while looking for restaurants I might want to visit in the future…read more Today, was that day, that I went to Hoshi Ramen. The restaurant is very elegant, very neat, clean and well organized. I got there as they opened, and was promptly greeted by Ms. Lucy, hoste/waitress, who was soft spoken, very welcoming, with a very nice smile and beautiful personality, and was very efficient. She took my order, brought me a glass of water, and I ordered the Shoyu chicken ramen for $13.00 plus $2.00 added for a large. The Shouyu Chicken ramen was very delicious, the chicken broth was so good great flavor. Albeit, in my humble opinion the noodles, other toppings and chicken was very sparse for the price of the ramen. But, as far as taste goes it was one the best I have had so far. I also had the chicken fried rice bowl, for $10.00 $2.00 added for chicken, and gyoza (6pcs), for $7.00. to go for my daughter. The chicken fried rice was very flavorful, and daughter said the guys was very delicious. I will most definitely be coming here again the food was very satisfying, Ms. Lucy, is awesome and very kind. Please come on in and support this great ramfn restaurant. Hope to see you there. I highly recommend it.

Back from Japan and craving Ramen we started the hunt for a local spot today…read more The service was excellent and the restaurant itself had a nice ambiance. Gyoza to start that were nice and crispy, could have done with more than the teaspoonful of sauce we were given though. Maximum tea points, hot green tea that tasted delicious and was served in the cutest little pot I've seen in a while. It was a terrible pourer though, but the waiter warned me and put some napkins on the table to clean up. The ramen was quite disappointing, I know how spoiled I currently am with the memory of Ichibahn burned into my brain, but...these were quite pricey and not that good. The broth was lightly flavored with little depth, the beansprouts and corn (why are these in my ramen?) Moved the flavour profile even brighter and there was quite a lot of green onion. With a $5 add on for 2 small slices of extra pork that's a $20 bowl. So yes, 3 stars. They have bottled Kirin so I might be back, but I will be exploring the other menu items.

The place was empty when we we came, 530p on a Wednesday. Took a seat and were waited on immediately (obviously) and browsed the menu. They had several "special" rolls and then their standard options too, but I'm talking at least 40 different options...so we took our time. We started with a 2025 roll and a Hawaii roll. Both had about 7-8 pieces and were decent size. Not super big and not small, definitely fair for the price. Both were really, really good, and more importantly, tasted fresh! We added a 2020 roll as a finisher and it too was really good. A few other people showed up during our dinner. They have good lounge, house music playing and its very clean inside. We'll definitely be back soon. Price, quality, service are all excellent. This place is closed on Mondays.

I ran across Little Lily Sushi Too and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Tuna Tower, spicy tuna roll, the chicken kaarage appetizer and a miso soup (to go). I was greeted warmly upon entering, and my food was prepared quickly and packaged securely. It's the only time I've ordered a Tuna Tower (from any sushi restaurant in the last 4 years) that remained intact and beautifully presented when I unpacked my order. Everything was delicious and prepared with skill and care. I love the flavor of the lump crab in the tuna tower (most places use imitation crab, which is tasty, but is less refined tasting than what I ordered today). The spicy tuna roll definitely had a bit of a "kick", in a good way. And not a mayo-based spicy tuna. The chicken kaarage was very tasty, though it lost a little bit of the crunchy batter texture from the drive back to my home. But very flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The miso soup had a richness to the flavor...very comforting for a cold evening. I'm glad I found this gem in the Keller area! I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu items in the future.

Atmosphere is cute, definitely nice for a date night with the ambient lighting and cute floral decor. The food was a huge win for us along with the LARGE beer glasses that come out nice and frosted (ask for the coldest glasses). We enjoyed the octopus salad, chicken kaarage, some fried fish that came on the house, super philidelphia roll, crawfish roll, softshell crab, chicken katsu don, and salmon skin handroll. Everything was really great quality and quantity. My top favorites for the night were the octopus salad, a great combonation of seaweed salad, octopus, and cucumber salad. Extremely flavorful and a great way to start the night. The chicken kaarage was beautifully battered, not too heavy and very well seasoned, pairing well with the sauce that accompanied it. The soft shell crab... was one of the best I've had in DFW! I honestly was tempted to order more because it was nicely fried (seriously a great batter) and the light sauce helped amplify the flavor of the crab. Yummmm! The salmon skin handroll was tasty and crunchy with a nice balance of flavor. I think the key is making sure you eat from the sides and have a bit of the center with each bite, since the sauce is centralized there. If not I can see it being too salty for some. Overall we really enjoyed our meal here and plan on returning with friends!
