Worse pizza dough ever, definitely not a place I would recommend or make a return visist

Service was good very friendly lady, but the food omg I can finally say Ive had the Worst pizza and stromboli I ever had in my life! The dough was old, days old or just bad dough all together horrible. My salad was good. Now the filthy tables,ledges had spider webs dusty, the salt, pepper and seasoning and table plus napkin holder was so sticky grungy filthy after touching was on my hands smelled so bad. No pride seems to be given in that so called Authentic Italian cuisine LmFao work on that dough was So So Bad! Also why did the food come out 1 dish at a time????? We had pizza and pasta delivered and enjoyed it very much! Portions are very large and we were glad to have leftovers for the next day! The cheese on the pizza is a great blend! We stayed at the Gould Hotel and while there are many restaurants within a block of it, my daughter wanted pizza. We chose Avicollis over Little Italy which was one more block over. The rating of 3 is unfair. The food was good. I could tell the manicotti was homemade and came with a salad bar and garlic knots. We also got the garlic bread (didn't know my meal came with the knots). The server was pleasant and the red wine was pretty decent. Ate inside twice, and takeout once, all in one weekend. The food was all great! I loved the mussels in white wine sauce, plain pizza, garlic knots, and deep fried ravioli! This place was hot and dark which is great for some things, but poor for a restaurant in August. "The manager, he set", said the very nice, efficient waitress. There was food. It was ok. I did kinda have to shut my eyes a little when I thought about what the kitchen might look because "fresh" was not what sprung to my nose when we walked in. He had stuffed shells with a side of meatballs. I had lasagna. His meatballs, eh I make better. My lasagna, was oddly shaped with no layering at all, something I like to see in a what is typically layered dish. It was lumpy and honestly looked like someone had wrapped a handful of cheese in a single noodle. And the meals came with a salad bar! Who is still doing that kind of germ fest? These people. It also came with some excellent bread knots (with no garlic! I ask you?!?!) that gives me hope for their pizza. TBD. Wegman's carries their spaghetti sauce, as they do carry a few other local items, and so I had a little hope this might be great. Just had the best take out dinner in the last 10 months. We ordered the "Taste of Italy" consisting of veal parmigiana, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo, and an Antipasto salad. The entree came with a fresh tossed salad, and warm garlic knots. This is quality Italian food. The sauce is like homemade, and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious.. Been going here for a while everything was fine but now when you order 2 subs around $20.00 all of a sudden menu has changed can no longer order just a sub you get a choice of chips, fries or onion rings for no extra charge but when you get the bill the $20.00 is over $30.00 that is $1.00 for every onion ring, so much for no extra charge. My wife ordered a Blue Moon but the w apologized they were out of oranges. This was a Friday night. #Fail. Daughters ordered pizza slices but they didn't have the specialty pizzas that were on the menu. They smiled and order some that were. One slide was a special request to add brocolli. The W said - "You know, it wont be cooked on top right?" WTF? Pass. The wife and I ordered a Sausage roll, some good italian saisage, chees, peppers wrapped in a crust. Youngets ordered a meatball sub. The pizza came out first. And TEN minutes later the rest of our food. Told the girls to eat cause we did not want it getting cold. But the meatball sub that arrived with our roll was COLD. The roll was bland sausage and bland peppers and way too much cheese. We ate some, left most and go the heck out of there. I looked over the menu that was posted online before calling to order. The person that answered the phone was not friendly and kept telling me that the things I wanted they didn't carry. If that's the case then the online menu needs to be updated. The pizza we ordered looked good but the crust was tough and over cooked. The fried mushrooms were okay but half of them were a different color. The chicken tenders had a weird taste. The cannoli was missing half of it's filling and the shell was bland. I called the company I ordered a sausage and cheese calzone the girl put me on hold. Stopped in for a quick take-out dinner last week. We did have to wait quite a while for our subs to get done, but not an awful amount of time. I got a chickem parm sub, which was really good. I was quite happy with the results overall. My buddy however did not like his sub. He asked for an Italian (Ham, salami, capicola), they didn't have capicola nor know what it was. This review is for take-out service only. We frequently order in on Friday evenings, and our selection of spots that deliver is a bit limited. Avicolli's food has been pretty good of late, and until last night was our go-to. Actually, it was the third strike, after the last two instances orders were delivered cold. This time I mentioned that when I ordered and was assured that they would see to it that it didn't happen again. It took just over an hour to get our food (not a complaint - this was around 6:00 on a Friday night, but be aware), and - hooray - it was piping hot. That's when the trouble began. Missing from the order were a side salad & garlic knots (both included with a main dish order, and the dressing for a chef salad. Called to let them know and was told that they'd 'get it right out', then waited another 30 minutes. Met the driver a the door and looked in the bag - garlic knots and the chef salad dressing, but no side salad. The last straw was the chef salad. They were so skimpy with the lettuce that I had to add some of my own to make it a decent size. Some of the ingredients are more costly these days, but lettuce? I know they're really busy and probably short-staffed, but having two tries at getting it right and still blowing it, on top of being stingy with the ingredients was, at least for the foreseeable future, the last straw for us. All that being said, the food is well prepared, and I'd bet (hope) that the dine-in experience is considerably less fraught. Caveat emptor. read more

My fiancé and I went to Seneca Falls for vacation and we got into our hotel and ordered pizza around 8:20pm. They said it would take a little less than an hour so at 9:30pm, we called to see where it was and they said the delivery guy was out with our pizza. 9:40pm, we called back and they now said a girl was delivering it. At 9:58pm, our pizza finally arrived and it was so cold. Also, they lied because it wasn't a girl, but a guy delivered it. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me to call in the morning. I spoke to the manager and so rude. I asked for a refund and and he kept saying he'll give me a credit, which I told him that we were only there for that night. He asked for my address to send a check. I'm not stupid and I knew he wasn't going to. This company is awful and I would never order from them again. If we didn't use our card, we would have canceled it all together. Also, the manager lied and said he can't refund me because it happened the day before. That is a lie because I worked in food and it does happen. Stay away from this place unless you like no customer service and cold food. If your getting wings and pizza, this is just as good as any other local place. If your dining in, or are looking for something other than those staples Little Italy is a newer, cleaner atmosphere. I went to Avicolli's Pizza for dinner on 8/18/15. Since the restaurant was half empty, I was concerned that food wouldn't be any good. However, I enjoyed the pizza. Although, it was not in a traditional New York style (i.e. thin crust); my vegetable pizza was chalk full of the toppings (as you can see in my picture). I got a large pizza and it was a lot of food. I had a lot of left overs. If I come again I am going to keep that in mind when choosing my size. The restaurant's ambiance is a little outdated but it was easy to overlook with the good pizza and service. Good service. Good food. Restaurant smelled like sewer gas. Complained to server. Server said City was doing work on City sewer lines and other places had the same issue. Drain lines on all drains in all buildings are supposed to have gas traps and sewer line vents on the roof to prevent sewer gas leakage into the building.
